“Do you like it?”

Helena could only stare at the sample ring that Vena pointed to. The twinkle on Vena's face was truly happy. She couldn't resist whatever Vena did to her this afternoon. Including dragging Helena into one of the most famous jewelry outlets.

“Isn't this too much?” asked Helena as she gazed once again at the ring Vena had chosen. A diamond with an exquisite luster was set in the center. It was crafted from number one quality white gold with such precision that whoever wore it, was mesmerized. Just like Helena who couldn't take her eyes off the luster of the ring she was still trying on.

“Nothing is too much if you use it, Helena.” Vena rubbed Helena's shoulder lightly. “Would you like another model?”

Helena let out a long sigh. Today was definitely going to be a long day to spend with Vena. Helena hadn't forgotten the conversation that had taken place at Vena's house shortly after the woman had asked her assistant to contact some of her acquaintances.

“It must be really hard for you to keep up with Mommy,” Michael asked as he gently rubbed Helena's temple. They were on their way back to Helena's house after having lunch together. You can imagine how Vena dominated the conversation during the meal - especially when it came to Helena and Michael's wedding preparations.“It's not inconvenient, it's just a bit much,” Helena complained with a deep sigh. “You can hear what she's saying, can't you?”Michael laughed. “Forgive my mother for being so over the top. She's just too happy that we're finally getting married, darling.”“I know.” Helena leaned back comfortably in her passenger seat, while Michael was still giving her gentle strokes that made her feel calm. “That's why I didn't protest the many things your mother recommended. Except for the wedding dress. I wanted to customize it to my taste.”Michael smiled widely. “Whatever you want, just do it. I don't mind.”“Even if I bankrupt you just because of the wedding preparations?”Mich

“Are you sure you're coming home tonight?” asked Helena with a sad face. Tonight's banquet was a warm and friendly affair. And many things were discussed together to reach an agreement about the preparations for her marriage to Michael.Andreas' family had left 30 minutes ago, but Helena didn't realize that Wilna was also preparing to go home. Helena thought that her best friend and assistant had chosen to stay overnight and that they would have an exciting conversation about the wedding preparations.“I have to go back,” Wilna said with a big grin. “Lily just got back from New York. I don't want to miss out on all the fun she'll have when she has her event there.”“You're right.” Helena nodded in understanding. “I'm sure she has plenty of stories.”“If you need me to help you with the wedding preparations, I'm always ready to help.”Helena smiled broadly. “I know I can count on you.” She gave Wilna a warm hug. “Let me know when you get home.”“Okay.” Wilna returned the hug immediatel

“Did you have lunch with Michael?” asked Wilna, carrying some of the files Helena had corrected.“Yes.” Helena smiled broadly. “What about you?”Wilna shrugged. “I don't intend to leave the office this afternoon. I don't know, I feel so lazy.”Helena laughed. “What are you lazy about? Aren't you the one who gets excited more often because of lunch?”Wilna spluttered. “Thomas said he was coming to the office. He brought lunch.”“Ugh!” Helena smiled widely. “Do you have something to hide?”“Nothing,” Wilna replied immediately. “Aren't you used to seeing us eat lunch together anyway?”“Thomas bringing you lunch is the difference,” Helena said, snapping her fingers. “But I'm happy with how your relationship is progressing.”“I don't have any relationship with Thomas,” Wilna evaded.“I'll wait for your confession,” Helena said as she grabbed her small bag. She had made sure she had her cell phone and a few other essentials. “I'll leave first. If there's anything you want, let me know immed

“Have you made up?” asked Wilna half-jokingly. This Sunday morning Wilna was already at Helena's main mansion. Ever since Helena decided to marry Michael, the woman had returned to her main house. Apart from making the wedding preparations easier, Helena also wanted to be near her father. Keeping the middle-aged man company, making up for the time wasted taking care of things including Nakia.Helena only gave an annoyed glance. “I don't really want to be angry or ignore him.”“But?”Helena scowled. “Why should I have a best friend like you? I can't hide anything from you.”Wilna laughed with satisfaction. “So... why are you like that?”“I don't know.” Helena shrugged. “I don't like that woman. I feel like I've been transported to the day I knew Tiara.” She looked down sadly. “Temptations from third parties always come at unexpected times. Learning from that painful experience really sucks.”Wilna took a sip of her hot tea as she looked at Helena sitting in front of her with a troubled

