Abe was still keeping an eye Breaker with great intensity. There had been no major changes. However, the black aura around him was growing stronger. The man had been too quiet for a while. Suddenly Breaker disappeared from his position. Abe’s danger senses immediately went crazy, and he heard a loud ringing in his head. Although he had been watching Breaker, the assassin’s speed took him by great surprise.

Before he knew what was happening, Breaker had appeared to his side. And the little assassin’s hammer was heading straight for Abe’s ribs. The dark energy that coated the hammer was so menacing that Abe’s earth armor was being corroded even before the weapon got to him.

Abe instinctively placed his sword to his left in a guarded position. A bright golden light engulfed his blade as the earth elements came to the young prince’s aid. He reflexively resorted to a technique he didn’t like to rely on, much like the one who passed

The ground shook, and the wind howled as Abe moved with great ferocity towards Breaker. The mighty roar of the Wyvern carried great spiritual pressure, and Breaker who was faced with its assault was shaken for a brief period. For the Wyvern’s scream bored directly into his mind and invaded his soul. For that brief moment, Breaker felt himself shackled, trapped and alone. A great anxiety gripped his soul, and his mind travelled to a time he didn’t want to remember.“You did all that for power, not for me” A beautiful woman in a white gown appeared before Breaker in his mindscape. Her eyes were filled with tears, and her nose reddened in sorrow. Her feet and hands were stained with blood. And there was a huge, gaping hole in her chest. When Breaker saw her his face was filled with terror and grief. And he instinctively moved back.“Stay back! Don’t come any closer!” he screamed. He constantly backtracked as he spoke. His eagernes

“Return,” Abe stated, and the Wyvern that moved with him became a midst that filled his right arm. On his scaled right arm appeared the marking of a Wyvern with its mouth wide open. The drawing light up, and Abe’s right hand was engulfed by a great red light much deeper than the scales that concealed his human frame. Abe pulled his arm back with great force like a bowstring. Great power was gathered into his curled up fist as his speed greatly increased. And like a flash of light he disappeared, leaving behind nothing but an afterimage.“You did this!” Breaker returned to the real world with the anger he had racked up in his mindscape. He may be deranged, but he knew that he didn’t enter his mindscape willingly. This was because since his power up he had been fighting himself to prevent his mind from returning to that particular place. But his defenses had been broken by the Wyvern’s roar. He understood that the spiritual pressure beh

Abe stared expressionlessly at the fallen Breaker. The dark aura that surrounded the Dark God’s Divine Servant was no more. The little assassin was severely battered. His chest was a mess, and several of his ribs were broken. His heart had been completely obliterated, and if it wasn’t because of his special constitution, he would have long given up the ghost.“I assume we will meet again?” Abe looked into Breaker’s rapidly dimming eyes and said. Breaker couldn’t say anything, but he could still hear what Abe was saying – faintly. Abe’s words alarmed him somewhat. For he spoke as one who knew that Breaker and the others had extra lives.“Well, you cannot answer anyway. I want you to send a message to your master for me. Tell the Dark God that the Silver Wolves will not forget this. When our pack is complete and our power mature, he will feel the ferocity of our roar.” Abe stated with a stern expression before d

  • Hunters: The Prequel   Ray vs Seth

Ray stood calmly amidst the dark storm that threatened to swallow Zandor. His eyes were without a trace of fear and his aura was still calm. He slightly squinted his eyes at Seth’s crazed remark, but he didn’t dwell on it for long. For Seth to be this confident meant that there was something that the Dark God was relying on. But he couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary. So he might as well focus on the task at hand.“I will serve no one,” Ray stated defiantly as his aura was unveiled. Without any reservations he activated his Fire Domain, reminding the universe of what he was – a Fire King. The beast that lay hidden was revealed. The chains that kept the monster within tamed were shaken off, and the power that was usually confined reminded Zandor that although the Brute King belonged here, he still was a massive threat.A power so vast that what was revealed during the slaughter of the Assassins Organisation looked mediocre quic

Ray’s expression was extremely unpleasant. As an Olympian, his power was tied to himself. No matter how good a weapon was, it wouldn’t help him much. Even though he was an expert with the sword due to his ancestry, it wouldn’t improve his power much. The same went for many other gods. The situation changes when a god is paired with an Attribute Artefact that shared in his attribute. But Attribute Weapons were rare. Only a few had appeared in the True Universe, and each of them was created due to luck. Cronos’s Clock of Eternity for instance was created not based on skill, but on luck. For though the creators were talented, never in their wildest dreams had they envisioned a Time Attribute Weapon would be born from their hands. Ray had searched the True Universe for such a weapon after realizing that his growth was slowing down. And though he stopped his search after Alexis got pregnant, he had searched pretty much every great ruin he could find but to no avai

“Get out of my way,” Seth gritted his teeth in anger as he swung the Dark Sword. The powerful artefact hummed dully as its figure blurred in the darkness that engulfed it. With great power it sent a thin but very sharp sword light flying at Ray.“You’re not the only one who can use a weapon” Ray said in disdain. The avatar he summoned seemed to share in his disdain, for it swung the large claymore it held towards Seth with great precision. And a burning sword light intercepted the dark sword light.*Bang*Both sword lights were strong, and neither could gain the upper hand, leading to each cancelling the other out. Seth’s expression was very ugly upon seeing this. The dark sword light was a manifestation of both his and the Dark Sword’s power. Yet together they couldn’t overwhelm Ray.“You are not going anywhere,” Ray declared before launching several attacks, intent on keeping Seth grounded.

