Chapter Fifty Two

Frederick hesitated for a moment before opening the door, his worst fears confirmed as Samara stood there, her eyes wide with shock as they landed on Caroline, standing in the middle of their living room with a luggage at her feet.

"Samara…" Frederick began, his voice barely a whisper.

Samara’s gaze shifted between the two of them, confusion and betrayal clouding her features. "What is she doing here?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Caroline folded her arms across her chest, her chin lifting defiantly. "I’m moving in."

Frederick shot Caroline a glare, his hands clenching into fists at his sides. "That hasn't been decided," he said firmly, turning back to Samara. "Samara, please, let me explain."

"Explain what?" Samara demanded, her voice breaking. "That the woman you slept with and got pregnant is moving into our home?"
