Alec POV

"He is mugging you off! You can't let it stand!" Wrath howled in my head, watching Hugo and Fury touch Aurora! Fuck, he... they had hands between her thighs in the middle of the bar!

Gripping the scruff of Hugo's hoody, I yanked him off her, Wrath taking over instinctively, throwing Hugo or his damn wolf across the room and into the bar. Neither Wrath nor I gave a shit which one of them was in control; they would listen, they would obey, or I would allow Wrath to fucking destroy them!

"I gave you an order!" I hissed lethally, glaring down at my brother like he was just another pack member. Although the outrage that shone in his eyes told me he was not, and he planned to show me just that!

"We are brothers!" He snarled, pulling himself up off the floor. "She killed our parents! OURS! She owes us both! Not just you!" He snapped like a stroppy child.

"What the fuck! She killed your parents?" Ollie gasped, clearly looking at Aurora in a new light.

"I didn't kill them!" A

Aurora POV The second Alec had exploded on Hugo, I had found my feet but lost my voice. My legs moved of their own accord and took me to the safety of Ollie, although I knew deep down that if Alec turned that rage on Ollie, he wouldn't stand a chance despite how safe he made me feel. "This is insane!" I heard Ollie mutter from beside me, but I couldn't answer, lost in the fight and the meaning behind it. I watched in a trance as Alec repeatedly lunged at Hugo; I had seen them fight many times over the years, but never had I seen Hugo not defend himself, not fight back. "I don't understand." Ava started in my head as Alec pinned Hugo to the bar. "Hugo is strong! There was never any doubt he matched Alec in strength and power; it was solely Alec's initiative and brains that gave him the edge over Hugo." She whined, witnessing the fight become brutal even for us wolves who grew up fighting each other daily. "That and the compassion he used to have!" I whispered to her, finally find

Aurora POV I forced myself to step away from Alec, instantly missing the warmth his body provided. Sucking down the feeling of loss that teased at my heart, I headed back to the bar, walking past Hugo nervously. He lay on the floor, flopping onto his back to look at the ceiling, his hair a mess, his skin bloodied and bruised, but not as much as I suspect his ego was right now. "Did you reach Fury?" I asked Ava, who was still silent although present. Glimpsing the red and blue lights of the police flashing outside the bar. I lowered my head, knowing things were about to get a hell of a lot worse. I slipped back into the safety Ollie offered and nodded at him, an unspoken understanding passing between us. "What are you doing, Aurora!" I heard Alec ask, his voice laced with pain that I didn't want to register, letting me know he, too, had seen the lights outside, but that wasn't surprising. Alec never missed a thing! "What needs to be done, Alec!" I snapped, turning and nodding to t

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 31: She's Gone!

Hugo POV Rolling my bottom lip through my teeth, I watched as Alec signed the release form the officer who arrested us had just shoved under his nose. They had detained Alec and I for 96 hours under charges of aggravated assault and suspected homicide. The first day had been rough even by our standards; we had been repeatedly questioned, had our fingerprints taken, and had a mugshot that, apparently, I wasn't allowed a copy of for the refrigerator at home. If James hadn't stepped in when the authorities applied to extend their hold on us after the first 24 hours, they would have indisputably had a strong case, and instead of release forms, we would be signing away our lives. Alec would also be exchanging his expensive suits for a pretty orange jumpsuit! "Enjoy your new jewellery, gentleman, and I will see you again this time tomorrow." The officer in charge chimed from the back wall as he watched us; despite finding no evidence to charge us formally, he had been reluctant to let us

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 32: Apple Juice

Aurora POV "We have been driving all day! I am fed up with living off crackers and crisps! Can't we stop for half an hour, let me stretch my legs and get something proper to eat?" I moaned, looking over at my companion, my eyes scrutinising his features, not missing the way the corners of his thin lips pulled into a tight frown at the mention of stopping. Without taking his eyes off the road, he leaned over and pulled the lever on my seat, sending it flying back. "There!" He motioned to the space he had just opened up in the footwell for me. "Stretch ya legs!" "Not what I meant!" I grumbled, folding my arms over my chest with a pout, keeping my legs crossed under me on the seat. We had been driving since the twins had been picked up, and frankly, I was having second thoughts on the whole fleeing thing anyway. "It's not just about stretching my legs!" I mumbled, stretching my legs out and wiggling my toes. "I need the bathroom too!" I explained, looking over at the tall, blonde-ha

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 33: No Harm, No Foul

Aurora POV The bright light teased at my retinas as I slowly started coming around from my nap. Forcing my heavy lids open, I came face to face with my reflection in the window panel, sucking in a breath at the state of me, my hair feral and free of its ponytail, eyes sunken despite the sleep, and my cami top had apparently gotten twisted showing my lacey green bra through the black fabric. "Damn, I look like ass!" I muttered, rubbing the back of my head where the pounding was starting to throb again. My eyes adjusting, I paused, seeing nothing but darkness beyond the window. My mouth dried instantly as sweat licked my spine at the confusion churning in my mind. Hadn't there just been a bright light? Blinking a few times, I tried to stretch out only to see my seat belt was tied around the armrest, restraining me somewhat. "What the fuck!" I mumbled numbly. Memories danced across my vision, reminding me of the 'nap' I had unwillingly taken. My companion, Simon, was not in the drivi

