Shards of glass went flying in the air. Monk Aiwa was crouched in the ground trembling from the almost death experience, Monk Liya on the other hand was standing with her hand dripping of blood. It was the result of the impact she received from making the glass barrier to protect themselves from the fireball that was plunging towards them. The usual light atmosphere from Monk Liya was gone, she was surrounded by a dark atmosphere, and it was a scene one could behold. The most compassionate and calm monk was angry for the second time of her life.

“Oh? I did not expect you to survive that, Amon’s monks are more durable than I thought,” the man in the black cape tauntingly said. He was still floating above ground looking down on the monks.

Monk Liya gritted her teeth while clenching her hand so hard that it almost made her palm bleed. The man was emitting mana that is overwhelmingly powerful; she knew that if she fought her defeat wou

“Something is going on in the Lake of Masks, the Empousai’s are acting weird,” reported Huly to the Aces weekly meeting.“But aren’t they always weird?” voiced Gale in an idiotic way. Huly ignored him and continued to report the sightings mainly addressing to the captain.“The incidents of their attacks are increasing and deaths have been reported. This is beginning to alarm those in the nearby villages for they cannot pass by the Lake of Masks now without being caught up with the Empousais.” Narrated Huly, he concluded his report and closed the documents in his hands and finally felt relief when he went back to his seat.Everyone waited for the captain to speak, the silence beginning to feel more awkward. Nobody dared to break this silence, not even the comical Gale for everyone knows that the moment you break the captain’s concentration you will feel the wrath you’ll never want

“Oh my god, Lista are you okay?” Antonella hurried to me after canceling all her spells. The glass barrier was also brought down and I saw the professor coming towards us.“I’m alright Nellie,” I said accepting helping hand and stood up. I chuckled and assured her once again that I was okay.“That was a good fight,” Professor Joseph praised us. He casted me a glance and gave me a meaningful smile.“You are a wind mage am I correct?” he asked. I nodded in response.“Your origin if I may ask?”I thought twice before answering the professor’s question. My origin was never really confirmed since my childhood was a sensitive topic at the temple. Whenever I talk about what happened when I was a child it was apparent that the monks avoid the topic so I never really pushed it farther, according to Monk Amon, when time comes I will eventually find my memo

The first years were abuzz with excitement while waiting for the carriages we were about to ride to the dungeon. It was a fine sunny day, the rainbow irises were sparkling glimmered under the rays of the sun and the breeze was gently caressing the leaves of the wind making them dance in tranquility. It was a perfect day for a field trip. The colorful uniforms of every group made the atmosphere even livelier, there were also flaglets with every group’s logo.“Was there any problem with your uniforms?” Asked Nellie, checking if there was any defect in the uniforms made by her aunt.“It’s perfectly fit Nellie,” I praised.“Yes, the details are on point too, I don’t have the slightest complaint,” Mikael added. Luther on the other hand just nodded while straightening his curled up sleeves.“I’m glad to hear that,” Nellie beamed. But her lips protruded when she saw the care less Margoth in th

“Usually, monsters present in the beginner’s dungeon are goblins and faughs. According to the activity, it is highly plausible that the flags are in the goblins since they are much more intelligent than the faughs. If there aren’t any unexpected creatures we won’t have to worry about our defense. What we need to do is a fast finish time and strategy to catch the goblin without much damage placed into us. As I’ve told you in the carriage earlier, faughs can be really sensitive to smell, especially wizling smell. Those rats are troublesome when they’re in horde so we better avoid confronting them.” Mikael strategized. We are currently forming a mini circle while discussing our strategy for the activity. Mikael is really knowledgeable about these facts and I’m glad he is our leader. He further explained our formation to strengthen our defense against the monsters.“I believe we could easily on

The air in dungeon was getting heavier. The words of the woman with twin braids resonated around adding to the eerie atmosphere in the hallways. Nellie’s grip on Listarte tightened feeling the thumping of her heart go faster. Wasn’t this supposed to be a green zone, so why are they getting caught up in precarious situation? Nellie could definitely feel the perilous atmosphere being emitted around the woman who was standing in front of them.“Why are you all so silent? Make noises white mahò users! Let’s rejoice,” laughing evilly she grinned even more wide that she did earlier. What is this woman?“Tell us who you are,” Listarte bravely asked. She gripped Nellie’s hand hoping to give the latter a little comfort. Her other hand was clenched so tight to prevent herself from shaking.Listarte clearly remembers this woman; on any case she was sure they were not safe at all. She can o

*“Zephyr of the west guides, Gust shield!”*I defended once again to the upcoming spell from the enemy. With one knee down on the ground I convinced myself to continue fighting. Just a little more, help is coming.I glanced at my group and they were still down. Nellie was nearly done healing Mikael but her mana was also nearly drained. Margoth was awake now and was staring at me with unbelieving look on her eyes. She was staring at my hair, my hair as white as snow. I shook my head when I felt my vision blur, I was starting to see two Margoths. This is bad, I’m nearing my limit, to make the situation worst, I could no longer produce non-verbal spells and I could only defend.“You god descent, just go and die already!” Taraya shouted and fired another spell at me. That was what I thought, because I almost did not realize that she was firing towards my team again and not towards me.I gasp when I saw the exploding cob

“Who am I Monk Amon?”It seems like nothing could shock me anymore, everything was making my head hurt, looking at Johann I felt conflict in my heart for a reason I don’t even know. His perturbed face is making me think this is all something grave. Maybe the discovery of my hair was something I should be wary of. Is that why the monks are so adamant in hiding my hair?“It is as you have guessed Lista, you are a descent. A goddess descent to be exact,” she observingly stated.“How come? Does this have any connection to my parents? My lineage, and my forgotten childhood, can you tell me all of it now?” I asked mildly desperate to know something I have been wondering for so many years now. But oddly enough, my curiosity does not lie in my parents but to the secret behind my lineage. And why there was a need to hide the fact that I was a descent. Why does being a god descent became a huge dea

