Chapter eighty

Claire lounged in the chair. It was comfy. Her eyes began to shut close. Susan stuck to her word. She hadn't offered her any food. It wasn't like she would have eaten. But just for the sake of courtesy.

She turned in her chair in boredom. She had nothing to do except to stare out of the window. The house which was given to them by Alexander was cozy and small for two People.

It was well furnished. The chairs had a green colour which was the same colour as the curtains. A fireplace was burning with coal on the right side. On the left, was a bookshelf which contained only two books

Intrigued, Claire went closer to the shelf to examine the books. They looked familiar to her. But she could not remember where she had seen it before.

Like a light bulb that went off in her head, Claire remembered where she had seen it. Alexander had a copy in his library. It was exactly the same. She had seen it in his office also.