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 34: Consequences

Aurora POV Sitting in the front seat of the SUV, I watched in frozen horror through the side window as Simon and Luke dug a grave. In the movies, I had seen villains dig graves, and it always looked painless, but watching a human and werewolf dig a grave in the dark looked anything but easy. "Watching a human and werewolf dig a grave in the dark... Ha! That sounds like the start of a bad joke." I heard Ava whimper from the depths of my mind, swallowing my sob of relief, not wanting to alert my captors to her presence. "Are you ok?" I asked her through our link while being careful not to show any emotion on my face. The guys had attached one of their phones to the dashboard and face-timed the other so they could watch and hear everything from the grave they dug. "No, I feel like..." She paused, anxiety seeping through her and infecting me as she peeked through my eyes to see the predicament I had found myself in. I was still secured to the front seat, my hands pinned to my sides, a

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 35: You Need Me Alive.

Aurora POV My heart sank hearing them talk about me; their plans for every part of my body left me feeling tainted by their filthy desires. I had a feeling I would never be able to wash the shame from my pores, but it wouldn't be the first time Luke had made me feel dirty and worthless, and I had a feeling it wouldn't be the last! "Unless we kill him!" Ava mumbled, sensing the pain and self-hate trickling through me. "Are you strong enough to take control?" I asked Ava, who was currently pacing in my mind, thinking of ways to kill the bastards holding us hostage without making things worse. "I think so, but I can't see how we will get past the phone and then them!" She grunted, surveying the land around us. "If you can just get me out of these restraints, I can do the rest; I have an idea," I admitted, a strategy forming in my mind. I just wasn't sure if I was being reckless again; it seemed my plans never went to plan and always landed me deeper in the shit! "What is it?" A

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 36: You Admire Him?

Alec POV It had been nearly a month since I last set eyes on Aurora! James hadn't heard a thing despite working around the clock to try and find her. He had hacked the Department of Defence's database and was using their technology to try and find her through facial recognition. It helped that his day job when he wasn't working as our pack assassin and fixer was within the Department of Defence. I had no doubt he would find her sooner or later. But I was impatient, knowing that when she outed her connection to Hugo and me on the news, she had painted a target on her back; a part of me couldn't believe how foolish she was, but the rational part of me knew she was desperate, and Hugo and I were to blame for pushing her too far! She may be a traitor and murderer, but she was still my ex-wife! It was common knowledge now that she was connected to Hugo and me in the human world. So those who wanted to take over our business dealings would use her to their advantage if they found her, kn

I soothed myself repeatedly, feeling his hands move up my calves and pull her knees up. I kept my eyes fixed on the ceiling and attempted to will myself out of my body. I was brought back to cold reality when I felt hot breath on my inner thigh followed by his hot tongue, licking. I hadn't realised that I had yelped until he told me to calm down. "C..c..can we just get this o..over with. Please," I stammered, my throat dry. Maxwell lifted his head up and looked at me over my body, his eyes alive with a fire I didn't feel comfortable with. "You don't want me to enter you dry, do you?" With that, he reached down between my parted thighs and cupped my mound. "Or are you already wet?" My mouth desperate for saliva, I simply shook my head in answer. "Then I need to make you a little wet, so I don't hurt either of us. I could spit on the e

Maxwell smirked, his lips thin and tight as he stared at me with an evilness that made me shiver unintentionally. Looking over at Violet, my stomach dropped, seeing the sick smile plastered on her lips. "You're enjoying this!" I growled, and her lips pulled into an even wider smile. "Seeing the bitch that caused absolute chaos get her comeuppance? Absolutely!" She snarled nastily. Looking back at Maxwell, I shook my head of the tears I felt falling from my eyes, hoping to play on his emotions. "I want a blowjob and a fuck!" He declared unashamedly. There it was- His terms! I knew he would have wanted something like this, but hearing him say it made everything feel much more serious and real! As if sitting on a bed surrounded by my own vomit and self-hatred as one of the men I loved hung from chains on the TV with his back ri

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 115: You Can't Be Serious?

Aurora POVStretching out across the softest of beds, my body ached almost as severely as my head throbbed. Opening my eyes slowly, I allowed them to adjust to the bright lights of the sterile room. I was alone, and judging by the goose pimples that had broken out along my stomach, I was naked. "Ava?" I called out to my wolf, feeling alone inside my own head."Ava?" I asked again as I lay back on the plush mattress. I sighed as I realised whatever was making me groggy, was also affecting my wolf.Closing my eyes as I rubbed at my temples and tried to recall where I was or how I had gotten here, but I came up blank, except for the image of my reflection and chains. Something that seemed oddly familiar yet foreign to me. "A baby changes everything!" I heard a female voice snap from somewhere close by. Moving my legs slowly, not wanting to make any noise, I pushed off the bed. Regretting it the second my legs touched the floor, they felt hollow and utterly useless. Gripping the nearby

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 114: Or Die Trying!

