Chapter 97

Gloria had one hand over her stomach and another hand clutching Michael's arm, a panicked look on her face.

"Alpha, I didn't slander her," she said weakly. "She really did bully me! Many people saw it!"

Michael lapsed into silence. He didn’t criticize me as Gloria had wished.

I raised an eyebrow as I kept my eyes on Gloria. "If by bullying you meant I stopped you from whipping Melissa to death, then I won't deny it."

Gloria paled as Alpha Michael turned to look at her, the fear in her eyes becoming more apparent as time passed.

"I was only punishing Melissa a little," Gloria whispered in her own defense.

After a long moment of silence, Alpha Michael finally spoke.

I expected him to speak up for either Melissa or Gloria, but...

"Return to your room. Andrea and I have to talk," he said indifferently, looking as calm as still waters.

Gloria pouted, obviously disappointed with Alpha Michael’s attitude. However, she let out a soft breath of relief when she walked out of the room.

I guessed
