The lady boss

Lara was completely awestruck and she looked at him in much surprise. Perhaps for the first time she noticed that the man was indeed extremely handsome. She noticed his chiseled jaw, his perfect jawline, his sharp features and long eyelashes almost touching his cheek, as he was constantly looking at his food avoiding the eye contact.

“And you are saying that you have never ever been this obsessed with anyone?” She yet could not believe that somebody could be so obsessed with her.

“That is correct.” He nodded his head and then finally lifted his gaze, looking in her blue eyes. He looked at her lips that had slight tomato sauce at the bottom and he quickly got up from his seat, heading towards her yet looking at her lips.

“I have never been so obsessed with anybody else! The man bent a little and before the girl knew he licked off the sauce from her lips savoring its taste with his own lips.” I never knew that ketch up could taste so amazing.

He smirked a little and then walked away while Lara planted her hands on her table, feeling a little offended. “Can you at least maintain your distance if you want me to stay here? You have some guts… always kissing me without my permission!!” She screamed at top of her lungs and she heard somebody approach them from the guest area.

There were two well suited men that were now walking towards the dining area and the girl instantly shut her mouth not wanting to create a scene in front of them. The two men were accompanied by Silas’s bodyguards and assistants. “Who are they!?”

The girl looked at Silas in much curiosity and Silas lifted his gaze, signaling the two men to halt coming towards them. He turned around ordering his assistant. “Let me just fill in some information about them to Miss Lara. After that they can come over here.”

“Eh… No, please continue! That is not what I meant!” The girl felt extremely embarrassed and pursed her lips while Silas smiled looking at her.

“It is my duty to fill you in with every question that you ask. These two men are ex- employees of our company. They cheated on us and gave away the information to the rival company about our products. They are here to beg for forgiveness.” He spoke in a polite tone and Lara looked at Silas in March surprise.

 “So, will you forgive them?” She asked being the curious cat, that she was.

“No, I do not want to. How about you decide that? They should come and talk to you.” Silas nodded his head and then signaled the assistants to bring the two men close to the dining table.

“Heck no! They are your employees. I do not want to interfere.” The girl nodded her head in disapproval but before she could say anything, Silas had already directed them towards her.

“Please explain the entire situation and she will decide what to do with you.”

There were around ten men who were now standing looking at Lara, while all of them bowed in reverence.

“Madam, we did not reveal any information. Since you already know that we manufacture high quality chips which are also used by government agencies used in several security programs and software’s. We are not responsible for leaking the code.” The man looked at Lara knowing that his entire life was now dependent on her.

“If you did not do it then who did it?” The girl frowned looking at him very carefully

“It was one of the junior employees who must have stolen the information from the main computer system.” The man felt a sigh of relief thinking that probably Lara was already taking his side.

“Hmm….and who handles the main computer system?” She questioned him back immediately.

“I handle it.” The second man bowed looking at the girl. “The information was stolen while I was on a leave. My mother was unwell and I had to go to the hospital.”

“Oh I see. What happened to your mother?” She spoke in much empathy.

“She had a major heart attack and needed an urgent biopsy. She is recovering well now. Thank you so much ma’am.” She smiled looking at Lara who was constantly looking at both of them.

“So you are saying that you are not culprit? It means that you both disagree that you have not stolen the information? Is it right?”

“Yes miss.” They both spoke in unison.

The girl turned to look at the second man. “So… despite the fact that the other man took your name, you did not take his name. It means that you are the culprit.”

“I am not the culprit. He is! Also, I have the proof to show you.” The man glared at the first man, taking out his cell phone.

“But I did not….” The first man gasped in shock and Lara instantly signaled him to stop speaking.

 The second man started to show several pictures of the first man, stealing the information from the computer.

“Hmm… may I know since you had these pictures all this while why did you not tell it to the company? You are equally responsible for the theft. You both are thieves and should be punished! Not just you lose your job but then at the same time you both will be handed over to authorities.” She rebuked them.

Silas smiled looking at the girl in much pride. “So, it is done. Inform the authorities and take them away.” Silas spoke calmly yet looking at Lara’s grim face.

Soon they all left and Lara turned to look at Silas. “I am sorry, if I was rude to them. I think they deserved it.”

“Yes they did deserve it. I like how you played with their psychology.” He nodded his head in approval.

Lara shrugged her shoulders not knowing what to say. “By the way, today is my first day at my job at Renault holdings. Are you not going to let me go there too?”

“Why don’t you work in my company? I can offer you the position of board of directors.” He suggested.
