Chapter 2

Valerie's POV

It had been a week since Tyler found me and Jordan. And I couldn't help but feel awful, for getting caught with a naked someone on my bedroom, it's just so embarrassing for me…..I doubt it was embarrassing for my accomplice though, he always hated his best friend, cause he was richer and good-looking than him, cause all the girls wanted Tyler, but nobody wanted him. Me? I hated that guy Tyler for a lot of different reasons.

Anyways, I would never cheat, but I felt like the best way to get him off my head was to cheat on him…to be honest, a part of me felt bad when I saw tears rolling down his cheeks…but a huge part of me was happy to see him heartbroken, even though I didn't cheat on him.

But he thinks I did cheat on him, and I want it to be that way, that'll make sure he keeps his distance from me, and we'll just get married because of the promise, and then it's going to….

The ringing of my cellphone interrupted my thoughts. I quickly checked to see who was calling. I furrowed my brows as it was Jordan, I never gave him permission to call me. What? He thought we were dating now?

"Hi beautiful," Jordan playfully said, over the phone.

"What do you want?" I seriously replied over the phone.

"You're mean princess."

"Get to it."

"Sure….any luck with Romeo?" He mockingly asked, breaking into laughter, after saying that name.

We loved making fun of Tyler cause Tyler acted like a lovesick kid sometimes.

"I think he's really mad this time….but he'll be back, I always make him come back to me," I said bitterly. Then I and Jordan started laughing.

"Yeah I know, hurry up and make him calm down! Have you heard?" Jordan said, his tone sounded a bit stressed, "He just fired me."

"What?" My heart skipped a beat, I wondered if he fired me too.

"Don't worry he didn't fire you….." I was relieved to hear that….phew, for a moment there, I thought Tyler fired me. I had better visit Tyler if I wanted to keep my job.

"Valerie….are you there!?" Jordan asked….oops, I had forgotten I was on the phone with Jordan.

"I'll call you right back!" I immediately disconnected the line.

I took a deep breath and stood up. Realizing I needed to pay Tyler a visit, before he decides to fire me.

I went through a lot of troubles, just so I can mind control Tyler's grandmother so she can make Tyler take an oath that he'll to marry me. I can't let my only chance of getting revenge on the Logans slip like this.

I quickly got myself in the shower.

It was going to be difficult to make him forgive me, cause he caught me cheating, I think he was really In love with me, and after he saw Jordan naked in my room, I could see the hate in his eyes.

I got dressed in his favorite shot red dress. I was ready to go to my fiance's office. I knew i was going to have to beg if I wanted him to forgive me this time but it was okay.

I've been alive for two thousand years now, and I've never begged anyone for anything but with him I always do it, and he's going to pay for making me beg…trust me I'll make him pay.

As I was coming down the stairs I heard a knock at the door.

My heart skipped a beat at the thought of Tyler knocking at my door. It was what I wanted, I quickly ran to the door, but before I opened the door, I put on a remorseful saddened face, hoping it was Tyler on the door.

I opened the door to see who it was, and I was quite stunned to see the person who was standing on my front porch.

"What's up, little sis?" Anna, my older sister greeted me. She had this annoying grin on her face.

'You've got to be fucking kidding me! Are my eyes lying to me? What does she want? I hope she doesn't ruin my plans.' Those were my thoughts, they were interrupted by my sister's smug voice. "What, you are not going to let me in?" My sister asked, with a smug smile.

"Well, you're not carrying baggage, I don't think you're here to stay and cause trouble for me." I nodded my head and moved out of the way, my sister walked in with a smirk on her face.

"Mom and dad sent you here to see what I've been up to?" I asked her, closing the door behind me. I was disappointed it was not Tyler who had knocked.

My sister turned and looked at me,

"Is everything alright? You look sad."

She had a concerned look on her face.

My phone chimed, and I quickly checked it.

Finally, Tyler had replied, I quickly unlocked my phone to read the text, my heart was pounding faster than usual this was what I had been waiting for, I was hoping it's good news. I was disappointed when I saw a, 'it's over!' on my phone screen.

"Well, what do you expect?" I said, subconsciously sitting down on the Sofa, with gritty teeth. I was so mad.

