That morning, sunlight broke through the gap in Olin's curtains. The girl squirmed quietly on the bed, still half sleepy. But her mind immediately recalled last night's conversation with her father.

Her father, Michael Andreas, spoke in a soft yet firm tone. "Olin, your Mommy only wants what's best for you. Sometimes her ways may seem harsh, but that's because she cares. You also have to learn to listen more, not just react."

Those words rang in her mind, making her feelings of guilt even stronger. Olin let out a long sigh, then got up from the bed. She looked at her reflection in the mirror.

“Alright, today I have to fix it,” she muttered as she put on her school uniform.

After tidying up, she left her room and went straight to the kitchen. There, her mother Helena was busy preparing breakfast. The woman's face looked calm, albeit a little tired.

Olin paused for a moment at the doorway, feeling nervous. But she gathered her courage, walked slowly, and hugged her mother from behind.

"Sign this document," Arslan said matter-of-factly. He entered the magnificent two-story house he'd worked so hard to build."What's the file, darling?" asked Helena in amazement. She was holding a tray of dinner she had prepared for her husband."Our divorce papers."The tray fell over. It made a disturbing noise and scattered a lot of broken glass. But none of this bothered Helena. The only thing that kept her from looking away was Arslan, who gave her a disgusted look."You are careless," Arslan scolded when he saw how much was scattered. "Rina!" he called to one of the servants in the house. Hurriedly, the woman named Rina came to them. Arslan's orders were things that had to be done immediately. If they didn't, they would face his wrath and a long lecture."Could you be more careful?" he reproached Helena. "Do you think what you have in your hands was bought for nothing?" Arslan glared disapprovingly. He gave Helena a look of annoyance, irritation and disgust. As if... Helena was

"Did you hear what Arslan wanted, Helena?"Helena turned her head to the source of the voice. Mirna's voice had been friendly and welcoming, but now? It was harsh, unfriendly, and gave the impression that Helena was someone who needed to be removed from this house immediately."But what Arslan wants is a divorce, mother," Helena said, still trying to speak politely. She had been taught since childhood to always speak politely and to respect the people around her. Even though Mirna's attitude made Helena more and more angry and disrespectful, she tried to bear it."So?" Mirna approached Helena immediately. "Why didn't you grant my son's wish?"Helena blinked in disbelief. She thought there was still some normal thinking left in her mother-in-law's head. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Instead, Helena got the impression that she was the one in the corner. It was clear from the look in Mirna's and Yori's eyes that they wanted Helena to leave the house immediately."Did you hear wha

A white sports car pulled into the yard of the two-story house where his girlfriend lived. A bespectacled man with a gentle, warm gaze got out of the car and walked confidently. He had hung his white suit neatly in the back seat. Don't wrinkle it, he doesn't like it. But his steps were stopped when he heard a commotion from inside the house."What's going on?" he asked with a deep frown. "Should... I go in now?"Suddenly he heard the sound of a heavy blow. The man had to shake his head in amazement and curiosity. And as soon as he stood in the doorway, he found an ominous scene. A woman had been struck hard on the cheek. Had he not remembered his purpose for coming to this house, he would have quickly gone to help the woman. To him, a man should never hit a woman. He was truly angry at a man who could do that to a woman."Ah... you've finally arrived, my love!"The scream made Michael realize where he was. He couldn't help but smile at the beautiful woman who came to him. He returned

Arslan was furious about Helena's disgusting behaviour today. What's so difficult about granting a divorce that he asked for so nicely? The reason he gave was also quite reasonable. If Helena feels hurt, she should be aware of her role in this house. Compared to this woman next to him, Helena meant nothing."Why did you stop Helena, dear?" asked Tiara with an annoyed look. She deliberately stopped Arslan from approaching Helena. Even though her wishes and goals were soon achieved, she could not let go easily if Arslan was still thinking about Helena."I need to talk to her for a moment, darling."Tiara frowned. Arslan gave Tiara's flushed cheek a gentle pat. And the intimate kiss that Arslan shamelessly gave, even in front of her family. That made Tiara blush. "You embarrass me, darling.""It's only for a moment and it may be the last time I see Helena. Don't worry." Arslan smiled slightly."What exactly are you going to do, Arslan?" asked Mirna in an unhappy voice. "Let the woman go.

