Melanie wasn’t exactly doing nothing in the past month as well.

After she had slightly recovered, she was already continuing her work with Gabriel.

But when she opened her equipment pack where she stored her needles, she saw a small pouch in there.

While the pouch was small, the patterns on it were quite exquisite. The pattern was a picture of a flying phoenix, and it looked quite impressive.

“What’s this?” she asked.

“Isn’t this yours?” Gabriel said curiously.

Melanie picked up the pouch and found that there was something hard inside.

How could it be hers? She hadn’t touched the needles for at least half a month.

“Could it be the professor’s?” she asked.

Professor Turner was the one that had been conducting the therapy in her place during this time.

“No.” Gabriel shook his head. “When the professor first opened the bag and saw it, he also asked me when you put this thing here...”

Melanie blinked.

She opened the pouch and found a small jade ring the size of a thumb inside.
