“Is this enough?” asked Michael, handing her the cut apple he had just finished peeling.

Helena only nodded briefly. She stared at the slice without interest. But since this morning, no food had entered her body. Helena felt weak and also upset. Not because of the pregnancy, oh... really. She had been looking forward to the news of this pregnancy. She even repeatedly made sure her eyes didn't look at the results wrong because what happened in the past was enough to scare her.

“Eat well.” Michael gently stroked Helena's hair. “I'll keep you company.”

“You're not working?”

Michael shook his head immediately. “There are some things that can be done here. Nothing too urgent, and the rest can be done by my secretary. You don't need to worry.”

It had been three days since Helena had been lying in her hospital room, surrounded by the typical hospital smells that made her even more uncomfortable. Michael, who was always faithfully accompanying her, looked worried. Although the doctor had conf

“What are you doing, darling?” asked Michael as he handed Helena a cup of her favorite latte. They were in the lounge room that had been transformed into a private library, where Helena often spent time just sitting and enjoying her coffee and books.Michael saw Helena looking thoughtfully at a photo album that she had made as a memento. Starting from the first month of pregnancy, whatever the moment, Michael always captured it. He said that memories can disappear, but they can be recalled when you look at the photos of when they were created.“I look so pale here, don't I?” said Helena, pointing to a portrait of herself wearing a pastel-colored brocade dress. She smiled slightly as she rubbed her flat stomach. Her eyes looked puffy and her face was not as cheerful as usual. Helena remembered that she had just been discharged from the hospital for the umpteenth time.Helena had severe nausea, her whole body was weak and helpless. She thought it would be easy to get through the first t

“How did you meet the Edison family at Andy's school? Don't they have references to schools that are much better than Bright Star Academy?” Luna massaged her temples tiredly.Andy had been in his room for some time. Luna felt guilty for being late picking up the boy. But what the heck, she had to take care of the cake shop she managed.“But they don't recognize me,” Luna muttered immediately. “That's much better for us.”“Grandma,” called Andy carrying his school bag. “Help me with my homework.”“Come here.” Luna patted the seat at her side. “I'll come with you to do your homework.”That evening, Luna sat in the living room watching Andy busy with his homework. The boy, though only seven years old, looked so serious. Luna couldn't stop being grateful for Andy's good growth, though there were many worries she kept in her heart. One of them was Andy's encounter with a little girl at the school event this afternoon.Luna knew who the Edison family was. Their name had caused a stir with t

Olin let out a rough sigh. His knuckles hurt and looked red. There were scratches on his palms but he did not care. His sharp eyes gazed at his three opponents who were down and moaning in pain.“Damn, I should have been more gentle,” he grumbled. She slightly twisted her wrist which was in a bit of pain. What was making her feel this much pain? Oh... the blow he gave the red-haired girl felt too tight.Today should have gone on as usual. There was no need to dirty his hands and make a slight injury. What would she give as an excuse to her mother and father later? Not to mention his aunt who was very fussy but eager to support him-if she knew what was happening, Olin was one hundred percent sure that tomorrow... would be a very horrendous day at school.“I wish you hadn't messed with me,” muttered Olin as he took one more look at the faces he had battered. “You're wasting my time.” He sat down on one of the piles of unused items around the back of the warehouse.Olin reached under her

“What on earth are you doing, Olin?” asked Helena with a half frustrated sigh. She massaged her temples in disbelief at what Olin had done. When her only child came home, his uniform was dirty. His hands had plaster on them in several places. Not to mention his hair was sticking up in a mess.“Nothing,” Olin replied with a wide grin. “Let's just say I fell down.”“How can that be?” snapped Helena, who was trying her best to be patient with the 15-year-old girl. Olin was a gentle child who disliked excessive activity outside. Let alone playing in the mud, even getting her uniform a little dirty, Olin didn't like it. But... I don't know what made the girl change. Was the puberty of today's teenagers very different from what Helena had experienced? The woman really couldn't understand why times were moving so fast. She could not keep up except to try to understand and assist Olin as best she could.“Mommy doesn't need to be angry.” Olin chuckled. “If Grandma Vera says, Mommy will get pre

“I will meet that young man later. I need to get my business done this time,” Olin said with a low grumble. There was no other choice but to step towards the teacher's office. He glanced at the smartwatch in his hand. Not a single message had come in yet, indicating that the person he relied on could solve all his problems today.Olin stepped into the teacher's room with a calm face, barely even showing the slightest worry. In his heart, he had already guessed what would happen. The three girls must have reached the teacher's room first and reported what happened. And this time, they didn't just play with words like before, but brought their parents to urge the school.“I wonder what they said as a form of complaint, huh?” asked Olin with a giggle. He couldn't imagine how the three of them would look when they complained. Either to their parents or to their teacher this morning. At the door, Olin paused, took a deep breath, and smiled a little. “Relax, Olin. It's just a small problem.

