Chapter 35: The Oscar Winner

Raven couldn’t believe how far Celia would go in fooling others. At first, she pretended that she was drowning and doesn’t know how to swim. Now, she’s pretending that she had suffered worse than her.

Raven rolled her eyes at Celia’s laughable schemes. Even though Raven drank a lot of water and inhaled a lot of water in her lungs, she did not act exaggeratedly just like Celia who did not even drank any water from the lake.

Celia coughed loudly as she lied on the shores drenched wet just like Raven. Her cough sounded like she was going to die, it was so exaggerated.

Nevertheless, it still fooled everyone into thinking that Celia almost drowned in the lake there and that she clearly needed help.

Raven stared at Celia’s pitiful state. She looked like a poor little dog that fell off the lake. She acted like the perfect victim and with her innocent looking face there is no wonder why everyone is fooled.
