Millie struggled to open her eyes, trying to make out who it was. But with the light streaming in behind them, all she could make out was a tall silhouette and nothing else.

"Who are you? How dare you mess with me? Do you know I'm—"

Before Alex could finish, the newcomer sent him flying with a heavy kick. The next moment, Millie found herself in a warm embrace.
