As expected of the planet that was ruled by the Usurper, Shadow assembled many warships in under thirty minutes. Several strong warriors occupied each ship, and each ship was flanked on each side by Ascenders. The faces of the warriors were as rigid as rocks and their auras were as sturdy as the highest mountains. Although they were subjects of the greatest sky in this universe, their faces did not hold the pride that was birthed from such status. Hubris was far from them; it was as far as the east is from the west. Their eyes were steely and cold, and though they were not absolute like their king, their countenance was that of the sharpest blades.