"Should I say welcome back?" the person sitting next to Helena asked. The car that had picked them up continued to drive towards a point; Helena's residence, located on the outskirts of the city. It was cozy, peaceful and not too disturbed by the nauseating noise of the city.Helena cast a quick glance at the woman who worked under her control. The beautiful woman whose face was often featured in business magazines and important interviews about the Edison family business."I have a lot to tell you, but... is this the right time?""What do you have to ask?" asked Helena as she straightened her seat. "You're just my saber-rattler, Wilna."The woman, Wilna Djaya, laughed. She had to wipe the suddenly wet corners of her eyes. "I'm actually quite worried about what's happening to you right now. But I've warned you many times that your husband, whom you always defend, is not a good man."Helena was silent."And now this is the real face of your husband, isn't it?""Ex," Helena corrected im

Accompanied by a cup of chamomile tea, Helena decided to enjoy the afternoon on the balcony of her room. Nothing had changed since her last visit."What else does Miss need?" A servant shifted her position slightly, just to make sure her master was getting the best service possible. Working at the Edison family residence was a stroke of luck for the servant. Apart from the fact that the salary she received was more than enough, the Edison family was not a family that did not value others. In fact, they were very concerned about the welfare of the workers in the house.Especially the owner of this large house, Miss Helena, whose return had surprised many of the servants here."Nothing," Helena said at once. "Has my father ever been here?" Helena glanced at the nearby servant. "I just saw you.""Mr. Hanry came to visit two weeks ago, and I'm Gina. I've only been working here for six months, ma'am. I was told by Mrs. Berta that Miss Helena was back and I should be ready to serve."Helena

"Have you been crying all day?" asked Wilna with a desperate look on her face, but she still helped Helena to sit more comfortably. "I'll call the doctor, okay?""Later," Helena interrupted, holding on to Wilna a little tighter. "Where am I?""Your room." Wilna let out a long sigh. "Will you stop worrying me, Helena?"Helena, who could not quite shake the dizziness in her head, could only smile bitterly."You suddenly fainted. I immediately contacted Dr. Adi and he did a thorough examination. Fortunately, Dr. Adi is always available to the Edison family."Helena just nodded resignedly."You didn't answer my question, Helena.""You've been lecturing me all day. You know, my body is still weak from fainting, but I have to put up with all your useless chatter."Wilna had always been able to restrain herself and her patience when it came to Helena's stubbornness, but not this time. Wilna was completely distraught by Helena's collapse. Her eyes were puffy, her breathing was labored, and it

"Is my father coming by today?" Helena asked, leaning back to comfort herself. The car that took her to her destination was already moving at a steady pace. As Dr. Adi had requested, Helena needed to check her condition so that it would be easier to track her health and progress. It had been three days since she fainted and found out there was a new life growing inside her. During that time, Helena thought things through and started to plan.Did she think to tell her ex-husband? Absolutely not. Why should Arslan be the first to know about her pregnancy? Helena was pretty sure he was already tied up with his new girlfriend. All that had happened on the day of her expulsion was enough to make Helena realize that that idea was a bad one."Nothing," Wilna replied, a little hesitantly. She was also a little surprised to hear Helena's question on the phone. "I'll check with Mr. Hanry's secretary first.”"What's up?" said Wilna.“I’d like to stop by and see you.” Helena looked down at the st

“I'm home,” Olin said as he confirmed the people around her. Apart from the fact that he was a little late, Olin didn't want to face her mother directly yet. Somehow she felt that, whatever happened at school, her mother already knew about it.He had to be prepared in case she lectured him.“Looks like Mommy's not home yet,” she said with a sigh of relief. She had checked some of the rooms where her mother often stayed, especially the reading room. And she didn't find her mother there. This meant... for the time being Olin was safe.Unfortunately...“What are you looking for?”Her mother came out from the other room, looking at her only daughter in surprise.“Nothing.” Olin grinned widely. “Good afternoon, my dear mother.” She immediately rushed to hug her mother. But Helena just clucked and yelled at her. “It hurts, Mom! Ugh! What did I do wrong?”“Wait for me over there,” Helena pointed to the lounge not far from their current position.“Mom,” Olin said in a pleading voice. She knew

“Gosh, why is that guy so annoying? Why not just tell me his name? What's so hard?” grumbled Olin as he headed to his classroom. He had to pull himself together quickly. there were still at least a few class hours before recess rang.Olin entered the classroom with a leisurely pace, his hands still busy adjusting the strap of his bag that was a little loose. His gaze swept the entire room, making sure the atmosphere was back to normal. There were no more teachers interrogating him or suspicious stares like in the teacher's lounge earlier.“What a long time!” Jihan immediately approached Olin with a cheerful smile. “Where have you been? The second lesson bell is about to ring, you know!”Olin smiled slightly. “To the health room. My hand needs more attention.”Jihan looked at Olin's hand, which had been neatly wrapped with a fresh bandage. “Are you okay?”“As you can see, I'm still alive,” Olin said casually as he sat on his stool. He took out a notebook from his bag and looked at Jiha

