Things only got worse for Raven ever since she had waken up. She thought that the pain would be over and she could finally recover in peace with the help of Luna Savina and the Pack Doctor, but things only got worse for her from then on. Every night, pain would rack Raven’s body like her flesh was being eaten by millions of ants. She would bite her tongue in pain as her body burned and no one could help her stop the immense pain that she is feeling all over her body. The pack doctor couldn’t explain what was happening to her and there was no cure that could help her numb the pain that she was feeling. They could only hope that one night it would never trouble Raven anymore just like how the pain leaves her every certain time of the night as if it never came.Raven’s pain only happens at a certain window of time of the night. Raven would wrench in pain on hours end until the pain stops and fades away on its own. The pain would come and go from her body at an exact time every night.
Raven’s recovery was doing fine. She never fell into a fever ever again and her body no longer experienced any pain anymore. She also doesn’t feel as weak as she did before and she could finally do most of the things that she used to do before. The pack doctor had also cleared her and said that as long as she eats on time, gets enough sleep and continue to drink her medicine, then they wouldn’t have to worry more about her recovery anymore. However, Luna Savina did not want to risk it. Even though the pack doctor had given her the go signal, Luna Savina still forced her to stay in her room all day and have enough rest until she fully recovers all the power that she had lost. Luna Savina is afraid to let Raven go out while her wolf is too weak that she couldn’t even shift yet. She is afraid that something bad might happen to Raven again and this time, her wolf would be too weak to even take most of the damage for her. Although Raven feels fine and she doesn’t see any problem about
Raven stood up from her seat when Celia entered their private room. Celia had no idea that it was Raven who came to meet her. She thought it was the Alpha or Luna or both. She doesn’t care who appears to meet her, as long as it was one of them. She only came here for one purpose and that is to convince them to let her and Lorcan be together. Raven’s heart twisted inside her chest when she saw Celia’s state. Celia was drenched wet, her skin and lips were sickly pale and her whole body is trembling in cold as she clutches on to the warm blanket that is wrapped around her. As Raven looks at her, she also noticed the drastic changes in her body. Celia has become thinner than the last time she saw her, signs that she hadn’t been eating well. There were also deep bags under her swollen eyes, signs that she is not getting enough sleep and that she has been crying recently. Raven immediately felt guilty as she blamed herself for what happened to her. If only she did not turned out to be
Celia looks at Raven in disdain. She couldn’t believe how worthless and weak Raven is. She couldn’t reject her mate, nor could she survive as a rogue. How can someone as weak as her be chosen by the moon goddess as their Luna?Celia scoffs and rolled her eyes at Raven. “You are just making excuses because you don’t want to give up the Luna position.Of course what should I expect from you. Anyone in your state would be reluctant to give up their power once they finally have a taste of it. Stop lying to me that you never want this. I know you enjoyed the whole thing as well.”Raven lowered her head and bit her lower lip. Enjoy? How could she enjoy this new life? Ever since she became Lorcan’s mate and was proclaimed as the future Luna of the Moonvalley Pack, everyone hated her and she was almost killed by her own mate. Why would she enjoy this new life?“Celia, if only I can do it I really will do it, but how can I do it if it will cost me my life? Celia, I do not want to die.” Raven a
Raven’s breathing turned back to normal when Lorcan averted his gaze from her to Celia. Raven thought that she would die then and there. Lorcan looked so ready to lunge at her with murderous look he had on his eyes. Thankfully, Lorcan was able to catch himself when the pack doctor rushed into the room, steeling Lorcan from his thoughts. “How is she?” Lorcan asks the pack doctor worriedly as he stares over Celia’s unconscious body. The pack doctor places his palm on top of Celia’s forehead to feel through her vitals by using the power of her wolf. Not every werewolf can be a pack doctor. There are only few werewolves gifted by the moon goddess with minimal healing powers and ability to check on someone else’s vitals. The pack doctor’s eyes widened when he sensed something wrong with Celia. He moved his hand to her pulse to check her life. “There is wolfsbane in her system,” the pack doctor tells Lorcan which they already knew about. Wolfsbane is a werewolf’s number one weakness
Alpha Axel did not want Celia to stay in the packhouse, and he doesn’t want her to be anywhere near Lorcan. However, Lorcan couldn’t care less about his father and what he wants even though he is the Alpha of his pack. Lorcan is ready to defy his own father just for Celia.Even if it means going against his own father, no one could stop him from taking care of Celia.Lorcan took Celia in one of the packhouse’s best room. He even called the best omegas to take care of Celia. He stayed right by her side as she rested and waited for her to wake up.Even the pack doctor who had no power to reduce the effects of wolfsbane in Celia’s body, was forced to stay in case that something bad happens to her.Celia comes from a long line of betas. She did not even drink much from the poisoned drink. What bad could possibly happen to her?Lorcan is so smitten by Celia that he is treating her like a delicate flower. He couldn’t even be bothered when his mate was fighting for her life.If Celia had dra
