Neighbors
And of course, Asher Rocambeau was willing to rent his house in Barbados to his good friend.
Within a day, Aziel arranged the lease and all other logistics and accompanied Loraine to the beautiful bungalow along the beach. He had stayed there for another two weeks to help her acclimate.
It was a wonderful two weeks for Loraine.
Hand in hand, they shopped at the nearby grocery store, bought some extra furniture for her convenience, and did some sightseeing around the island. Slowly Loraine began to know her surroundings. The two could often be found on the beach, where they also met their neighbors. They were kindly introduced to the couples who live on both sides and share the beach with them.
Rick and Michelle, who are Loraine's age and have been married for nearly three years, are especially interested in their new neighbor. A deep friendship develops and the couple is very protective of Loraine. This makes Aziel very reassured.
Committed or NotLoraineI drove Aziel to the airport and we are now saying goodbye. After today I am on my own, Aziel remains in my life but at a distance. He now removes his luggage from the trunk and puts it upright so that he can roll in with it.“Aziel, don't forget me when you get back,” I urge him as I cling to his body. I've been worried for days about what it'll be like when he's gone. He wraps his arms around me in a tight embrace. “Not a chance. I'll be back before you know it. You know I can never live without you for long.” We give each other one last deep kiss, he grabs his bags and walks away without looking back to the check-in counter. These two weeks with Aziel were wonderful. He distracted me from the confrontation with Elena, made sure that I didn't have time to look on social media to see what has been published from that moment. I know nothing good will be reported about me, Elena will take care of that. I drive home quietly, enjoying th
A Perfect Gentleman Saint Lucia is the bomb! Although the beach hardly differs from that of Barbados, the group that uses it is less diverse. We meet people from all kinds of countries that we had never heard of. The Surinamese are the most festive of all, they go wild with every style of music, seem to master all dance moves. Their accent also makes us laugh more often, but that doesn't stop them from mingling with us. In the late afternoon, we visit the twin volcanoes. Michelle and I decide to take a Sulphur bath that, according to local guides, should make us look at least twenty years younger. Rick bursts out laughing, teasing Michelle that he's not a pedophile, and when she comes out of the tub as a four-year-old, he’ll dump her in an orphanage on the island. When we are in the Sulphur waterfall, I show Aziel in a video call how much fun we are having. He l
He’s BackDale takes me on a joyride through the empty streets of Barbados. The cool ocean wind flows through my hair. I actually like this island life, there is no stress here and I easily make friends here. Saint Lucia is again another good experience after Barbados. “Hmmmm, Loraine, tell me. Are you in love? You seem like a bon vivant who doesn't care about anything”, the Adonis next to me asks with a smile on his face. I relax and look at him from the side. He still looks straight ahead at the road, waiting for my answer.“No, I just painfully got out of a great relationship and am healing from my heartache,” I respond. “I do have a partner who helps me with that”. Dale nods and accelerates a little more. “How long have you been in Barbados, are you here to stay? Your accent betrays that you are also a New Yorker and your demeanor that you arrived here not too long ago.”His questions make me a little tense.I don't want to flaunt my past, but it seems like every
Please Move OnWith the arrival of Aziel, a balance has arisen in our circle of friends. We extended our stay in Saint Lucia for another two days and I have to say that I have never had so much fun before. Aziel made me see a different side of him, he is so much fun and personable. And although I keep seeing ladies flirting with him when I'm at a distance, he always made it clear to everyone that I belong with him. His hand is constantly stroking my back or intertwined with mine. I know he longs for me and now that I've already lost my virginity, he won't settle for superficial sex anymore. But I'm not ready yet to be intimate with another man in that way after Dordrich.Today we returned from Saint Lucia and I must say that I am dead tired of all the wild things we did there. I've had the time of my life and now I'm back to basics. Aziel will return to New York this evening as well. He too looks tired after all that nighttime life. But I want to discuss some busines
Go Nowhere! After I wave goodbye to Aziel at the airport, I return home. All the way I think about his words. So Dordrich wants to meet me again. But doesn't he realize that our relationship is only going to get more complicated now that Elena finds out? She's going to keep stalking us and having tantrums. We are constantly going to be negative in the news and that will have an impact on our companies at some point.Elena knows what she's doing, and I can't blame her. She also thinks about her two children and doesn't want to risk Dordrich leaving one day. Dordrich and I have been guided by our strong love and hot desire for each other, forgetting everything and everyone who depended on us. Now that I am outside the relationship and far from my familiar surroundings, I can look back on our relationship soberly. What I want to prevent is that everyone thinks that I ran out of options and that is why I have reached for Aziel. People in my immediate circle know that Aziel
