— I Made a Deal with The Devil.Chapter 28: best of a gangster .Amir had tried to escape from his bedroom multiple times, but Nikolai was standing outside of the door, to prevent him from leaving. The organization’s doctor had advised Amir to rest for a few days, weeks even. According to the doctor, he needed to recover both physically and mentally due to his miscarriage.‘‘Amir! Your body needs to rest more. Please be patient, alright? You had a miscarriage for God’s sake! Stay in bed for one more week, okay?’’ It was what Nikolai kept telling him, almost every day while tucking Amir back to bed. Nikolai felt like he was taking care of a 5 year old pup at that moment...‘‘Y-yah, don’t be so loud! He might hear you!’’ Amir whined at his Alpha bodyguard, now sitting on his bed with crossed arms. Today was his 4th day resting in bed, and he hated it.And while he was resting, he had let Alexander take control of the organization during his absence. He was experienced, so Amir didn’t
I Made a Deal with The Devil.Chapter 29: betrayal stings .Alexander continued sleeping with Amir for the next few days. When Nikolai brought him food, Alexander even attempted to feed him, though the Omega whined and told him to stop.Amir was still resting, so they kept making out at night when they felt horny, their lips becoming almost swollen from the kissing. And finally, the day Amir had been waiting for had come. The doctor had examined him after 2 weeks and claimed that he was good to go. Amir didn't need to rest in bed anymore. Though, he was advised not to engage in any extreme activities and exhaust his body just yet.He could still try his first training with Alexander, however. Even Nikolai allowed it, which was a huge surprise."Is this your combat outfit?" Alexander teased the Omega as they had reached the organization's gyms.Amir was no longer looking pale or fragile like he did a few days ago. He looked healthier and attractive, even in the oversized gym shorts a
I Made a Deal with The Devil.Chapter 30: anything for you .Alexander wasn't the only one distressed about the betrayal. He wasn't aware but the night his gang members had proposed the betrayal plan to him, Amir had accidentally overheard everything. And now, Amir was devastated."Boss, if we get his drugs, we'll be filthy rich! They have no such drugs back in Magadan! Everyone will go crazy! And...we can just kill the Omega and his bodyguard off. No one will want to avenge his death anyway. He is just a pathetic Omega,"Their words echoed in Amir’s mind. And then, Alexander’s."I will do it. I will betray Amir,"He wasn’t sure how to deal with this. Should he confront Alexander about it? Should he just let the Alpha betray him? Or should he…punish Alexander and his gang for betrayal?Amir was distraught and wasn’t sure how to handle this. He couldn’t even tell Nikolai and kept everything to himself. He’d wait until the day of betrayal to see what the alpha would do.There was o
I Made A Deal with the Devil.Chapter 31: pretended to be cold and ruthless .‘‘Hey—where are you going?!’’ Alexander tried going after them, but Amir stopped him, grabbing him by the back of his suit. ‘‘Don’t you dare try to escape with them, you sick bastard! You’re staying with me whether you like it or not! F-from now on, you’ll be my servant—and you know what? You’ll no longer receive any income.’’‘‘Amir…please…’’ Alexander cried out and collapsed on the floor from his frustration, ‘‘Fucking hell, what else do you want me to do? Do you realize what I’ve just done? I killed one of my men for you—goddammit!’’Amir quickly looked away and wiped a few of his tears, ‘‘W-whatever, jerk. I’m not trusting you from now on—find your men and bring them to me so I can finish them off instead! I want my drugs back!’’Amir only pretended to be cold and ruthless towards Alexander, because he was afraid of getting hurt again. It hurt him to treat Alexander this coldly, but he didn’t know wha
I Made A Deal with the Devil.Chapter 32: all of it was just a lie..‘‘I’m calling those fuckers now, let’s see,’’ Alexander quickly brought out his phone and called one of his members. They answered pretty fast, hoping that their leader would return to them. And they were happy to hear Alexander’s decision.Even though all of it was just a lie.‘‘I’ve changed my mind. I’m going to give Amir to that bastard. Do you know his hideout? I want to meet him in person.’’ Alexander lied to his gang, hoping they would know something about the ring leader. And for Alexander’s luck, his ex-gang knew everything about the other leader. They knew his hideout and where he usually kept his victims. What they didn’t know, however, was that he was currently lying to them and that Amir…was also already kidnapped by the same leader.‘‘Um, alright. Thanks?’’ Alexander said and quickly hang up on them. He mentioned the address to Nikolai, and they were already on their way to the hideout, to rescue Amir.
