Chapter Forty One

Kai Griffin's POV

I barely slept since last night. All that comes to mind is Erin's well-being. I am restless. I have to see her and make sure she's fine. All the while, I am being flooded with letters from neighboring kingdoms—words travel fast.

Overnight, they have heard of what happened at Cadmus' wedding and they branded me as a monster capable of killing someone I hold dearly just to set this war in motion. After all, I did the same thing to get the throne. I killed my own blood.

All the letters expressed their fear and withdrew all allegiances formed with the Raewavell Kingdom. They all turned against us; this was Luna's plan all along.