Raven had a smile on her face as she cooked a recovery soup for Celia. She worked her way in the kitchen, wearing a cute white apron as she personally cooked Celia’s food to make sure that it won’t be poisoned this time.Raven was expecting to see some omegas in the kitchen, but she was surprised to see that the kitchen was empty when she arrived. She wondered where the omegas in charge in the kitchen are. She guesses that the omegas who work in the kitchen, doesn’t stay in the kitchen all day long. After all omegas also have their own life as well.Raven is just glad to have the whole kitchen on her own. She knows she won’t be able to work well if there were omegas in the kitchen watching her as she cooks.Raven places her cooked soup in a cute bowl and places it on the food tray. She had a smile on her face, completely satisfied with the delicious food she cooked for Celia. The recovery soup that Raven cooked for Celia is one of the easiest dish to cook that is perfect to eat when s
Raven stood meekly beside the room intimidated by the presence of the Alpha and Luna.Luna Savina smiles softly as she walks near Celia’s bed. “We received the news that Celia is already awake. Celia, how do you feel?”Celia looked surprised by the Luna’s question. She looked up at Lorcan with an unsure gaze. Lorcan gives her a small smile to assure her.“I feel much better now,” Celia spoke in a timid voice.“Then in that case our job is done here. Now that you had recovered, it’s time for you to leave the packhouse.” Alpha Axel spoke firmly as soon as he heard Celia’s reply.Celia’s eyes widened and she looked at Lorcan with eyes begging for help.“Father, she just woke up. She hadn’t even regained most of her strength yet,” Lorcan spoke up.Alpha Axel’s brows furrowed. “The pack doctor told me that what happened to her wasn’t a
“Luna we found them!” Raven stood up abruptly while Luna Savina cried out in relief when they finally received the report that they have been waiting to hear. After Raven killed the others and brought Celia to the dungeon for her punishment. She commanded all her scouts and the Pack Warriors to search for Lorcan and Ruston. Raven had no idea how it happened, but Lorcan miraculously happened to survive. She’s just not sure if Ruston also did. Raven knew Lorcan was still alive because her connection with Lorcan was still there, it did not leave her. If Lorcan was dead, she would have felt her bond with him snap. Raven rushes to the place where Ruston and Lorcan are taken for recovery. Tears filled her eyes when she saw Lorcan lying unconscious on the bed with blood, wounds, and bruises all over his body. “Where is Ruston?” Raven asked when she finally saw Lorcan, but couldn’t find her son around. Fear gripped her heart, thinking if Lorcan had failed to save their son if her son’s
“A Lunarborn, I never thought I would ever see a Lunarborn in the flesh,” A man spoke not far from them, stealing Raven’s attention.“It’s true what they said then. The Nightshade Pack was attacked by rogues because they are looking for the Lunarborn wolf,” Declan added as he came forward with his daughter beside him and an unknown man behind them. Raven smirked. It’s better that they are now all here, so she can end them once and for all. She is going to avenge Lorcan and her son right there and then.“They say a drop of blood of Lunarborn is enough to strengthen a weak werewolf. I wonder if that is true,” Declan spoke with excitement as evil thoughts filled his head. The reason why Declan and Celia get along with each other is because they share a similarity. Both of them are greedy for wealth and power. They would stop at nothing to reach their high and impossible ambitions. Declan looked like he had won a jackpot as he stared at Raven. In his head, he is already imagining drink
Lorcan and Raven rode a car to reach the pack borders much faster. Deafening silence filled the whole car, as Lorcan and Raven didn’t say a word to each other even though they share the same goal and they are helping each other to look for their son and rescue him before anything bad could happen to him. Lorcan’s heart is filled with guilt as he blames himself for everything. Meanwhile, Raven couldn’t forget Lorcan’s words during the conversation he had with Luna Savina. Lorcan’s face is cold and indifferent as he steps out of the car when they finally arrive at the very edge of the forest. Lorcan clenched his fists, his body tense with determination. He is going to protect his son at all costs. He will never be able to forgive himself if something bad happens to his son. Rescuing his son and making sure that he is safe is the only good thing he could do for his family. He would never let down Raven ever again. Lorcan and Raven shifted to their wolves along with the others who w