Don't You WorryAziel is angry, but I can tell from his voice that he is so worried. I know him too well, he can't hide his emotions from me. “Aziel, I won't meet him if you don't want me to. I'm discussing this with you because we have an appointment. And I keep that promise”, I reassure him. “I didn't speak to him, just read some text messages”.I hear him breathe a sigh of relief. He was really afraid, I think. I promise myself not to turn on the phone again, Dordrich is really a thing of the past and I don't want to disrupt my relationship with Aziel. Over the next few days, I will do my best to reassure him by calling him more often and telling him about my daily activities. Aziel is a friend in a million, when I needed him the most, he was there for me. And now he's running my business too so I don't have to incur huge losses. And he's right, continuing with Dordrich will be my final blow. The rest of the evening I spend watch
AbusedFrom that day on, Andre and I are inseparable. Fortunately, the acquaintance with Aziel went well, just as I thought he found it quite amusing that we had fun with the gossips in this way. Aziel teased that he can now do his job in New York with peace of mind because he was already worried that I would end up in the arms of a handsome guy again. You can find me in the yacht club almost every day.Andre found me a job, I need to advise him on new attractions he can offer to bring more guests to the yacht club. Current offerings should also be expanded in such a way as to increase the company's revenue. Not that the yacht club is in financial trouble, but Andre wants to stay ahead of any competition. When he asked me about my background, I froze. I just let him know that I was the manager of a big software company and doing some ambitious projects. That's actually not a lie, just half information, I console myself. The regulars of the yacht club are alre
Not MeAndreI can't imagine Dale going that low.Coming to my yacht club with his new partner is quite insensitive and characterless. I suspect he wants to take revenge after I ended our relationship some months ago, abruptly and refused all his calls after that. We had quite some trust issues, he made me feel so insecure with his behavior. It seemed like he housed two personalities in one body. When we were alone, he was the perfect partner. Romantic and physical, always made me feel good in his company. I remember how we experimented in the kitchen and later forced each other to eat our failed recipes. The many nighttime walks in which we entrusted each other's secrets, shared hidden desires and had such a good time together. Our vacations in the jungle of Suriname, his homeland, swimming in the dark water of the waterfalls, the breathtaking boat trips and wild dance evenings in the different Maroon villages. Dale did everything to keep our relationshi
Finally!Mrs. Loraine Aziel Renegade. Nice to meet you all out there.Aziel has just sworn his undying love for me in front of a hundred-strong crowd here in the Protestant congregation. Before the God we serve, he promised to always be there for me in good and bad times, share all my sorrows and joys, and never again hide his struggles from me.Yes, we've had a rough time.We both went through a deep hell, but God had mercy on us, we are resurrected and have overcome. And today we start a new episode in life. I’m Mrs. Renegade, the title I aspired to, dreamed of for a long time. And today it has all become a reality. I am the lawful wife of that wonderful, gorgeous man I saw standing by the pulpit waiting for me, who pulled me tenderly by the hand beside him. I love him, have told him so many times. There's only one secret left to share with him, and I'll do it tonight. We are now walking into our reception, Kaylah has organize
When we are inside the room, we indeed see Aziel lying on the bed. It's like he hasn't bathed or shaved in days. He lies there snoring like a sailor.Damian grabs him by the shoulders. “Aziel, Oooh My God! No, man, no!” he exclaims. He gently shakes Aziel until he opens one eye. He looks at Damian blankly and closes his eyes again. “Aziel, we're here, you can't sleep any longer, wake up!” Damian insists. And another eye opens. A hand goes up slowly. “Damian? Aren't you a dream?” he asks hoarsely.I quickly get a glass of water and give it to Damian. He puts it against Aziel's lips. “Drink something, it will make your throat feel less coarse”, he encourages the obviously absent-minded Aziel. There's a sip and another. I go to the other side of the bed and help Aziel sit up straight. “What have you done to yourself? Why didn't you come to me like you always do, Aziel? Running away from problems doesn't solve t
Fellogan's Rolls Royce now comes into view. Little can be recognized of the expensive car, it is a total wreck. Obviously, he flew into the guardrail lost control of the wheel. The paramedics are quick to respond, as is the fire brigade. Because emergency workers are running to the spot, there is little to see of the accident for a few seconds on tv. Until the journalist on-site announces that they have managed to get Fellogan out of the vehicle and he is still alive.“Yes, the assholes in this world have seven lives,” Archer curses. We see Fellogan being transported to the helicopter on a stretcher. His face is bloodied, his head is supported with a clamp. It's clear he's in a lot of pain, but he's holding his ground. We drive on. "Let's hope this doesn't become another obstacle in our friends' relationship," Damian sighs. “Those setbacks always follow each other. What the two need is peace, in their relationship, in their life.”
