Indra moved immediately he spoke. *Boom*Thunder followed the flash of lightning headed towards Medusa, and before one could complete a cycle of respiration, Indra was already before Medusa. His eyes glowed with the power of the element from which his legend had began, and his mind churned as he located the string of movements necessary to deal the most damage."Hmph," Medusa's smile was no longer present. The killing intent she felt from Indra was much thicker than it was before, making it difficult to ignore like she had been doing all this while. As Indra's threatening force approached Medusa, she growled unhappily and commanded several snakes to stand in her way while making a hasty retreat. Several humongous snakes quickly intercepted Indra's charge, placing their mistress's life before theirs. Unfortunately for these snakes, their sizes mattered little to Indra."I have killed snakes who have even attained Godhood, much less mere mindless beasts," Indra snorted coldly as the power of his Breath, Spear of Lightning, grew even stronger.The snakes Medusa had summoned were all Ascenders, but they were mindless beasts. Usually an animal with such power should have sentience and be capable of even changing form, but Medusa's snakes had long lost their will. Although they had great power, they didn't have the minds to harness it. Hence, their combat strength had reduced by at least half. To bring such beasts before Indra was asking them to sacrifice their lives for a few seconds of reprieve; and that was exactly what happened.*B

In a remote corner of the True Universe, a desolate planet revolved slowly around a dying star. The planet was located in the 1st Heaven - more accurately - at the end of one of the branches of Yggdrasil - the World Tree which connected the worlds of the 1st Heaven.*Crunch*A hooded man walked slowly across the deserted surface of the planet. The planet hadn't seen the light of day in a long time because it's lone star was dying out, producing dying embers that could illuminate it slightly and not do any more than that. However, that was sufficient for the man who walked his way through the planet. His steps were so light that it took the keenest of ears to hear his footsteps, and his clothes remained untouched by the swirling dust of the ancient planet. A thin armor of Edict surrounded the hooded man, preventing anything - from dust to the battering winds of this cold planet - from getting to him. Reinlief led Atlas to a room that was hidden from the noise of the underground cave. This room was something like a relief center, albeit a fairly simple one. It had a bed at one corner, and a table with two chairs at its center. There were no windows, but the place was as cold as a frozen lake; however, neither Reinlief nor Atlas seemed bothered by the extreme temperature. This was Reinlief's room.The two sat facing each other, with several jugs of mead before them. They drunk like camels, and didn't seem to have a limit to their alcohol capacity, for they just kept on going."Why didn't you let us know that you were coming?" Reinlief chugged a full jug of mead before ruthlessly slamming the empty container onto the table, an action that ellicited a small tremor in the earth. However, the table which received the brunt of Reinlief's force was unharmed; neither was the jug."Well, it isn't exactly easy to reach you these days," Atlas chuckled as he gulped down mead from the huge mug

"Unbelievable," Reinlief muttered for the nth time as he slumped to the ground, spilling mead all over the floor."You have said that a thousand times already," Atlas grumbled while staring at the spilling mead with an expression of pain on his face.Nidavellir was isolated from most of the True Universe, meaning that something like mead was almost impossible to get here. The dwarves here were master craftsmen, but they had no idea how to make mead. That was left to Asgard. The capital of the 1st Heaven frequently brought over barrels of the priceless commodity to Nidavellir, but the dwarves were drunkards and the barrels that could easily sate the thirst of an entire city for a few years could only contain the gluttony of the dwarves for a few months. Nidavellir was a planet that boasted of having all its cities underground; and Atlas was learning how far the underground network of this dwarven planet stretched. He was one who always confined himself to Reinlief's room whenever he came here, and seldom explored the planet; so this was a very fresh experience for him. The titan had his hood over his head once again as he and Reinlief made their way into the deeper sections of the underground cave. The tunnels were small, much like the one Atlas had used in getting to Reinlief, and both had to crawl through it. They sought Hephaestus's home, and they had been walking for over thirty minutes to complete their quest."We are almost there. Once we leave this tunnel, we'd be at Lord Hephaestus's workshop." As Atlas spent his time in Nidavellir, seeking to impress his king, the war for Zandor raged on. It may have been peaceful inside the planet - for the enemies who had approached it had all been vanquished- but there were many other warriors who sought to gobble up Zandor for themselves, eagerly fighting outside.
