“Dad, why didn’t you tell me, grandpa and grandma about Mom’s health?” My son asked me in an accusing tone as he snuck by his mother’s side. He was glaring at me cutely.

“Tell him, Tristan.” Claire teased me. I can solve any problem, tackle any challenge but this five years old kid made me speechless. How am I going to convince him?

“Hey, buddy. I am sorry, I didn’t tell you because your mother got injured as you can see and doctors gave her injections. She was crying in pain. Could you see her crying?” I asked him, it was the instant answer I could think.

He looked at his mother sadly and then shook his head negatively, his big eyes were moist. I walked to his side and held his shoulders.

“See, that’s why I didn’t tell you and your great grandparents. Look at your grandma, how she can’t stop crying.” I pointed my finger at Claire’s grandmother.