Alec POVWe continued the next few hours in silence until we reached large gates that made ours look like child's play. I watched Jason's eyes gloss over as he communicated with his pack, and the doors opened. "Very fancy!" James scoffed as we followed the winding trail up to a large gothic-inspired castle that wrapped around acres of land. He wasn't wrong, this place was fancy! Which made no sense; why would Maxwell go after my pack when he had something so grand at home? Parking outside the entrance, I took a deep breath and hoped we would leave here with the answers we all needed. "Mother!" Jason beamed as a middle-aged woman stepped from the doors, her arms wide as they enveloped him. Her tanned skin and dark hair flowed freely in the light wind as her gigantic son swallowed her tiny frame in a bear hug. A smile split my face, seeing him scoop her up and spin her around, hugging her tightly, not caring that we all stood around watching. "Mother, meet Alpha Azure.." I offer a cu

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 113: Two Weeks Fuckers!

Alec POV"How can it have been ten days, and we are still no closer to finding my brother and wife!" I roared, slamming my fist into a nearby wall, the plasterboard shattering under the force, causing rubble to slide down the wall and coat my hands. "Ex-wife!" James corrected me. The fucker was truly starting to get on my nerves, but I ignored him, reminding myself that he was my oldest friend and instead looked at the destruction I had caused with a sigh. It wasn't the first hole I had made in the walls of my office over the last few days, and I doubt it would be the last. Frustration ate at me with each passing day, knowing that Aurora and Hugo were slipping further and further from me. Luke had given us a name: Maxwell! It didn't take much to get information from the pair once Jason heard his father's name slip from our prisoner's mouth. I had thought James was brutal when it came to torture, but it seemed I had underestimated Jason entirely. We now knew Maxwell headed the traf

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 112: I Remember Everything!

Hugo POV--Ten days later--"How much wolfsbane did you give him?" I heard Violet's panicked voice bounce around the bare walls of my prison cell. I fought the urge to smile. I had purposely remained still all day and worked to slow my breathing right down. Even when the bastard took that whip to my back again to wake me, I refused to make a sound; I just let my body rock back and forth from the impact. It wasn't easy, when all I wanted to do was rip their inners out through their nostrils. But there was more at stake than revenge! I daren't risk a glance at the blacked glass panel, knowing whatever I saw through that window may push me over the edge and ruin my plan. Over the last ten days I had watched them pull enough fingernails and toenails off Aurora to destroy that particular method of torture for me. The joy he took in stripping her naked to humiliate her and aggravate me in any other circumstances would have led to me removing his dead, dull eyes; lucky for him, the chains k

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 111: Blood Eagle!

Alec POV "You look like shit!" I snorted, looking into the filthy cell that held the objects of my anger at this point in time."They don't smell much better!" James gagged mockingly, making me chuckle."Let's change that!" I smirked. Opening their cell, I walked in with James close by, both of us stepping over the shit and discarded clothes. Usually, I avoided such filth. My suits cost more than most people earn in a year, and until Aurora arrived, my appearance was the only thing that gave me joy. "Do you remember that time your father kept those guys down here so long he forgot about them?" James asked, unlocking the chains behind the pair, the heavy metal clinking as it hit the floor, the sound making our human guest in front of James jump. Like the pussy he was!"The whole packhouse stunk of rotten eggs, but we couldn't work out why until we came down here to do something and found them in a cell." He laughed, gripping the human male by his hair; he pulled him from the cell wit

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 110: Hello Boys!

Alec POVStaring at the pyres as the flames consumed our dead and carried them off, I felt my jaw ache from how tightly I had it clenched. My mind was swirling with the events of the last few hours. It felt surreal that I was currently saying goodbye to a handful of my pack members after a demonic attack on my pack. I had heard of these kinds of things happening occasionally throughout history, but never would I have thought that we would be on the receiving end of it. "Here, man." A deeply set voice offered from beside me, placing a cell phone in my hand. "It's all set up, the same number as before, just in case your brother reaches out." James remarked, handing me an opened bottle of beer with a nod."I don't want this!" "I never said you did, but fuck knows you need it. You are giving off mega approach me and die vibes!" He scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest as he watched the flames rise dramatically, crackling through the air. "You approached!" I shrugged, ignoring his c

  • Hunting Their Defiant Luna   Chapter 109: She Is Alive!

Hugo POVI had never been squeamish when it came to blood, but I guess when you spend a large part of your life shifting into a werewolf or torturing those who displease you, it made no sense to be scared of the stuff. I couldn't exactly be the Beta if I passed out every time I got a damn paper cut. But something about the way I was watching blood slide down Aurora's porcelain throat as she paled had me feeling weak-kneed and sick to my stomach. Her words would haunt me for as long as I lived, and I hoped that wouldn't be long because the idea of a world without her in it again was too unfathomable to bear. Plus, having to tell Alec I had let her get killed broke my heart just as much as watching her face slowly pale. Those rosy cheeks turned purple as her eyes closed; I could only imagine the way her heart pumped viciously, trying to get blood around her body for this fucker to drain it. Her arms seemed to relax into the chains, and her body slumped forward; he was killing her; that
