“Mmm,” a man clad in a long black robe took a deep breath like one starved of freedom for several centuries. His eyes were calm and warm, yet there was a deep layer of excitement that the man’s composure could not hide. His smile was as broad as the dimensions of the sea, and even though it was covered by several layers of hair as thick as a collie’s, this smile could not be hidden. The man had a beard so long that he it reached the ground. As for his long wavy hair, it was able to accomplish what his heard was unable to. It kissed the ground and gently draped its surface like the gown of a woman about to be wed. As though this man wasn’t strange enough, he was accompanied by a cat. This cat was covered by black fur and was as small as a newborn kitten. However, the aura that this small beast exuded was so great that any beast below the King Level would be found shivering in fright before it. This man was Pazuzu, the greatest demon to have ever lived in the Dreamscape and the one thin

“She must be done by now right?” Mane wondered as several balls of fire revolved around him with such precise control that one would have assumed that fire was his greatest element.“Well, she did say that she would be done by today,” Hildegarde nodded her head and confirmed her Tested’s words. Since Mane became a Noble, the power of his flames were beyond the tolerance level of any fairy. Maybe only the Fairy Elders and the Fairy King would be able to handle his flames nonchalantly. Hildegarde wasn’t at that level. She definitely wasn’t strong enough to handle Mane’s flames without using her true power! The duo’s conversation was centered on the promise of the one called Zica, the former Supreme of the True Universe. Night Mare and Night’s Kiss had been handed over to Zica some time ago, with the former Supreme promising to turn those two weapons into Divine Weapons before the fortnight. “Do you think we should check up on her to see if she’s done?” Mane asked Hildegarde. “They don’t look any different,” Mane rubbed his bearded chin as he analysed the two swords that lay before him. After confessing that she was done reforming his blades, Zica had retrieved the two companions of the Supreme of the True Universe. She had presented them to the expectant mane who then went on to check out the twin swords. Unfortunately, Mane’s excitement was dampened swiftly when he did the initial analysis. Neither Night Mare nor Night’s Kiss looked different from how they looked before they were given to Zica. How was this supposed to be an improvement?“Are you really a Supreme?” Zica asked with furrowed brows. Her words caused Mane’s brows to twitch but he didn’t respond. The reason he didn’t respond was because of his fairy. Just like Zica, Hildegarde was wondering if Mane had forgotten about his abilities. “Have you forgotten that you are also a Spiritualist?” Hildegarde sighed with an exhausted look on her face. “Sorry,” Mane smiled wryly with an embarrassed

Mane stared at the strange markings that had appeared on the two swords. With his sharp vision he could easily discern that each sword was engraved differently, displaying Zica’s remarkable skill. However, the symbols on the sword were so familiar that Mane swore that he had seen them before. “Are these runes?” Hildegarde who had been silent during this entire encounter was stunned by what she was seeing. As a member of the Fairy Race which had a close relationship with the God King Odin, she was familiar with the many runes that Asgardians could engrave. Of course, the citizens of Asgard preferred to engrave runes on their bodies, choosing not to sully their weapons. Although one would think Asgardians strange because of how highly they regarded their weapons but disregarded the sanctity of their bodies, Hildegarde was aware of the real reason why Asgardians refused to engrave runes onto their weapons. “Runes? Yeah, they definitely look like runes.” Mane nodded in assent. That was

As Mane walked back to the inn, he was lost in thoughts. Gowen City was a Second Class City that he had merely stopped by. This was not his destination. Of course he had never expected to meet Zica here. That encounter could be best described as one with an uncertain fate, for although Zica had granted him a Divine Weapon, what she required of him was a great burden; and he would find out in the future if his decision to accept the bargain was the right one or the wrong one. “Where shall we go next Young Lord,” Tucker asked. “The Citadel,” Mane answered quickly. There wasn’t much to think about. That place had been one of his destinations since he left Asher City. “I thought you would actually choose to go to Sunflower,” Hildegarde was slightly surprised by Mane’s decision. The young Supreme had not seen the woman he loved for several weeks now, and he had confessed to Hildegarde more than five times that he missed Sunflower dearly. Now that his weapons were ready and there was no

