Alec POV

Staring at the hardwood door of my office, I squeezed the wood of my desk, prepping myself for a conversation that I really didn't want to have. I could hear Aurora and Finn in the hallway outside, and I suspected they were on their way here so Aurora could explain. She must want to talk, but right now wasn't the time!

I knew I had no right to be angry or jealous overhearing her confession, but it didn't stop that I did. The fact she thought I wouldn't fight for her stung. I did care! I always had! But unlike Hugo, I couldn't just drop everything and put her first, no matter how much I wanted to. I had to put my pack first, even before me.
