“So that is who you are,” Mane looked upon the axe in his hands with a complicated expression. Although the axe was heavy, and weighed as much as an actual planet, Mane was able to hold on to it steadily. It felt like a part of him; like a piece of his soul that had been missing for so long. It was only when he held on to this axe did he suddenly understand why he had the sudden urge to experience the world of axes and hammers; why he wanted to learn axe arts and understand the laws of destructive fighting. It was all because of this weapon.

When it appeared, Mane felt its cries and summoned it down to him. And when he held on to it, visions of its birth filled Mane’s eyes, and he understood everything. Now he knew of the man called Thor, and the sacrifice he had made; and he also knew of the one called Odin, who didn’t hesitate to send down the Spirit of his own weapon as a gift to his great grandson. Mane saw it all through the young spirit of his ax

“Harbinger of Chaos? A strange name it is.” Hildegarde mumbled, and Mane smiled. For within his mindscape his new axe was vibrating strongly in protest, a reaction Mane found to be quite amusing.“Well, only someone like you would like a name like that,” Hildegarde added. “I guess the axe training and destructive fighting skills you picked up from Vital Orange will come in handy here,” Hildegarde spoke once more, and Mane nodded his head in agreement. He had requested of Vital Orange that he be taught the ways of the axe. And the older man obliged. He had helped Mane train with an axe for a month, and although he hadn’t passed down any real techniques to Mane, Mane had gotten used to the use of an axe thanks to the older gentleman. But that was two years ago, and ever since Mane left Asher City, he hadn’t touched an axe. So he was bound to be rusty. What did help was that Harch was a part of him, and using it felt

“This is just cheating!” Hildegarde huffed in annoyance. “How are all of your abilities so overpowered?!” she just couldn’t understand this. Not only had Mane’s base stats increased greatly, his limit was now beyond that of mid-level False Ascenders! It was admirable to see the first few things, but after that it was just unfair to everyone else who had to slave their entire lives and rejoice when their stats were ten percent of Mane’s!“Well Hildegarde, there is this thing called being born with a silver spoon in your mouth. To mortals this refers to a wealth of treasures and gold coins that assure them of a certain future. For wielders this is power. As someone born with superior talent and a bloodline that cannot be ranked even by Spirit Scan, it is my birthright to possess so much power.”Mane guffawed loudly in pride, prompting both Aurora and Crystal to look upon him strangely. Although they were behind him, M

“How does it have a domain?” Hildegarde asked stutteringly once they were back on track, moving towards the edge of the platform.“What do you mean?” Mane wondered. “There are several weapons with domains” he added. Indeed, Mane was right. Although the number of Divine Weapons per world in the True Universe were few, when one considered the total number of weapons present, they would come up with at least several thousands of them. Although domains were skills mostly possessed by gods, when a Divine Weapon was made, there was a 45 percent chance that it would gain a Domain Skill. And the range and limit of this skill varied from Divine Weapon to Divine Weapon. But the point was that it was not rare. So Hildegarde’s surprise was unwarranted, at least in Mane’s books.“Your weapon was just born. Usually even if a Domain Skill appears on a Divine Level Weapon, it wouldn’t be revealed until the weapon was a few te

“In front of the Great King of Reapers, my intelligence is hardly something to boast about,” Mane was quick to evade the arrow of praise that was freely given by one of the most powerful beings in the Allverse. For the man Mane had initially thought was a guard for the Watchers was actually the one being strong enough to face off against all three Watchers with no assistance!“How did you discover my identity?” the eyes of the Reaper were rich with confusion. With but a thought the mountainous pressure that sought to destroy Aurora disappeared. The one who was responsible for Aurora’s predicament and relief at the same time was now focused on Mane and Mane only. As for the others, he did ignore. Although Aurora was someone that had escaped the clutches of death so many times that the Reaper was inclined to take her soul, for it was his right, right now Mane was much more interesting to him than some Wraith that was only at the level of a False As

The greatest planet of the 2nd Heaven was the Higher World which once housed the great God King Zeus – Planet Olympus. Olympus was a gloriously beautiful planet. And Mount Olympus was just as beautiful as it was several thousands of years ago. Yet there was a feeling of gloom that surrounded the gigantic mountain that stretched past the confines of the sky and nearly touched the space outside. The ferocity of the great Mount Olympus could still be felt from several planets away. Yet there was something that felt off about it. Its strong presence was now greatly overshadowed by an enormous amount of bloodlust that was as chilling as it was surprising. Yet when one was enriched with the knowledge that Zeus was Lord no more, and that it was his immature son – the God of War, Ares – who now reigned, the deathly energy and hopelessness that filled the formerly gloriously imposing mountain made sense.Upon Mount Olympus was a huge palace that was made w

“Do you believe that father is still alive?” Deus asked as the three walked through the palace halls.“I do not know, Deus,” Perseus shook his head with a small smile. Yet within the depths of his eyes was a complicated light that flashed ever so briefly. Deus didn’t see this, however the other man did.“What about you Darius?” Deus asked, revealing the last man’s name. Unlike the other two, Darius was not a half-god nor a god. He was an Ascender who ruled over a higher world before being recruited by Zeus. Well, recruited was actually a strong word. It was more of a coerced recruiting than it was a willing decision. He was a man of great power, so much so that Zeus had sealed his power once he accepted him as his subordinate. Darius could only use his full strength when Olympus was in great distress, the kind that could destroy the planet. So many gods referred to him as the ‘Last Line of Defense’. In fact, A