“Man, this is bad. How did we lose sight of them? This was inevitable, Aziel simply succumbed”, Damian sighs. “We should have been alert when they arrived. Ever since the funeral, we should have forced him into therapy.”We look at each other with guilt.“These two clearly belong together. And that Fellogan also pulled some tricks, which certainly didn't work well on their relationship. Why do I feel like that idiot did it all on purpose?” Archer grinned. “I never liked him. A cheater can never have high morale.”We're going at high speed, the speed cameras have already caught us a few times. But that's for later concern. Virginia is our target and we want to get there as soon as possible. “Archer, turn on the television. I want to see what the media has made of Loraine's case," I ask him. He zips some channels until we do see breaking news. The reporter tries to get the medical staff to talk an
What follows is total chaos.Somehow the press learned that Loraine would be transported by ambulance and amassed outside the house within minutes. Fortunately, her garage is covered, allowing the ambulance to be ushered in and cut off from the outside world. This way we can protect her privacy as much as possible.Meanwhile, Damian and Kenjal have arrived.Kaylah and I ride in the ambulance with Loraine while the others follow with their own transport. The paparazzi follow behind us, it's a madhouse. “Kaylah, would we rather not have transported her per helicopter services? This is crazy!” I ask distraught. The paramedics gave Loraine first aid and placed her under anesthesia. She's pretty weak, she's been on the bed for days, the nurse said. I hit myself on the forehead, why didn't I act sooner? I never thought Aziel would leave, I thought he had the situation firmly in hand. Not so.“We'll handle this, don’t worry.
Andre's POVBoth Loraine and Aziel are out of reach.Their phones are off, they haven't been seen in the workplace for days. Lorrich also asks about his parents, I can't give him an appropriate answer why they haven't called him these days. This is a bizarre situation. In any case, they would have told me if they were leaving the country, even if it was on a business trip. Nor have this couple ever neglected Lorrich, even now that he lives with me. Since we arrived in New York, the two have been struggling with serious relationship issues, and Loraine got her memory back. Attempts by me to mediate failed hopelessly, Aziel could not vent his heart towards me. And as it turns out, not with Loraine either. This won't end well, I can feel it coming at my toes.I have avoided alarming our other friends about what’s happening these days. I know how emotional Kaylah reacts to everything Loraine regards, Rick and Kenjal are Aziel's buddies. No
I have been very restless all day.Yes, I am sexually frustrated, Aziel has been sleeping next to me for days without touching me. But that's not my biggest problem.Aziel is not only physically inaccessible to me but also mentally. He shuts me out completely, when I want to lean against his chest as usual, he turns away from me, when I reach out my hand to touch him, he keeps himself out of my reach.Mentally I'm broken too. What is certain is that we cannot continue like this, we have to solve tense between us ourselves. We can't live without each other, breaking up is not the answer to our problems.Dordrich is to blame, I swear!Very finely, he set up the plan to separate Aziel and me. It already started right at my return at the airport by completely ignoring Aziel. He clearly had a hand in the screenplay set up there. And the news items where I'm in his company are broadcast longer and more often from an angle where we seem to b
Aziel's POVI meant what I said that night. The debacle of my children, the rape, the kidnapping of Loraine and everything that happened after that could have been prevented if I had been more alert. It's all my fault, period! And that Fellogan keeps peddling it in the press, he’s on a mission. I hardly dared to look Loraine in the eye for the past few weeks at home. She noticed the change in me, I see that she suffers a lot. Late at night I even hear her crying next to me in bed. After my confession, everything in the house has changed.Even Lorrich sensed it, he was having a hard time dealing with the changed atmosphere. Andre has come a few times to persuade me to discuss what is troubling me. But I'm not ready to talk about it yet, I have to come to terms with myself first.I feel Loraine's pain, but there's nothing I can do to ease it now. She's mentally too far away from me. We hardly communicate, just sitting at th
The memories return in full force when Loraine enters the house with Lorrich on her arm. She quickly falls on the couch and holds her head. The last days leading up to her amnesia, the stress of Aziel's lawsuit, distraught watching Aziel suffer from the attacks from the media, everything resurfaces. Also, the day she was lured from the hospital by the head nurse and Danner who was waiting for her in the parking lot. “Mommy, what is it?” Lorrich asks concerned when he sees her pained face. She looks at her son, she knows he is too young to understand the evil ways of adults. Aziel, who has just entered, sees Loraine's gray face. "Angel, are you feeling well? You look terrible" he asks concerned. She beckons him to sit next to her and buries her head in his chest. “Everything is back. I have my memory back, my head is pounding", she whispers.A stabbing headache begins to set in, she massages her temples in the hope that it will pass. Quickly, A