After leaving the teacher's room, Olin let out a long sigh. He knew that the problem was not completely solved. But for now, he felt quite relieved. There was still some time before the first lesson ended, and his hand was starting to feel a little sore from the bandage that had started to come loose.“I forgot to change it this morning,” Olin muttered as he looked down at his hand. With a leisurely pace, he decided to head towards the medical room. The school hallway was quite quiet, with only the occasional sound of teachers teaching from the classroom. But when Olin passed the student council room, his steps stopped. The door of the room was open, and the voices of several people having a discussion could be heard clearly.“This year's spring festival needs to be more festive than last year's,” a woman's stern voice echoed from inside the room.“We need more sponsors,” said a man. “The funds available now are only enough for basic decorations. If we want a bigger stage, it's imposs

“I will meet that young man later. I need to get my business done this time,” Olin said with a low grumble. There was no other choice but to step towards the teacher's office. He glanced at the smartwatch in his hand. Not a single message had come in yet, indicating that the person he relied on could solve all his problems today.Olin stepped into the teacher's room with a calm face, barely even showing the slightest worry. In his heart, he had already guessed what would happen. The three girls must have reached the teacher's room first and reported what happened. And this time, they didn't just play with words like before, but brought their parents to urge the school.“I wonder what they said as a form of complaint, huh?” asked Olin with a giggle. He couldn't imagine how the three of them would look when they complained. Either to their parents or to their teacher this morning. At the door, Olin paused, took a deep breath, and smiled a little. “Relax, Olin. It's just a small problem.

“What on earth are you doing, Olin?” asked Helena with a half frustrated sigh. She massaged her temples in disbelief at what Olin had done. When her only child came home, his uniform was dirty. His hands had plaster on them in several places. Not to mention his hair was sticking up in a mess.“Nothing,” Olin replied with a wide grin. “Let's just say I fell down.”“How can that be?” snapped Helena, who was trying her best to be patient with the 15-year-old girl. Olin was a gentle child who disliked excessive activity outside. Let alone playing in the mud, even getting her uniform a little dirty, Olin didn't like it. But... I don't know what made the girl change. Was the puberty of today's teenagers very different from what Helena had experienced? The woman really couldn't understand why times were moving so fast. She could not keep up except to try to understand and assist Olin as best she could.“Mommy doesn't need to be angry.” Olin chuckled. “If Grandma Vera says, Mommy will get pre

Olin let out a rough sigh. His knuckles hurt and looked red. There were scratches on his palms but he did not care. His sharp eyes gazed at his three opponents who were down and moaning in pain.“Damn, I should have been more gentle,” he grumbled. She slightly twisted her wrist which was in a bit of pain. What was making her feel this much pain? Oh... the blow he gave the red-haired girl felt too tight.Today should have gone on as usual. There was no need to dirty his hands and make a slight injury. What would she give as an excuse to her mother and father later? Not to mention his aunt who was very fussy but eager to support him-if she knew what was happening, Olin was one hundred percent sure that tomorrow... would be a very horrendous day at school.“I wish you hadn't messed with me,” muttered Olin as he took one more look at the faces he had battered. “You're wasting my time.” He sat down on one of the piles of unused items around the back of the warehouse.Olin reached under her

The faint morning sun shone through the gap in the bars, illuminating the small room where Tiara Jacob sat. Her face looked calm, but her eyes held a lot of burden. Today, she was going to meet Luna, the aunt she had come to rely on since her life changed completely. If not for Luna Jacob's compassion, who knows what would have happened to Andy. Just thinking about it made Tiara uneasy. She no longer wants anything to do with her ex-husband; Arslan Tan. After what he did and how selfish Arslan was towards Tiara and Andy. They divorced when Andy was one year old. Tiara took care of everything from prison, although initially Arslan didn't accept it but Tiara didn't care. He was patient enough and gave a lot of leeway to their relationship.Tiara didn't even bother to contact Tan's family to ask for help looking after Andy. The latest news Tiara heard was that they were heavily in debt and struggling to support themselves. So how could they support Andy properly? And Tiara's biggest cons

“How did you meet the Edison family at Andy's school? Don't they have references to schools that are much better than Bright Star Academy?” Luna massaged her temples tiredly.Andy had been in his room for some time. Luna felt guilty for being late picking up the boy. But what the heck, she had to take care of the cake shop she managed.“But they don't recognize me,” Luna muttered immediately. “That's much better for us.”“Grandma,” called Andy carrying his school bag. “Help me with my homework.”“Come here.” Luna patted the seat at her side. “I'll come with you to do your homework.”That evening, Luna sat in the living room watching Andy busy with his homework. The boy, though only seven years old, looked so serious. Luna couldn't stop being grateful for Andy's good growth, though there were many worries she kept in her heart. One of them was Andy's encounter with a little girl at the school event this afternoon.Luna knew who the Edison family was. Their name had caused a stir with t