I Made A Deal with the Devil.Chapter 33: official mates .‘‘I’ll be a good husband...promise.. I’ll be good…’’ It was what Alexander kept repeating as he was now towering over Amir, planting kisses everywhere. To his lips, cheek, nose, and now on his neck. ‘‘God, you don’t know how much I’ve missed you, babe—your scent is driving me insane-’’A growl escaped from his throat, as he had his face buried at Alexander’s neck, currently inhaling his sweet scent and starting to nibble on his skin, near his scent gland.Amir just giggled and let the Alpha do as he liked with his body. Amir had missed Alexander’s skillful mouth and his hungry kisses anyway.‘‘Alexander…want you…’’ Amir told him in a whiny voice, still with his arms wrapped around his shoulders, pulling the Alpha closer to him. ‘‘You want me?’’ Alexander chuckled softly and gave Amir one last kiss before he looked at him.‘‘Are you sure? Do you want to mate tonight? Maybe tomorrow—you should rest tonight—’’ He figured to lea
I Made A Deal with the Devil.Chapter 34: MULTIPLE YEARS LATER .Amir Roswell sits and sulks within The Estate, very much alive and very much annoyed. He watches sullen as the most powerful men in Osaka traipse past him one by one and disappear down dark corridors in darker suits that do little to hide the guns and other deadly weapons at their waists. Amir twists a small silver knife between his short fingers, watching the most dangerous of the city’s men follow each other to their meeting with The Boss. They don't look at him – or even acknowledge him. Sending him only quick little fearful gazes before disappearing around the corner. One or two of them Amir catches their dark eyes for a second and before they look away, he bares his sharp little teeth at them, grinning as they jerk forward and walk that bit quicker.Amir was sulking for three reasons. He hadn't been outside in weeks – apparently it was too dangerous as he had only just 'died' last month.Hence, he was bored. And
I Made A Deal with the Devil.Chapter 35: tables have turned .Across the table Alexander grins at Amir’s games and leans forwards eyes flashing."Baby boy," he says softly."Alpha," Amir replies to him, his breath ghosting Alexander’s lip. "Our meeting isn't finished," He suddenly warns, voice growling; the men tense around the table, hands moving to their waists. Amir drapes himself on the table a low moan in his chest, his cropped top exposing his golden skin; he sees how the men look but don't look at the same time, too scared to be caught by Alexander. "But baby is bored," he whines, "want to play," he teases Alexander, watching him across the long table. "Come to Alpha sugar," he commands.Amir smiles and kneels on the table, crawling along the table he knows his skirt has risen and his panties must be showing, but his eyes are on Alexander as he watches him crawl towards him, eyes dark and predatorial. Everyone else remains sitting stiff, eyeing them from beneath bowed h
I Made A Deal With The Devil .Chapter 58: greatest gift of all; you .He kissed the inside of Akio’s wrist. “Who gets to cherish you.” He kissed the other wrist. “Who gets to make you feel good in every possible way as I worship this beautiful, beautiful body of yours.”Akio unexpectedly felt a pinch in his throat. He hadn’t realized how much he’d wanted that reassurance; hadn’t even known there was a lingering insecurity hiding behind his heart. But Nikolai’s words made his heart glow and fill to the brim with adoration and thankfulness. Thankfulness that he was in love with a man who was so tender with him in word and deed, and who treasured him in a way that made Akio feel like he was floating among the clouds. And when he had ultimately removed his shirt that day, he’d seen nothing but desire in Nikolai’s eyes, and more importantly: pure love.As their intimacy continued growing over the passing weeks, if there was one thing that was true, it was that Akio had never felt more
I Made A Deal With The Devil .Chapter 57: love, oh so sweet .Akio’s throat dries as he continues admiring Nikolai. With every step Nikolai takes, his muscles shift or flex, and it’s making Akio forget his name. He wants to lick Nikolai’s entire upper body up like it’s a scoop of ice cream, and heat blooms in his cheeks at the wild thought. He tries to look away, but Nikolai’s movements make the tattoos covering his torso come to life, especially the large dragon tattoo that takes up his entire right pec and upper arm. The design almost seems to ripple, like a reflection in a pond.Akio’s eyes shift to the opposite pec, where the name ‘Akio’ is emblazoned on Nikolai’s skin, right over his heart. Akio feels a surge of pride and love at the sight, the way he always does. Subconsciously, he runs his fingertips over his right wrist bone, where he’s recently gotten the letter N tattooed. He likes to think of the tattoos as mirror images of each other, each a sign of Akio’s and Nikolai
I Made A Deal With The Devil .Chapter 56: maybe a few more .It takes a moment for Akio to organize his thoughts. For a moment, he’s wondering if he’s actually woken up in some kind of parallel universe, where Alexander’s men are nice to him and go out of their way to ask about his hobbies and interests.“Uhm,” he responds, ever so eloquently.“I’ve got this niece heading to college for it. She asked for a camera for Christmas. Parents don’t really have the money for something like that. I told her I’d take care of it. Don’t really know what I’m looking for, though. Figured you could maybe point me in the right direction.”Seeing an opportunity to redeem himself, Akio instantly brightens. He tells Sal he’ll be right back, then dashes away to grab his laptop from his room. When he returns, he holds up the laptop, navigates to a webpage, and shows Sal the latest camera models, going on and on and on about all the newest features and specifications and everything else he can think of.