I softly chuckled, gazing at my sister, "He just broke up with me over the phone! Over the freaking phone Anna!" I aggressively threw a pillow on the floor.

Anna rolled her eyes in irritation and chuckled, "I see you finally decided to settle, well great choice, I've heard he is a nice guy?" Her tone was so mocking.

But it was true Tyler was a nice guy, too nice of a guy sometimes. Too bad he'll have to pay for his dad's sins. I almost feelt sorry for him, when ever I think about it.

I'm just kidding, I don't care about him.

"So….when are you going to get married to Tyler sis?" Anna's mocking tone Interrupted my thoughts.

"Who told you about Tyler?" I asked with a puzzled look.

I had never told Anna about any of this. This was the first time we've met in like a thousand and a half years.

"Mom has been watching over your Tyler long before you decided to fall in love with him." A hint of sarcasm in her tone as always.

"Let me guess, mom has no other weapons to face the council….so she made up a story about a chosen one, to give the people of VamRan hope?" I asked, sarcastically.

"Mhm." My sister nodded in agreement.

I glared at my sister and said: "Well, I want you to tell the queen…..that she should stay away from me and everything that's connected to me," I threateningly said.

My sister just smirked, and took out some documents, and handed them to me, "And what are these?" I asked with a puzzled look.

"Mom received those a few days ago." Anna replied.

"The council demands that you stay away from Tyler and his family, cause both are under their protection they say, and if you don't comply they'll have to…..." My sister paused and looked at me, "You know what they do, they might not be able to touch you, but they'll surely hurt those close to you."

I lifted my head and stared at my sister, with a smile, "Well good thing I don't have anyone close to me….the only person who was close to me Is dead…. killed by the Logan's." I threw the documents at my sister.

"It was self defense….we can't charge someone of murder when he was protecting himself." Anna said.

She took a deep breath and continued:

"You need to help your people, we need your help….. at least if you can't help, stay out of the way." Anna angrily said.

"And how exactly am I standing on your way?" I was a bit perplexed with her question, I have been doing my thing.

"The chosen one is our only hope…and we're pretty sure, your fiancee is the one." Anna replied in a dejected voice, she continued,"The council have come to know about that…and they want him to be on their side."

I smugly smiled at my sister and snapped my fingers, teleporting my sister outside using my vampire ability.

I was happy to see my sister in such a state. Looked like karma was real, my mom, the queen and my sister, Anna, they all abandoned me when I needed them the most.

They didn't give a fuck when Harold died. Even though Harold was her son, mom supported Billy Logan my brothers killer, instead of me. And now they needed me, and I was not planning on helping them.

Not like I could anyways, I don't think Tyler is some type of chosen one. He is just a guy destined to die by the hands of the woman he loves the most, and thats me.

Seeing my sister almost made me forgot my fiance broke up with me. I grabbed my car keys and left the house.

I just hoped Tyler was at the office and not at home, cause Tyler's mom never liked me, not even a little. And his older sister Mila?….well she was Jordan's girlfriend but she dumped him, I'm sure Tyler already told her about me and Jordan, so she hates me.

And if I go to the Villa they won't even open the gates to let me in, they'll probably tell the security to make me leave or they'll invite me inside and attack me.

After driving for 15 minutes, I arrived at Logan Industries, one of the companies under the Logan empire, and I walked inside.

Anne the office clerk was the first to greet me: "Good Afternoon Ms. Valerie?"

"Is Tyler in his office?"

"No, he's been in a meeting since morning....but...I think it shouldn't be long now before the meeting is over," Anne replied.

I walked to his office and yep he was not in his office. I took a seat on the sofa to wait for him and at that same moment, a woman timidly walked in. I thought it was the intern, but she looked too stylish to be the intern, so she swiftly closed the door behind her.

"Ahem."

I cleared my throat to get her attention. She looked startled by the way she turned her head to look at me.

"Oh hey…..am I in the wrong office, is this Mr. Tyler's office?" She had a french accent and a familiar tattoo on her arm. I believe i had the same tattoo on me, when I was a council member.

"Umm…you're in the right office, are you his friend?" I stood up and walked to the girl with a serious expression.