Final Chapter: Secrets of the WindI caught a glance of myself in the glass wall of the flower shop I was working in. My hair was really the unusual color, like an albino. But I am sure I was not one. I was not born with this hair, through growing up white strands just started to show and now my hair was nearly all white. That was the reason why I cut my long hair and always wear a hat, to hide it from speculating eyes.I fixed my hat and picked up the spray I was using to water the flowers. Just then wind passed by, nearly tucking my hat out of my head. The wind made some flower petals dance with it up above the air. I smiled by the beautiful scenery of the dancing petals basking under the rays of the sun.It was a happy scene yet my heart started swelling. Sigh, I just can’t make myself continuously happy, I wonder why too, maybe in my past life I have committed a huge sin?“Christy! Come, your favorite chess tournament is about to end!&rdqu

“Moria!” I flinched when someone slapped my face. Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw a face I have not seen for the longest of time.“How dare you sleep in the middle of a war?” The accusing voice was so refreshing, I missed this feeling.“Ferepia,” I called out to the owner of the hand who slapped me.“Yes it is I, the great fire goddess, now stand Moria, you have a battle to win.”When I realized what was happening I quickly stood up and my eyes witnessed the horrendous scene before me. Dead bodies were everywhere, the once green lush ground was now filled with ash, and the trees that were within battle range were all down, burned and destroyed.Meters away from where I was standing, emitting black energy was The Grand Arch Wizard. But there was something different the energy was decreasing. It was constantly decreasing!“Did it worked goddess Ferepia?”Th

In a short time, a bright flame, no, it was the brightest flame I have ever seen danced in from of us.I did not wasted anymore time, I began to fuse my wind spell at the bright flame. The wind would be the guide of this child’s power, the power that will end the enemies.Together, Lucianna and I raised our hands, pointing our spell towards the huge bubble below us. I saw our allies’ faces inside the Johann’s board domain; I trust that they will hold on.“Now!” With all our strength the huge force was directed down to the battle field.I caught Lucianna when she was about to

There was another detail in the prophecy that everyone failed to take notice of. The most important part that will be the key to all of this, it may be our only chance. It was indeed possible for a goddess to defeat this enemy but only one would not suffice against so many enders. So if one would not be enough, we should just call on more.“To my allies, people of Llfhame, for many decades you have put your trust in the gods. Once again, show your devotion and belief; call upon the help of the gods! Together!” I used air to transmit my voice to my comrades. It is gamble since the enemy could hear it too, but this is the only chance.“Your coward gods would never come!”“But I am already here,”Up above the air, I produced a large magic circle enough to cover the whole battlefield.“Now Johann!” I yelled at Johannes who was fighting below. There was no time for him to look at

There is no intention to kill in the energy surrounding her, in fact there was the willingness to cooperate. And of course her hatred for me. the fact that I am a goddess did not seem to have any effect in her view of me. I am still the annoying girl who stole her love interest.“They are ready to execute the plan anytime. My brother is in position,”I nodded at her and faced Johann, “It is time, go lead everyo

Slashing and clashing sounds could be heard all over the place, the other aces were on standby not so far away from the battle field. William ran all around the place, circling Antonella who was rooted in her place.William could have easily go on offensive and return the damage he have taken but because it was Antonella he was facing, he could only go as far as getting on defensive.“Why wouldn’t you fight me?” asked Antonella with an edge of irritation in her voice. “You indeed see me as someone who is weak! That’s what I hate most about you, it’s always you… the genius, the best, the healthy and outstanding William!”The nearest root started to attack William, he sped forward, towards Antonella but a smoke that was violet in color crawled towards him and he knew that if he inhaled that smoke, he would faint. So in one swift motion, he avoided the attacking root and distanced himself from Ant

The wind has become harsher; it felt the brewing danger from the resurrection of the Grand Arch Wizard. Once Johann and the spirits have settled, we came back to the formation and followed the original plan. The others from the academy and the temple were already in their positions, if this comes to worst that plan, we could only hope that is enough.“Don’t worry, we can defeat them,” Johann’s smiling face was oddly not comforting. He trace of smile from what happened earlier was still there, I shook my head in disbelief which only made him grin wider.“William is still restraining Antonella, and we could already see the progress, everything is going as planned.”I remembered the meeting we had at the academe, how we formulated the plan and prepared all the back up plans in case the first strategy fails. We have used all the resources we have, all to not let the Grand Arch Wizard grow more. We should

The wind brushed harshly against my skin as I soar higher to the skies, the creeping feeling of his gaze still lingers in my skin. Quinn has also felt it, the overwhelming pressure the enemy emits.“What are you planning to do?” Beside me Johann struggled to fight against the pressure of the wind, my eyes rounded when I realized he was with me.I was too hasty, when I felt that gaze I moved on instinct, and my instinct was telling me to run away from that place immediately. I ordered Quinn to halt and the wind quickly calmed down, we were higher up in the skies, we were not able to see what was on the ground anymore. What I saw up here was a familiar scene, I once saw this in my memories, that time I was with him, “Harlequin,” the name suddenly came out of my mouth.“Moria?” there was wonder in his voice but I could hear the joy by my mere utterance of that name.“The Grand Arch Wizard has ful

They opened my eyes! Now I am able to see the ugly truth about the life I have been living,” she spread her arms wide and her lips trembled.“Let us go back Nellie, to the academe; William is worried you know,”Antonella’s expression turned into the worst turn after hearing William’s name.