“What if all this while we have been wrong? What if Seth isn’t the most eccentric person in the Universe, but the most logical?” Alexis asked Ray and Butler Fin once. What if the Dark God did the things he did because he had to do them, not because he wanted to?“What if the reason why Seth is so strong is because the mortals do not know him, neither do they understand him?”Alexis’s words had remained with Ray long after she left. He was left pondering this exact issue. Every god had a weakness, and when that weakness was worked upon, their godhead could be temporarily weakened, allowing a Scholar to identify and destroy it. For Fire Gods like himself, water was a great weakness. For Earth Gods, fire was their bane and for Lightning Gods like Zeus, earth was a great suppressor. Every element had its weakness. Seth was the only Dark God, but many believed that his weakness was light. It wasn’t that hard to figure out, for that

As the two warred, Alexis spoke.“The Brute King may be able to hold the Dark God back, but he isn’t the permanent solution to Zandor’s woes. He cannot stop the Dark God from coming over and over again.”“But you can help. If you’re wondering how, you already completed the first part by listening to me. The Dark God draws his power from fear. And he does this best by hiding in the shadows. But now you know his name, so the shadows of Zandor are no longer under his control.”“The second part is a bit harder. I need you to denounce the Dark God”“Absolute Queen!” Seth’s raging voice resounded from within the dark domain, followed by loud explosions and flashing lights. His voice brought fear into the hearts of many. For the power that was commanded by his voice alone was no joke.“If any of you dares denounce me, I will…” Seth angrily exclaimed. But he was cut

“This…is amazing,” Mane’s eyes widened as he took in the sight before him.The young Supreme was seated on Roxanne. The beautiful dark horse had been granted the power of flight by Crystal who had no trouble casting a flight Lease on the lovely beast. While this was not a permanent condition, it would last hours, and that was thanks to Crystal’s expert command over Chaos. Any other person would have been able to cast this Lease for just under a few minutes. Mane was no exception to this. Even if his power was not sealed, he would not be able to use this Lease to liberally. If this Lease was that practical, it would have been popularized.Next to him, Professors Stern and Stanley, and Dean Desmond had smile plastered on their faces as they watched the Supreme’s gobsmacked reaction to the impressive sight before him. Behind the professors were the students, both old and new. While the older students, Kahn, Frost, Bel, and Maia were floating on their own, the new students had to be envel

His figure flashed as he appeared before Zeus, shielding him from the gaze of his own blood brother. “You have fallen low brother. Now, you require the protection of a titan? Hilarious.” Poseidon mocked as he locked eyes with the delicate looking Atlas. “Of course I have fallen. Not only was I betrayed by my own son, but I also almost died. What did you expect will happen when one who is considered as part of the big three of Olympus approaches a fallen god?” Zeus did not mind his brother’s comments.Instead

Days passed and soon it was time for Mane to leave the planet of the Celestial Emperor. Well, he wasn’t the only one leaving. It was time for the professors to return to their academies with their students – both old and new. In front of the portal that could transport them back to their academies, Mane stood with his friends as they bid each other goodbye. Well, something close to that at least. To give them some privacy, the other professors had gone on ahead with the students, standing a few tens of meters away from the Silver Wolves.“Our great Supreme, our captain and leader, the Unbended is finally leaving us. Whatever are we to do?” Abe waved his hands theatrically as he feigned sadness and pain. His words caused Selina and the twins to snicker. Only Aegeus snorted before shooting Abe a deathly stare. As for Mane, he could only smile wryly at Abe’s comments. He didn’t know when it had started since he had been away for so long in the Dreamscape, but Abe had become more easy goi

It took a week for Godking to complete its assignment and soon, Mane was back on Planet Celestial. Walking through the streets of the capital, he noticed that he was receiving a lot of stares. While it wasn’t unusual for people to stare at him given his appearance and his ethereal aura, that was only on Zandor. One could argue that it was because he didn’t look like a Celestial, but that was not accurate either. Since Celestials opened their homes to others who craved entry into the God Academies, they had welcomed several different species into their home world. Mane wasn’t not out of place in this new era, meaning there were definitely staring for another reason.“You have become very popular, young Supreme,” Professor Stern who was walking next to Mane chuckled and said.“Hahaha! The recordings that were taken of you should have spread everywhere by now. Even those who were unable to attend the event know who you are!” Professor Stanley laughed heartily while striking the young Sup

Hildegarde was confused about his current reaction.Seeing him biting onto his tuna sandwich caused her eyebrows to lift in frustration. It was the very same meal that Mane had made and had barely taken a bite of when he was transported to another world. And yes, that was not a dream; it had really happened. She couldn’t understand how the Supreme could be so calm after coming out of a life-or-death situation.“What would you have me do then? Toss it into the trashcan? There were many things that could not be understood in this world, regardless of the amount of logic that one’s mind could process at any given moment, there were things that befuddled even the most brilliant minds. One of such brilliant minds – no, two of these – was staring into the sky full of stars with a torn expression on his face. This man – nay, this god – was the trickster and master shapeshifter, Loki. But he wasn’t alone.“What are you thinking about?”“Many things.”“The great Loki has more than one troubling issue? This is interesting. Odin would have laughed at the absurdity of such a statement; but looking at your expression, it seems to be true.”“It is arrogance to assume that one can solve all one’s problems with one’s mind alone. Why do you think I sought you?”“Isn’t it greater arrogance to presume that two would be enough?”“But its not just two is it? One is the mind of Odin and the other is the mind that Odin sought.”“You say you aren’t arrogant, but you do not