“Wilna! Are you still in the room for long? What time is it already?”Aunt Merry's shout made Wilna, who was still struggling with her make-up and hair to make it less messy, speed up her preparations. “Yes! I'll be ready in a minute!”“You've been waiting for Thomas.”Wilna's movement in combing her hair stopped. As soon as she realized Aunt Merry's words. She accelerated her activities to get ready before leaving for the office. Wilna rushed out of her room with her hair half done, wearing a casual blouse and trousers. But her steps stopped at the dining room door when she saw Thomas sitting at the table, sipping coffee while reading the newspaper.“Mr. Thomas?!” she exclaimed, her eyes rounding. “What are you doing here so early?” It was an unusual sight for Wilna to see. How the man, who was already well-groomed in a navy suit, sat comfortably among his family. It was nothing compared to the reception of her family, especially Aunt Merry. The middle-aged woman looked so happy with

The wedding day had arrived.“Are you nervous?” asked Wilna who had just helped Helena put on the glittering belt that adorned the wedding dress Helena was wearing this afternoon. Although it looked simple, the details of the dress were not as simple as it looked.“You're asking me that?” snorted Helena with a look of distaste. “I can't wait to see when you'll feel the same way about me.”Wilna shook her head lightly. “It will take a long time. Mr. Thomas has a lot of work to do anyway.” She shrugged as if she didn't really care about her relationship with Thomas.“Until when are you going to call your lover 'sir'?”Wilna grinned widely. “Let it be. He doesn't mind anyway.”“What's all the fuss about?” asked Vera who walked into the room where Helena and Wilna were preparing. Apart from making sure Helena's makeup looked perfect, Vera also didn't want to miss the time to give Helena support. Wilna was still thinking about what Thomas had said a moment ago. Why did Helena and Michael's wedding have to be broadcast throughout the city? Wasn't that too much? Even just because of this, Helena had scolded Thomas. But as Wilna knew, Thomas didn't really care. According to Wilna, the more she scolded Thomas, the more he acted out.The media covering her best friend's wedding were even placed in a special area so as not to disrupt the event. They had their own time to ask questions to the happy couple when the time came. That's why they waited patiently.“Are you tired?” asked Wilna who approached Helena. The woman sat on one of the chairs in the corner of the room. As if to get away from the crowd of guests who came. Even though this afternoon was not the peak day of their wedding party, Helena already looked tired. It was undeniable that this wedding event was so luxurious and attended by many important guests.“Yeah... even if I complain of being tired, I can't go back to the

Gadis felt like throwing up but she held it back. It wasn't just her who was struggling with the many piles, but almost all the staff in the division under Kingkong were busy. Very busy indeed.“Even though I was hoping for a bit of a break today,” complained Gadis, but her eyes remained fixed on the sheet of report and the laptop full of data. ”My goodness, when will this torture end?”“Are you muttering, Dis?” asked Tania with a laugh. "This is what it's like at the end of the month. Everything is backbreaking work. But after getting paid, it's not this hectic either.”Gadis just glanced over with a smile. "Is that a phenomenon at GreenTech?”“That's how it is,” Tania replied casually. It wasn't just Gadis who was chasing

“How was your meeting with Angga?” asked Lily, raising an eyebrow. Teasing Gadis, who had met her boyfriend, was the latest fad for the girl who loved white. Especially since Gadis and Angga had to do long-distance dating since returning from Solo. If Gadis said so, that was the risk of being with a prospective doctor. They were at a ramen shop in Bintaro Plaza. Rather than spending the weekend sulking, when Lily invited her out for a moment to the mall area closest to their dorm, Gadis just agreed. Besides, she had nothing to do this afternoon. Considering that her mood was ruined this morning, she was also curious about the afternoon but didn't want to leave the room, so while Gadis' mood was improving a bit, it would be better if she relieved her fatigue a little.“That's how it is,” said Gadis as she took a big bite of her ice cream spoon. Luckily for them, even though it was the weekend, the mall wasn't that crowded. Only a handful of peopl

