The winds of change howled through the darkening skies. This wind had been prevalent since the Supreme revealed himself a few days ago. Since then, the hubbub had died out, but the name of the Supreme had not been forgotten. These few days were enough for the people to give the 7th Supreme a new name. Some called him the Rising Star Supreme while others called him the Storm Bringer because of his feat of commanding lightning during his duel; however, these paled in comparison to the monicker that the entire universe acknowledged.

Mane Harbinger the Unbended!

For the Supreme had refused to bow even when overwhelmed by the power of his foe! Every universe craved the power of a Supreme whose power was unmatched. After all, who didn’t want the protector of the universe to be the strongest in that universe? Of course, this excluded those who schemed in the darkness and detested the light. While might was important, a will that was above all others was regarded even more highly. The Supreme

“Thor Odinson, King of Asgard. One has to admit that it has got a nice ring to it.” Heimdall, master of interstellar transport and the one whose eyes could see through all deceit to ascertain truth, looked up at the being seated uncomfortably on the throne of Asgard with a teasing smile.“What are you doing here and why are you calling me that,” Thor asked, his eyes radiating his discomfort.“Am I to remain as a trapped lamb on the planet I was assigned to? This is more interesting, isn’t it? Seeing the King of Asgard squirming upon the seat which he wields power from.” Heimdall chuckled. It surely was an interesting sight to see the one who had the blood of millions of giants in his hands lose his composure because of a mere title. Well, who could blame him when Thor had hated the concept of king from the very moment he had learned what humility was. When he understood that freedom and kingship were two completely hostile factors, he had forsaken any desire to rule. In fact, he had s

“Have you not ever questioned what has happened here?”“No, why should I? My only role is to defend Olympus.”Reus and Heracles sat next t each other. Each one gazed longingly at the stars that adorned the skies of Olympus. Those stars varied in colours. Some were red, others so black that even the night sky could not conceal them, some purple, and others the classic white. These were the skies of Olympus. These were the skies of the gods of this world.“You truly are simple huh. When it comes to battle however, you are incredibly astute. You are a tough foe.” Reus chuckled“As are you. Even though I went all out, I was still not your match.” Heracles admitted calmly“You are putting it way too humbly. I was in danger many times throughout the battle.” Reus argued“That was because you weren’t taking it seriously. If you had gone all out from the beginning, I would not have been able to fight against you for so long.” Heracles replied, lifting his fair hand towards the skies“We fough

“Ares is dead. Should you not throw the towel at this point? Huh, brother?” Hermes, he whose speed was unrivalled throughout the 2nd Heaven, smiled as he looked at the man before him.Perseus, the man who had abandoned his beliefs and followed a murderer and an usurper, looked calmly at Perseus through the bars of his cell.Unlike what Reus thought, Hermes had not been off world when Ares had struck. Hermes had been part of the gods who failed to accept Ares as king, and the god of war had chosen to make an example of him, displaying his battered body right in from of the palace. Right now, one could say that Hermes was in better condition than he was in before. For while his power was still shackled, Perseus had moved him to an underground prison once Ares’ death was announced.“Why would I do that? He was a dangerous factor. He has now been removed. I will take his place.”“You are really ambitious huh. It seems you had prepared this from the start.” Hermes muttered, his eyes furrow

*Boom*Conflict. It was something that happened everywhere. There was no one exempt from it. What differed was its nature. For some, conflict came in the form of war and famine. For others, it was merely a disagreement that would not cost them their lives, but their livelihoods. Others fought against themselves. Whatever it was, conflict was universal, and even gods were not exempt from this. Apollo looked at his opponent, his eyes burning with the fiery rage that the universe had long forgotten. He exuded light so pure and true that the one who was facing him was forced to take a few steps back. Yet he did not retreat.“Will you keep standing in my path!” Apollo asked as his sword was enveloped by the rare light element.“Forgive me. I am merely doing what I ought to do,” Horus, the man who stood opposite the Olympian God with free reign over the rare light element, spoke.“What you ought to? You speak of this like it is your obligation. It is not. You are choosing to stand in my pat

“Do you think it was fair to kill him without at the very least, giving him something to take with him?” Poseidon asked with his hands crossed.“What do you mean, god of the sea?” Heimdall enquired.“Don’t call me that. I failed to unite the seas of all the heavens. Not only did I fail, I got trapped on this remote planet and would have still been stuck here if not for you. So, I am still just the god of the 2nd Heaven’s seas. I am no universe level god. I am a failure. A trapped failure.”Listening to Poseidon’s words, Heimdall maintained his silence. Uniting the 7 great seas: that had been Poseidon’s lifelong dream. Every origin god had an obsession. Odin’s was his desire and thirst for knowledge; Zeus’ was his unquenchable lust and greed; Ra’s was his search for the ultimate justice, a search that had led him down a path of warped justice. Poseidon’s dream had been to become god of all the seas and reach a fabled realm: the realm of the Universe God. Unfortunately, he had failed.H

