When I came too I expected to see Lay right beside me, but she wasn’t. Instead I turned to see Ward sitting on a kitchen chair with his arms slung over his knees gingerly wiping at the dry blood against his hands with a cloth, clearly my dry blood, I thought as my brows furrowed.

“How long have I been out?” I mumbled as I slowly sat up to inspect my chest, it had completely healed which wasn’t surprising I suppose. I was a shifter and not just any kind but a lycan prince, but still, the wounds had been so severe I wasn’t quite sure if my body would mean?”
