The sunlight filtered into the night room as Claire's eyes flickered open. She was on a soft bed that was filled with the scent of her mate. He smelled of the rain and forest and she loved everything about it. She hugged the pillow tightly as she drew in the scent of her mate. She couldn't get enough. The smell was faint which indicated he hadn't used the bed in a while. She got up and stretched her limbs. Thankfully, she was still dressed in the clothes she had put on before coming. So nobody changed her out of it. Claire got up from her sleep-long position which was not a sleeping position. She massaged her aching neck and stretched her limbs to get the blood flowing back into it again. She had slept off while reading the book. She sneezed as she caught a chill. The night sky was dark outside which meant she slept off for some hours. She stood up and walked into the library, closing the balcony doors behind her. She didn't know how or when she had slept. She was normally a light sleeper. But she guessed she had expected nothing to happen to her and had become comfortable in this place.A splitting headache overcame her as she dropped the book to the floor which made a loud thud in the silent library.