After leaving the teacher's room, Olin let out a long sigh. He knew that the problem was not completely solved. But for now, he felt quite relieved. There was still some time before the first lesson ended, and his hand was starting to feel a little sore from the bandage that had started to come loose.“I forgot to change it this morning,” Olin muttered as he looked down at his hand. With a leisurely pace, he decided to head towards the medical room. The school hallway was quite quiet, with only the occasional sound of teachers teaching from the classroom. But when Olin passed the student council room, his steps stopped. The door of the room was open, and the voices of several people having a discussion could be heard clearly.“This year's spring festival needs to be more festive than last year's,” a woman's stern voice echoed from inside the room.“We need more sponsors,” said a man. “The funds available now are only enough for basic decorations. If we want a bigger stage, it's imposs

“She remembers that I like strawberries?” King said with an uncontrollable laugh. ‘It's amazing that she can remember such trivial things." All King wanted was to quickly enjoy the pudding that he had been carrying. It was not allowed to be far from his position, whether in the middle of a meeting, chatting casually with a client, or when he was with Lilo this afternoon.Since he couldn't pause the meeting, he asked the online courier to pick it up at the Infinity Tower. What Lisa said could be done by her subordinates. Gadis' cooking had bewitched her subordinates. So it would be impossible for them to refuse anything Gadis brought. But ... King does like the food that Gadis makes. Since his prestige is as high as the sky, maybe if it can be measured, it's at the seventh point of the sky. As well as their relationship, which never got along, made King very reluctant to say or at least admit that what Gadis made always appealed to his taste.Ki

[Kingkong: Thanks, pudding. I like it.]Gadis swiped at the message that had just entered her cellphone. Once again, she focused her concentration on the stacked files. Gadis felt like throwing up but she held it back. It wasn't just her who was struggling with the many piles, but almost all the staff in the division under Kingkong were busy. Very busy indeed.“Even though I was hoping for a bit of a break today,” complained Gadis, but her eyes remained fixed on the sheet of report and the laptop full of data. ”My goodness, when will this torture end?”“Are you muttering, Dis?” asked Tania with a laugh. "This is what it's like at the end of the month. Everything is backbreaking work. But after getting paid, it's not this hectic either.”Gadis just glanced over with a smile. "Is that a phenomenon at GreenTech?”“That's how it is,” Tania replied casually. It wasn't just Gadis who was chasing

“How was your meeting with Angga?” asked Lily, raising an eyebrow. Teasing Gadis, who had met her boyfriend, was the latest fad for the girl who loved white. Especially since Gadis and Angga had to do long-distance dating since returning from Solo. If Gadis said so, that was the risk of being with a prospective doctor. They were at a ramen shop in Bintaro Plaza. Rather than spending the weekend sulking, when Lily invited her out for a moment to the mall area closest to their dorm, Gadis just agreed. Besides, she had nothing to do this afternoon. Considering that her mood was ruined this morning, she was also curious about the afternoon but didn't want to leave the room, so while Gadis' mood was improving a bit, it would be better if she relieved her fatigue a little.“That's how it is,” said Gadis as she took a big bite of her ice cream spoon. Luckily for them, even though it was the weekend, the mall wasn't that crowded. Only a handful of peopl

Angga stared at the food box that Gadis handed him. The twinkle in the eyes of the girl he had been dating for two years was really happy. She hoped Angga might give a little compliment or words that would make Gadis feel good. But to be honest, Angga didn't like it. At all.Let alone like it, he's not even interested in tasting it. It's not a matter of the side dish and what is presented in this neatly and beautifully arranged box. But ... he's like a kindergartner!“I've told you this before, haven't I?” Angga closed the food box that Gadis had given him. He sighed deeply as he stared at Gadis with a look of dislike. “I'm not a kindergarten kid you serve food like this to.”“But it's cute, you know.” The girl opened the returned box again. "Even though it looks like a kindergarten kid, it tastes good. You try it first, Dear," said Gadis as she took one of the slices of meat that she had stir-fried with bulgogi soy sauce. It tasted very tempting to the girl but ...“You eat it yourse