“Argh!” Ares screamed in rage once the announcement of the True Universe Will was complete. His power spiraled out of control and threatened to bring the palace down. Luckily the decision of Zeus several millions of years ago to reinforce the walls of the palace with high grade materials – regardless of the great fortune it cost Olympus – ensured that the palace walls still stood sturdily. However, those who were standing right in front of Ares weren’t so lucky.Darius had his arms before him as he conjured an aura shield to defend against Ares’s rioting aura. However, the power of the God of War was so strong that Darius’s arura shield was being eroded quickly.“If only I could use my original power,” Darius sighed silently as a stray aura strand breached his aura shield and struck him on the arm.Deus was much worse off than Darius. Although Darius’s power was partially sealed, he could still summon t

“This…is amazing,” Mane’s eyes widened as he took in the sight before him.The young Supreme was seated on Roxanne. The beautiful dark horse had been granted the power of flight by Crystal who had no trouble casting a flight Lease on the lovely beast. While this was not a permanent condition, it would last hours, and that was thanks to Crystal’s expert command over Chaos. Any other person would have been able to cast this Lease for just under a few minutes. Mane was no exception to this. Even if his power was not sealed, he would not be able to use this Lease to liberally. If this Lease was that practical, it would have been popularized.Next to him, Professors Stern and Stanley, and Dean Desmond had smile plastered on their faces as they watched the Supreme’s gobsmacked reaction to the impressive sight before him. Behind the professors were the students, both old and new. While the older students, Kahn, Frost, Bel, and Maia were floating on their own, the new students had to be envel

His figure flashed as he appeared before Zeus, shielding him from the gaze of his own blood brother. “You have fallen low brother. Now, you require the protection of a titan? Hilarious.” Poseidon mocked as he locked eyes with the delicate looking Atlas. “Of course I have fallen. Not only was I betrayed by my own son, but I also almost died. What did you expect will happen when one who is considered as part of the big three of Olympus approaches a fallen god?” Zeus did not mind his brother’s comments.Instead

Days passed and soon it was time for Mane to leave the planet of the Celestial Emperor. Well, he wasn’t the only one leaving. It was time for the professors to return to their academies with their students – both old and new. In front of the portal that could transport them back to their academies, Mane stood with his friends as they bid each other goodbye. Well, something close to that at least. To give them some privacy, the other professors had gone on ahead with the students, standing a few tens of meters away from the Silver Wolves.“Our great Supreme, our captain and leader, the Unbended is finally leaving us. Whatever are we to do?” Abe waved his hands theatrically as he feigned sadness and pain. His words caused Selina and the twins to snicker. Only Aegeus snorted before shooting Abe a deathly stare. As for Mane, he could only smile wryly at Abe’s comments. He didn’t know when it had started since he had been away for so long in the Dreamscape, but Abe had become more easy goi

  • Hunters: The Prequel   Way Forward

It took a week for Godking to complete its assignment and soon, Mane was back on Planet Celestial. Walking through the streets of the capital, he noticed that he was receiving a lot of stares. While it wasn’t unusual for people to stare at him given his appearance and his ethereal aura, that was only on Zandor. One could argue that it was because he didn’t look like a Celestial, but that was not accurate either. Since Celestials opened their homes to others who craved entry into the God Academies, they had welcomed several different species into their home world. Mane wasn’t not out of place in this new era, meaning there were definitely staring for another reason.“You have become very popular, young Supreme,” Professor Stern who was walking next to Mane chuckled and said.“Hahaha! The recordings that were taken of you should have spread everywhere by now. Even those who were unable to attend the event know who you are!” Professor Stanley laughed heartily while striking the young Sup

They had escaped that world that had been prepared as his burial place. As though it had never happened, they had returned to the exact spot he had been teleported from – the kitchen. Hildegarde was confused about his current reaction.Seeing him biting onto his tuna sandwich caused her eyebrows to lift in frustration. It was the very same meal that Mane had made and had barely taken a bite of when he was transported to another world. And yes, that was not a dream; it had really happened. She couldn’t understand how the Supreme could be so calm after coming out of a life-or-death situation.“What would you have me do then? Toss it into the trashcan? There were many things that could not be understood in this world, regardless of the amount of logic that one’s mind could process at any given moment, there were things that befuddled even the most brilliant minds. One of such brilliant minds – no, two of these – was staring into the sky full of stars with a torn expression on his face. This man – nay, this god – was the trickster and master shapeshifter, Loki. But he wasn’t alone.“What are you thinking about?”“Many things.”“The great Loki has more than one troubling issue? This is interesting. Odin would have laughed at the absurdity of such a statement; but looking at your expression, it seems to be true.”“It is arrogance to assume that one can solve all one’s problems with one’s mind alone. Why do you think I sought you?”“Isn’t it greater arrogance to presume that two would be enough?”“But its not just two is it? One is the mind of Odin and the other is the mind that Odin sought.”“You say you aren’t arrogant, but you do not
