When I got home

When I got home I flopped down on the couch, my head hurt a little from all day today. I looked at my cell phone and realized it was one in the afternoon. I had missed the morning classes to go to the job interview. I stood up and went to the kitchen, took the four pieces of pizza out of the fridge and put them in the oven. That would be my lunch.

After lunch I took a quick bath, put on worn pants, a short shirt, and white tennis shoes. I tied my hair in a scruffy bun and left the house.

"Beth!" I heard a voice behind me. I turned around, just to make sure it was Tyler. "Hey, wait." When he reached me he gasped a little, he had run halfway down the hall. I forgot to mention that Tyler lived in the same building as me, in the back apartment.

"I'm in a hurry," I told him, heading for the elevator.

"Grace told me you had a job interview," he commented, following me. When we got to the elevator we both went inside, I pressed the button for floor one and the doors closed.