The Dragon Lord surveyed the land outside his window. His citizens moved around busily, each to their own devices. Some rushed to the market to get groceries for the week while others rushed into their shops to get the day started. “They are hard workers. The day has barely began yet more than half of the homes in the city have been emptied.” Behind the Dragon Lord stood the man who was both his nephew and right hand man. Black Hand’s eyes were not focused on the bustling city below, but the man who was right before him. “Indeed,” the Dragon Lord nodded his head and slowly walked away with Black Hand following him to his desk. “This city wouldn’t have grown to be as strong as it is now if the citizens were lazy,” the Dragon Lord smiled as he took his seat. “Hahaha. Indeed, it is as you say so Uncle. However, you are the one factor that keeps this city moving. Without you, the Citadel would have been lost.” Black Hand chuckled and took his seat behind the desk as well, but op

  • Hunters: The Prequel   Booming Appearance

Along with the thunderous clap of thunder and a flash of lightning that struck the ground and lit up the slowly brightening sky, Mane appeared before the gates of the Citadel. His eyes were shut as though in contemplation, and the aura that surrounded him slowly faded away. The power of lightning that he had so carelessly unleashed upon his surroundings faded slowly, and the singing throes of thunder disappeared as well. “To think we could travel in such a way,” Hildegarde watched her surroundings in surprise. Just a moment ago they were on the outskirts of Gowen City. However, in merely a few minutes, they had arrived at the Citadel.“When you said it would only take a few minutes I was skeptical. I guess I ought to have more faith in you.” Hildegarde leapt off of Mane’s shoulder and flew next to him. Her eyes scanned the large castle gates before her eyes and she picked up the faint barrier that surrounded the walls of the Citadel.“You should always have faith,” Mane finally sp

“They seem upset,” Mane smiled as he spoke to Hildegarde discretely. “Of course they are upset,” Hildegarde rolled her eyes in exasperation. “You literally landed here without any prior notice within a bolt of lightning. Besides, look around you?” Hildegarde pointed at the giant crater that spanned several hundreds of meters. Mane stood at the center of this crater, with the damage being so expansive that the men who surrounded him had to hop down into the crater and run for a few hundred meters before getting to him. “Well I guess anyone would be upset if their home was wrecked – even if the part that was destroyed is just the outskirts,” Mane smiled bitterly and said. “However, is it wise to come out a barrier that can protect you from Ancients just to satisfy one’s curiosity or even worse, uphold one’s pride?” Mane asked Hildegarde. “Sigh,” Hildegarde rubbed her forehead helplessly. What Mane was subtly hinting at was that the Citadel had grown arrogant. As a city – no, a nation

The heart of the captain went cold when he heard Caitlin’s words. He struggled to lift his head but his neck would not even make an attempt to fulfil its task. This alone paired with the monstrous pressure bearing upon his bulky physique was enough to convince him that Caitlin’s words were not mere drivel. Even without personal confirmation he was sure that the boy was really the God Slayer.“I should have checked the portrait that time,” the captain moaned ruefully. On the day that a meeting was held to discuss the God Slayer, all captains were invited to see the portrait of the God Slayer. He was out on a mission at the time and returned the day after. Upon his return, he was told to check the God Slayer’s portrait so that if he was ever to meet him outside, he would not offend him. However, he had dismissively said he wasn’t going to leave the Citadel anytime soon, and that he would come check it out when he was ready to leave. He sent Caitlin in his place and she came back making

“This…is amazing,” Mane’s eyes widened as he took in the sight before him.The young Supreme was seated on Roxanne. The beautiful dark horse had been granted the power of flight by Crystal who had no trouble casting a flight Lease on the lovely beast. While this was not a permanent condition, it would last hours, and that was thanks to Crystal’s expert command over Chaos. Any other person would have been able to cast this Lease for just under a few minutes. Mane was no exception to this. Even if his power was not sealed, he would not be able to use this Lease to liberally. If this Lease was that practical, it would have been popularized.Next to him, Professors Stern and Stanley, and Dean Desmond had smile plastered on their faces as they watched the Supreme’s gobsmacked reaction to the impressive sight before him. Behind the professors were the students, both old and new. While the older students, Kahn, Frost, Bel, and Maia were floating on their own, the new students had to be envel