Lorcan’s heart sank as the truth unraveled before him. As his son spoke everything he knew with tears and a scared look in his eyes, Lorcan felt stupid for failing to see through Celia’s fake appearances and see through her deception and lies. A whirlwind of emotions swept through Lorcan’s being, and slowly a storm raged within him as he grappled with the truth that shattered the foundation of trust he had built with Celia. Lorcan couldn’t speak. Even though he was also a victim of Celia’s schemes, he still couldn’t help but feel that he was partly responsible for failing to recognize Celia’s deceptive lies. Lorcan should have known that there was nothing good about Celia when he found out how she pretended to be sick and sucked the blood out of Raven for revenge. He should have left her then and there. If Celia could play such a magnanimous lie, then it means she is someone who can’t be trusted. Luna Savina held her head weakly after Selwyn finished his story. She looked so pale
Raven pressed her lips together when she heard Lorcan’s confession. Her hand involuntarily reached to her aching chest as tears welled out of her eyes. She had no idea… She had no idea that Lorcan has been feeling this way towards her. All her life, she thought Lorcan never felt any genuine feelings towards her. She thought he was only forced to love her and be with her because of the mate bond. Now that she heard the truth, she realized how blind she has been to fail to see his unspoken feelings. She realized how stupid she has been to believe other people’s lies other than the genuine feelings and actions that Lorcan had shown her. Luna Savina scoffed mockingly when she heard Lorcan’s reply. “Are you saying that you realized you love her because of the mate bond?” Luna Savina questioned him. Luna Savina knows that Raven had already heard the truth she needed to hear. There was no more need for Luna Savina to keep up the act and probe her son even further. Still, she decided to ge
Lorcan sauntered into Elder Luna Savina’s room with a worried expression on his face. Different thoughts entered his head as he thought of many reasons as to why his mother would call for her. “Mother, you called for me,” Lorcan spoke respectfully to her mother who was lying on her bed when he entered.Luna Savina smiled when she saw her son walk in. Lorcan smiled back when he saw the positive expression on her face. Luna Savina never like it when someone interrupts her sleep and visits her room. She gets angry instantly whenever someone enters her room, but this time it’s completely different. It was she who invited him to come visit her. Her face even brightened when she saw her son enter.Lorcan rushed to her mother’s side to help her when she tried to force herself up. He placed a guiding hand behind her back to lift her up. “Is everything alright?” Lorcan asked her in a soft whisper.Lorcan’s eyes discreetly searched around, hoping to see Raven. The omega told her that Raven w
Raven haven’t said a word ever since she jumped in and stopped Kissa from confessing everything. A heavy weight rested upon her heart, but she tried her best to ignore it. Raven felt selfish and inconsiderate for still wanting the truth to come out at the expense of harming Luna Savina’s health. It’s natural for her to desire justice, and to have it as soon as possible after she had waited for five years, but if she wants justice, she should have it without causing harm to anyone else. Since Luna Savina is not in good health, she should think of something else. Although it would have been better and more convenient if only Luna Savina was in good health. Raven sat carefully on the bed beside Luna Savina while Kissa handed her a plate of freshly sliced fruits ensuring that it didn’t contain any poison. Luna Savina doesn’t have any appetite. She still feels full from the bowl of porridge that she emptied early this morning. Still, Raven insisted that she eat something and in the end
“Luna Savina,” Raven barged into Luna Savina’s room with Kissa chasing after her. After Raven heard all the secrets that Celia had, and all the evil tricks that she had played, she rushed directly to Luna Savina’s room since she was the person that is in the most danger right now. “Raven,” Luna Savina smiled at her. “You came right in time.”Raven ignored her words. She rushed towards her and knelt right in front of her. “Luna, are you okay? Do you feel hurt anywhere?” Raven asked her with brows creased together. She touched her forehead to check her temperature and placed two fingers on Luna Savina’s wrist to check her overall health. “What’s wrong, Raven?” Luna Savina asked her softly with how she was fussing over her. She couldn’t help but feel worried about her instead because of how concerned she was with her. Raven didn’t reply. She listened closely to Luna Savina’s pulse and checked her vitality. “I’m not going to recover after just one meal, Raven. You will need to take
Celia paused as she think of a way to keep Lorcan from being alone with the twins. She glanced up at Lorcan as she prepared for a reason that she was going to say. The twins stared at Celia already expecting that she was going to say something against that. They crossed their fingers as they hoped that their father wouldn’t play along with her tricks.“There’s actually something that I need help with. It’s about work, can you do it for me?” Celia leaned towards Lorcan as she asked him kindly, hoping that he would agree to help her.The twins glanced at their father simultaneously waiting for his answer. Lorcan slowly lifted his head back up to face Celia. “I canceled all my work today, Celia. I already scheduled the whole day for my sons. Can’t this wait tomorrow?” Lorcan asks her back, turning her down respectfully. Celia fell speechless. Lorcan never turns down work. Even when he is busy, he always prioritizes the Pack and their work. His sons must be so important to him that he
