Chapter 1175

With a sharp thud, Jamie slammed the car door shut and drove away from Lorian’s villa.

After Jamie left, the servants in the villa sprang into action. Some were preparing the tea for Lorian's hangover, while others were cleaning up and trying to make him as comfortable as possible. They carefully removed his thin wool coat to help him feel less burdened.

Margaret was wiping Lorian’s neck, scolding him as she did so. She lamented that he was a mess without his wife and reminisced about how good a wife Tegan was, who was thoughtful and caring.

Was Margaret referring to Tegan? Lorian lay back on the sofa and felt the room sway around him, especially the chandelier overhead. His head was spinning.

Meanwhile, Margaret continued to chatter away. Lorian was irritated and just wanted to go upstairs to lie down in the bed he once shared with Tegan. Although her scent was long gone, there were still memories of her in that bed.