Angga stared at the food box that Gadis handed him. The twinkle in the eyes of the girl he had been dating for two years was really happy. She hoped Angga might give a little compliment or words that would make Gadis feel good. But to be honest, Angga didn't like it. At all.Let alone like it, he's not even interested in tasting it. It's not a matter of the side dish and what is presented in this neatly and beautifully arranged box. But ... he's like a kindergartner!“I've told you this before, haven't I?” Angga closed the food box that Gadis had given him. He sighed deeply as he stared at Gadis with a look of dislike. “I'm not a kindergarten kid you serve food like this to.”“But it's cute, you know.” The girl opened the returned box again. "Even though it looks like a kindergarten kid, it tastes good. You try it first, Dear," said Gadis as she took one of the slices of meat that she had stir-fried with bulgogi soy sauce. It tasted very tempting to the girl but ...“You eat it yourse

All Gadis could do was take out her earphones and put them on. She played her favorite song and enjoyed the journey to an area where almost all of Jakarta's residents gathered. She enjoyed the weekend with sports and culinary hunting in the available places.Until finally, they arrived at the Grand Indonesia parking lot. They chose to park behind the mall building, which stands strong, hiding the splendor that is one of Jakarta's images: the Grand Indonesia Mall.“We're going straight there, Doctor Angga,” said Amel with burning enthusiasm. ”See you again.”“Be careful. Let me know if anything happens.” Angga smiled slightly, letting the two noisy women leave him. At the hospital, both Amel and Rara were known as cheerful women. There was always something to talk about that made the atmosphere at the hospital even more lively, especially on night shifts. If they were just on duty without any conversation, they could be tempted by things that happened beyond reason.Gadis didn't care a

Anyway, today Gadis is happy. She usually greets the weekend by sleeping in and lazing around even though she eventually cleans up, but this week she deliberately got up early. She has been busy since she opened her eyes and glanced at the wall of her rent house. She has also told her parents that her return this week has been delayed.“I want to meet Angga. While he's at a seminar in Jakarta,” said Gadis cheerfully. It was a Friday evening when Gadis was waiting for the bus. At the very least, her parents had to get some news about her not being able to go home this week.“Oh, that's good. Why wasn't he just invited home? While he's in Jakarta?” At the other end, Gadis's mother was also excited. The girl pouted but luckily their conversation was over the phone so her mother didn't need to see the look on the girl's face that she didn't really like her mother's response. Her mother should have understood Gadis also wanted to spend time with Angga. Longing is hard, to quote the words o

“Wow, if this goes on I could get fat,” said Gadis, chuckling. On her desk were several bengbeng, chocolate-layered biscuits, or other snacks as part of the payment for the Shoes bet. Even though Gadis had not guessed the color that King would wear this morning. The man didn't do anything. Most of the time, King always went to Mr. Ubud's room, not knowing what they were talking about. Maybe it had something to do with his 1 billion project. Gadis doesn't cared even though she was driving all night last night, occasionally listening to King argue and express his opinion. What King said about the meeting was true. And most of the time King communicated in English, which the man spoke so fluently. It didn't seem like he needed to think long to find the right word. King was indeed good at negotiating.“Exciting, huh?” asked Tania, which surprised the girl. But then she laughed.“Yes, you know. Exciting.”“Every

Sleeping in an emotional state is not good. The heart is not too calm and sleep is not restful. Gadis felt it all until she woke up early in the morning. Her look was still wrinkled, her face was frowning and actually there was no desire in her heart to work. But ...“I'm not a child. If I take a sudden leave today, Kingkong will definitely win. Besides, why is his damn attitude getting worse every day? He just uses his authority as a boss at will.” She also pulled back the covers. The clock on the wall of her room showed only 4 a.m., but Gadis was used to getting up that early.First, she made her own lunch and packed a lunch. During her college years, she never forgot to bring lunch from home. Besides, she wouldn't waste the opportunity if, when making certain snacks, there were always college friends who ordered.
