Lorcan had an irritated expression on his face when he left Celia’s room so she could have a private conversation with her brother. Lorcan didn’t want to leave Celia alone with her brother knowing how Jericho is also against with their relationship, but Lorcan trusts Celia and he is simply not the controlling person in their relationship.Lorcan couldn’t forget the conversation he had with Jericho the other day which is also the same day when they saw Celia and Raven drowning in the lake. Lorcan was hoping to ask Jericho for a favor, but Jericho took it offensively knowing that he was asking him to lie to their father so he could cover up for his sister. Lorcan and Jericho’s conversation did not went well. On top of that, Lorcan wasn’t able to explain his side and tell him how serious he is with his sister because they heard a loud shriek by the lake which interrupted their whole conversation. The whole fiasco also happened after that giving them no chance to continue their convers
Lorcan scoffed. “Funny how I was supposed to tell you to stay away from my girlfriend,” Lorcan emphasized the word girlfriend causing bad goosebumps to course all over Raven’s body. Raven clenched her fist as she stared at the smug look on Lorcan’s face. He’s deliberately sticking it to her face that she is his unwanted mate just to annoy her, If Ember had only recovered, she would have howled in pain. Until now, Raven could still feel no signs of her wolf. She could just feel her recuperating at the back of her head. Raven scoffs back. “Oh I am trying so hard to keep my distance from your girlfriend but she’s always coming for me. I’m not even talking to her, I was completely ignoring her but she’s always causing trouble by going to where I was,” Raven rebutted. She couldn’t believe that he had the audacity to say those words when it’s pretty obvious that his girlfriend is the one attracting trouble. Lorcan is left speechless, having nothing to say against Raven’s words. After a
Lorcan frowned at Raven’s choice of words. “Harassment? Celia is not the type of person who will harass others. Harassment is a heavy word to use don’t you think?Celia had told me everything that happened at the bridge. She said it was all just an accident. She was afraid that you will turn things against her that’s why she lied. She lied out of fear and you knew that what happened was only an accident.”Raven sighed, until the very end Lorcan chose to defend his girlfriend and believe her lies.“Lorcan, you shouldn’t believe everything that you hear especially the words that comes from the person you knew had already lied to you,” Raven answered nonchalantly still without looking at him.Lorcan opened his mouth, about to defend Celia once again, but Raven had cut him short.“I think I should make it clear that just because I am willing to turn a blind eye in your relationship with
Celia couldn’t hide away the smile that stretched over her face after she and her brother had ended up in an agreement. Finally with her brother on her side, there will be one less problem for her to worry about. Jericho would take care of their father for her and she could finally focus on winning Lorcan’s parents and stealing the Luna title from Raven.Celia grinned. Celia’s day took down for the worst, but at least she managed to win her brother’s favor and see how far he had Lorcan wrapped around her finger.Jericho is an upright person and he holds the same values as their father. You could say that Jericho is just like Beta Colton when he was just his age. In fact, Jericho is even better than his father.Celia thought that there’s no way she could ever convince Jericho to be on her side. More especially, she had never expected him to volunteer to cover up for her and protect her from their father.
Lorcan was not expecting such extreme negative reaction from Celia when he suggested that she should reconcile with Raven. Of course, Lorcan was expecting hesitation and hostility from her, but he wasn’t expecting that she would snap at him, that she would have such violent reaction from a simple suggestion.Celia’s aura just changed. Suddenly, she is not the same woman that Lorcan has known anymore.Celia had always been the kind and gentle person that Lorcan has always known. Celia is carefree like a breeze, always in smiles, looking so innocent. The person in front of Lorcan however is different. She is still Celia, but she doesn’t feel like Celia. Her aura has changed. Lorcan could feel the amount of anger radiating off her. He had no idea that by just suggesting that she should reconcile with Raven would make her turn this angry.Lorcan was speechless as he starts to see Celia for the first time. Her hands had balled
Raven was just getting ready for breakfast. She already had her clothes on and was just about to leave when someone rushed in frantically. “Raven! Raven!” Raven could hear Robin already shouting her name before she could enter her room. Raven turned around and faced Robin at the door, panting. She held her knees as she chased her breath under the door frame. Raven’s brows drew together “What is it?” She asked her in concern. She walked towards Robin to help her settle down, but Robin raised her hand up refusing to move out of the doorframe.“You wouldn’t believe this,” Robin muttered in between breaths. Raven could not imagine what could be so important so early in the morning that Robin had to rush from the courtyard and all the way here into her room. Even though Robin and Wren were her attendants, they are still workers for the renovation project at the courtyard which means they had to continue their regular work there and can’t be around Raven
Wren hissed in pain and retracted her hand when she felt a sharp pain on the back of her palm. Blood trickled out of her small deep scratches because of Raven’s sharp wolfish nails. Raven finally calmed down when she had accidentally injured Wren. Her wolfish eyes turned to it’s usual black color and her nails retracted as her anger was replaced with genuine concern over Wren. She turned over to Wren with worry filling her eyes. She tried to snatch Wren’s hand to see what she had done, but Wren was so fast — she hid her hand behind her back before Raven could even see how deeply she had scratched her skin.“Raven, we should go back,” Wren stole Raven’s attention from her hand.Although her hand is stinging, and she could feel the blood forming out of it, she just ignored the pain and pretended that her hand was fine for she did not want to add into Raven’s worries.Raven stilled. A lump formed inside her throat as she stared into Wren’s soft eyes that were slig
A few months had passed since Lorcan had wrapped up his investigation. Celia was never caught for her crimes and the man that they caught had to live in shame for his entire life.Even so, Raven couldn’t bring herself to feel bad for that man. This was the path that he had chosen. He chose not to be honest with his job and take all the blame to protect Celia. He could have told them the truth, but he chose to lie and hide the truth until the very end. How could Raven pity him for what his life had become when he could have done something to avoid it?He had a bright future ahead of him, but because of his crimes, he was blacklisted and is no longer qualified to become a warrior.Just when he had only about two years left of training to be declared as an official warrior, he did a terrible mistake that ruined his future. If only he had chosen to tell the truth, he could have saved his career. However, for some reasons he still chose to be loyal to Celia until the every end.Raven wonde
