CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE: Marius' Resolve

Vincent’s denial is both infuriating and hollow. Then he smugs, and before I know it, my fist flies to his face. The impact sends him stumbling. He retaliates, landing a blow to my jaw.

Reporters’ cameras flash incessantly. Police officers rush towards us, their hands grab and pull us back, separating and restraining us from each other.