All Gadis could do was take out her earphones and put them on. She played her favorite song and enjoyed the journey to an area where almost all of Jakarta's residents gathered. She enjoyed the weekend with sports and culinary hunting in the available places.Until finally, they arrived at the Grand Indonesia parking lot. They chose to park behind the mall building, which stands strong, hiding the splendor that is one of Jakarta's images: the Grand Indonesia Mall.“We're going straight there, Doctor Angga,” said Amel with burning enthusiasm. ”See you again.”“Be careful. Let me know if anything happens.” Angga smiled slightly, letting the two noisy women leave him. At the hospital, both Amel and Rara were known as cheerful women. There was always something to talk about that made the atmosphere at the hospital even more lively, especially on night shifts. If they were just on duty without any conversation, they could be tempted by things that happened beyond reason.Gadis didn't care a

Anyway, today Gadis is happy. She usually greets the weekend by sleeping in and lazing around even though she eventually cleans up, but this week she deliberately got up early. She has been busy since she opened her eyes and glanced at the wall of her rent house. She has also told her parents that her return this week has been delayed.“I want to meet Angga. While he's at a seminar in Jakarta,” said Gadis cheerfully. It was a Friday evening when Gadis was waiting for the bus. At the very least, her parents had to get some news about her not being able to go home this week.“Oh, that's good. Why wasn't he just invited home? While he's in Jakarta?” At the other end, Gadis's mother was also excited. The girl pouted but luckily their conversation was over the phone so her mother didn't need to see the look on the girl's face that she didn't really like her mother's response. Her mother should have understood Gadis also wanted to spend time with Angga. Longing is hard, to quote the words o

“Wow, if this goes on I could get fat,” said Gadis, chuckling. On her desk were several bengbeng, chocolate-layered biscuits, or other snacks as part of the payment for the Shoes bet. Even though Gadis had not guessed the color that King would wear this morning. The man didn't do anything. Most of the time, King always went to Mr. Ubud's room, not knowing what they were talking about. Maybe it had something to do with his 1 billion project. Gadis doesn't cared even though she was driving all night last night, occasionally listening to King argue and express his opinion. What King said about the meeting was true. And most of the time King communicated in English, which the man spoke so fluently. It didn't seem like he needed to think long to find the right word. King was indeed good at negotiating.“Exciting, huh?” asked Tania, which surprised the girl. But then she laughed.“Yes, you know. Exciting.”“Every

Sleeping in an emotional state is not good. The heart is not too calm and sleep is not restful. Gadis felt it all until she woke up early in the morning. Her look was still wrinkled, her face was frowning and actually there was no desire in her heart to work. But ...“I'm not a child. If I take a sudden leave today, Kingkong will definitely win. Besides, why is his damn attitude getting worse every day? He just uses his authority as a boss at will.” She also pulled back the covers. The clock on the wall of her room showed only 4 a.m., but Gadis was used to getting up that early.First, she made her own lunch and packed a lunch. During her college years, she never forgot to bring lunch from home. Besides, she wouldn't waste the opportunity if, when making certain snacks, there were always college friends who ordered. It was not a bad idea to have extra snacks or money that could be saved to ease her college expenses.Secondly, she liked buy sna

“A billion?” Mario repeated with wide eyes in disbelief. ‘Using ZoomMeet?’ He folded his arms across his chest. ‘Can you not make so many excuses if you really want to be with Pasaraya? It's okay with me too." Mario chuckled. ”Sooner or later, I'll find out who you're really dating.”It felt like King didn't just want to swear, but to hit Mario on the head with the placemat in front of him. Unfortunately, if he did that, his mother could go on a rampage like a lion.“Whatever.” King shrugged. ”You can believe it or not, it's up to you.”Mario still showed a wide grin. “Look, Mr. King, you're the one who doesn't want to lose.” He moved his dining chair closer to King's. Dinner was over, but Priska wouldn't let them leave. Because of what?As soon as King left his chair, he would definitely go into the room. And Priska couldn't interrogate and listen to what Mario had to say. She could also find out what really happened. Priska couldn't miss out on news like this, especially regarding t