I Made A Deal With The Devil .Chapter 55: at the boss's orders .Once Akio’s in the attic, it doesn’t take him very long to locate the specific boxes he wants. He’s labeled every Christmas-related container in the space, which shortens the amount of time he has to spend sifting through storage. He grabs the end of the first container, which houses an artificial tree, and starts dragging it toward the attic opening. Then he starts to descend the ladder, while pulling the container along with him. He’s not a third of the way down when he realizes this setup isn’t going to work. It would be easier if he simply had someone at the bottom of the ladder to carefully pass the container to, but since he’s alone, he has to bear all the weight himself, and the moment the bin completely slides off the edge of the attic opening above, all of its heaviness will shift against his chest and throw his center of gravity off. He’s not entirely sure how he’ll be able to stay upright when that happens.
I Made A Deal With The Devil .Chapter 54: adjusting to the pattern .Akio loves Christmas. It’s his favorite time of the year. It always has been.He loves the colorful lights strung up on houses and trees. He loves the festive and bright decor: poinsettias, holly, and wreaths adorned with pinecones and big, red bows; Christmas trees dressed up with candy canes, glistening ornaments, and shiny ribbons; fireplace mantels garnished with stockings, majestic garlands, and a plate of cookies for Santa, of course. He loves enjoying the many Christmas festivals, performances, parades, and light spectacles put on throughout Seoul, such as those at Everland and Lotte World, where it always feels as if Akio’s been transported to some kind of magical winter wonderland. He loves shopping for gifts for the ones he loves, he loves wrapping said gifts in cute, colorful wrapping paper, he loves eagerly watching as those very gifts are opened and enjoyed. And most of all, he loves the underlying sp
I Made A Deal With The Devil .Chapter 53: awaiting warm summers .Nikolai rests his gun heavy on the table between them not menacingly, but a message of his own all the same."And yet here I am taking it" he challenges, he didn't come here to ask. There's a moment where it looks like the two will fight, eyes flashing and pulses rising, until Amir jumps up from where he had been watching the whole scene, and drapes himself over Nikolai kissing his jaw and neck messily like a puppy."Oh Nikolai my Nikolai I will miss you so much!" He wails sobbing into his chest dramatically and flinging his body weight all around until even Nikolai almost dropped him at one point.Smiling at him softly Nikolai sighs for the first time since entering the room, "You're not getting rid of me," he teases, "I'll be around."Amir grumbles into his top complaining about everything through his pout.Over his shoulder Nikolai surveys Alexander who stares at him hard watching the whole time."You'll be back,
I Made A Deal With The Devil .Chapter 52: all coming to a stop .Nikolai shakes his head... he couldn't be distracted, not now, not when it was almost done.He had to finish the code 8... kill them... just like Alexander ordered. For him and Amir.Stop killing for them."Sorry brother."Ren looks like he wants to say more but stops himself at the last moment. They look at each other for a moment, the muffled click of a lock breaking open echoes between them with a sense of finality."We're in Nikolai."Together Nikolai and Ren burst into the safe house, arms raised first with loaded guns and fingers ready to pull the triggers at any second. REN’s boot kicks down the door and they rush inside... straight into the barrel of two more guns... held steadily and aimed at both of their faces by none other than Japheth and Madrigal. The two of them don't even seem surprised, in the moment that they see Nikolai storm into the safe house with his gun pointed and his eyes dark as the night, t
I Made A Deal With The Devil .Chapter 51: out .Nikolai feels more free than ever, and for a moment all he wants it to be in Akio’s arms, until he remembers... remembers how he left his house with Akio’s sobs filling the empty space and dripping from the walls. And suddenly he doesn't feel so warm.He turns to look at Ren and feels his body tense for what he knew was about to come."Brother," Ren looks over to him, dark face rippling beneath long shadows and amber light flickering from the flames.Nikolai takes a deep breath of icy air."What I'm about to do..." he trails off, god he didn't even know how to say how crazy the plan was they were about to do... he was practically asking Ren to commit suicide with him.Ren must have read his thought for he says softly, "I would go to the ends of the world with you Nikolai. Always," his eyes dark and alive with flames, almost as black as Nikolai’s , "So tell me the plan."He smiles despite the seriousness of the situation."How did you
I Made A Deal with The Devil .Chapter 50: not an end yet .Nikolai looks away pulse racing at the words that itch against his skin and weigh heavy in his chest, against his skin Akio’s hand feels warm and safe and perfect... and so scary.Too good for him."I wish that was true," he says, seeing how Akio’s gaze drops. He feels the words on his tongue to break his heart and he knows they are true."I chose this life," he knows it."Not only did I choose it. I've worked for it. I excelled at it. I'm powerful," the words burn and Akio’s hand drops from his face, lost in the space between them – worlds apart."I'm powerful" he says it out loud forcing himself to believe it.The little boy who grew up on the streets with nothing needed to believe it. Akio looks at him carefully. "Yes you are," he admits softly. "And yet you're lost" he says."Don't look at me with your fucking pity," Nikolai spits out, building his defences behind anger and pain, too scared to be vulnerable, knowing Ak
