He Lives

Mane lay silently in his bed, his thoughts churning and swirling. His eyes were aimed at the ceiling. Those beautiful blue orbs that spoke of his heritage and his birth, sparkled with dim acknowledgement as the words of the God King Brahman continuously played through the young Supreme’s mind. His sparkling eyes may have been facing the ceiling, yet they were not focussed on it. His heart was somewhere else, just like his mind.

“Are you wondering if he spoke the truth?” 1st asked his quiet disciple.

The beauty of being linked to Mane’s mind was the ability to discern the unhidden thoughts of the latter without much effort. It was a convenient means of communication, and one that lovers all around the universe would no doubt have craved. Alas, they could only envy it.

“No, I know he spoke the truth,” Mane shook his head at his master’s question, his reply showing how much he trusted in his masters.