His figure flashed as he appeared before Zeus, shielding him from the gaze of his own blood brother. “You have fallen low brother. Now, you require the protection of a titan? Hilarious.” Poseidon mocked as he locked eyes with the delicate looking Atlas. “Of course I have fallen. Not only was I betrayed by my own son, but I also almost died. What did you expect will happen when one who is considered as part of the big three of Olympus approaches a fallen god?” Zeus did not mind his brother’s comments.Instead

Days passed and soon it was time for Mane to leave the planet of the Celestial Emperor. Well, he wasn’t the only one leaving. It was time for the professors to return to their academies with their students – both old and new. In front of the portal that could transport them back to their academies, Mane stood with his friends as they bid each other goodbye. Well, something close to that at least. To give them some privacy, the other professors had gone on ahead with the students, standing a few tens of meters away from the Silver Wolves.“Our great Supreme, our captain and leader, the Unbended is finally leaving us. Whatever are we to do?” Abe waved his hands theatrically as he feigned sadness and pain. His words caused Selina and the twins to snicker. Only Aegeus snorted before shooting Abe a deathly stare. As for Mane, he could only smile wryly at Abe’s comments. He didn’t know when it had started since he had been away for so long in the Dreamscape, but Abe had become more easy goi

  • Hunters: The Prequel   Way Forward

It took a week for Godking to complete its assignment and soon, Mane was back on Planet Celestial. Walking through the streets of the capital, he noticed that he was receiving a lot of stares. While it wasn’t unusual for people to stare at him given his appearance and his ethereal aura, that was only on Zandor. One could argue that it was because he didn’t look like a Celestial, but that was not accurate either. Since Celestials opened their homes to others who craved entry into the God Academies, they had welcomed several different species into their home world. Mane wasn’t not out of place in this new era, meaning there were definitely staring for another reason.“You have become very popular, young Supreme,” Professor Stern who was walking next to Mane chuckled and said.“Hahaha! The recordings that were taken of you should have spread everywhere by now. Even those who were unable to attend the event know who you are!” Professor Stanley laughed heartily while striking the young Sup

“You are still eating, even after all that happened?” Hildegarde frowned and said. She was looking at the boy who had forcefully taken her with him when he was returning to his realm with a disapproving gaze. They had escaped that world that had been prepared as his burial place. As though it had never happened, they had returned to the exact spot he had been teleported from – the kitchen. Hildegarde was confused about his current reaction.Seeing him biting onto his tuna sandwich caused her eyebrows to lift in frustration. It was the very same meal that Mane had made and had barely taken a bite of when he was transported to another world. And yes, that was not a dream; it had really happened. She couldn’t understand how the Supreme could be so calm after coming out of a life-or-death situation.“What would you have me do then? Toss it into the trashcan? That would be a waste of food.” Mane answered nonchalantly as he wiped some fish from his cheek.“That…” Hildegarde searched for wor

There were many things that could not be understood in this world, regardless of the amount of logic that one’s mind could process at any given moment, there were things that befuddled even the most brilliant minds. One of such brilliant minds – no, two of these – was staring into the sky full of stars with a torn expression on his face. This man – nay, this god – was the trickster and master shapeshifter, Loki. But he wasn’t alone.“What are you thinking about?”“Many things.”“The great Loki has more than one troubling issue? This is interesting. Odin would have laughed at the absurdity of such a statement; but looking at your expression, it seems to be true.”“It is arrogance to assume that one can solve all one’s problems with one’s mind alone. Why do you think I sought you?”“Isn’t it greater arrogance to presume that two would be enough?”“But its not just two is it? One is the mind of Odin and the other is the mind that Odin sought.”“You say you aren’t arrogant, but you do not

“There really is no one impressive here,” Dragon King Bast stated as his sword sliced through a Noble as easily as cutting through tofu.“I knew he said he will make sure this place is left almost unguarded, but this is incredible,” Captain Hafiz muttered as he watched the disciplined legion of warriors beelining into their path. While he spoke calmly, his rioting aura and the violence being radiated in his eyes showed his eagerness for war.
