Chapter 13: Losing Control

“No… Ryan, don't… no…”

Alisa's sobs rang out and the bitter salty taste of her tears quickly flowed into my mouth, awakening the human inside me.

I quickly let go of Alisa and staggered back. I made her cry and scared.

But why is she afraid of me? She should have felt happy when she reunited with me. I have already forgiven that lie.

My head hurts a bit and I know I'm going crazy. I don't want Alisa to be more afraid of me. Not seeing her for a year was too much to bear. I quickly turned away, holding my hand tightly to the corner of the desk.

“Please go.” I try to speak in the gentlest voice possible.

“Ryan... you... what's wrong with you?”

A small hand reached out from behind and gently touched my shoulder.

What is this woman doing? Is she looking for a way to die? I'm about to not be able to control myself.

“Go out quickly.” I turned around and pushed her hand away.

She quickly buttoned her shirt and disappeared from my sight.

I just want to love Alisa and be loved by her in return