“Are you satisfied now?” Heimdall asked. The god whose eyes saw through untruths did not carry the grace that he usually walked with. His clothes were tattered and much of his armour had been shattered. His chest was bruised and his arms were bloodied. His great sword was several feet away from him, embedded deeply into the ground in defeat. The god of the Bifrost looked helplessly at the god who towered over him.“Why didn’t you use the Bifrost?” Poseidon wondered, asking a question of his own instead of answering what he was asked.“For one so wise, you ask a foolish question,” Heimdall replied, berating the god of the sea.“Even in this situation, you are thinking about saving time,” Poseidon muttered, his eyes radiating with praise. While Heimdall and Loki were still gods he will not hesitate to kill, he acknowledged them. They were willing to do anything to achieve their goals, even if it meant going against their own. Even now, Heimdall had not hesitated to deliver himself as a

“Are you okay kid? You seem out of sorts.”1st asked Mane who was lying in a small bed. The young Supreme was in a room that was too small to contain anything else but his bed and a study table. It had no fancy decorations, and its greatest piece of art was the lamp fixed to the wall right above his bed. Mane was currently in a battleship headed to Godking Academy. While the Academy had a direct connection to Planet Celestial and could arrive in Godking immediately, they first had to retrieve a few things from a planet close by and then return to Planet Celestial. It was a mission they had to accomplish before they return for the students. Since Mane was going to be a professor, he was qualified to tag along. Of course, his departure had only been approved because he had whined for days about it, forcing the helpless professors to yield and take him along. “I guess I still cannot believe that I am going to another academy. It seems like it was only yesterday that I was at the Wieldin

“Hahaha! What an arrogant brat!” Tunde laughed uproariously upon hearing Mane’s words. With great ease he pulled out of harm’s way, causing Mane’s attack to smash into the earth below and distort the already barren environment. Chuckles could be heard from the cloaked assassins as well. Clearly, none of them regarded Mane’s words as anything serious.“We saw the video of your fight, yet we dared do what we have done. Did you think that we will have no countermeasures for you?”“Kid. There’s something off about your movements.” 1st commented.“Indeed. You seem disoriented.” 3rd chimed in.“I see. That thing didn’t merely teleport me here. It also messed with my senses. It would have been fine if I wasn’t a Scholar, but since I am, my heightened senses ended up becoming a weakness for me.” Mane analysed calmly. It had been his misconception to believe that these assassins had come for his head so carelessly. Firstly, they had infiltrated the spacecraft he was on, something that could no

“This…is amazing,” Mane’s eyes widened as he took in the sight before him.The young Supreme was seated on Roxanne. The beautiful dark horse had been granted the power of flight by Crystal who had no trouble casting a flight Lease on the lovely beast. While this was not a permanent condition, it would last hours, and that was thanks to Crystal’s expert command over Chaos. Any other person would have been able to cast this Lease for just under a few minutes. Mane was no exception to this. Even if his power was not sealed, he would not be able to use this Lease to liberally. If this Lease was that practical, it would have been popularized.Next to him, Professors Stern and Stanley, and Dean Desmond had smile plastered on their faces as they watched the Supreme’s gobsmacked reaction to the impressive sight before him. Behind the professors were the students, both old and new. While the older students, Kahn, Frost, Bel, and Maia were floating on their own, the new students had to be envel

“What a brilliant welcome,” Poseidon slowly moved towards the teenage looking Zeus and Atlas with a broad smile on his face. The god of the waves floated elegantly upon a bident, his eyes briefly scanning Atlas before finding his brother’s immature figure.“You have grown weak, brother,” Poseidon chuckled as he slowly flew towards his brother.Atlas, who had been on guard since Poseidon’s appearance, frowned upon seeing the god of the waves getting closer to a much weaker Zeus. His figure flashed as he appeared before Zeus, shielding him from the gaze of his own blood brother. “You have fallen low brother. Now, you require the protection of a titan? Hilarious.” Poseidon mocked as he locked eyes with the delicate looking Atlas. “Of course I have fallen. Not only was I betrayed by my own son, but I also almost died. What did you expect will happen when one who is considered as part of the big three of Olympus approaches a fallen god?” Zeus did not mind his brother’s comments.Instead

Days passed and soon it was time for Mane to leave the planet of the Celestial Emperor. Well, he wasn’t the only one leaving. It was time for the professors to return to their academies with their students – both old and new. In front of the portal that could transport them back to their academies, Mane stood with his friends as they bid each other goodbye. Well, something close to that at least. To give them some privacy, the other professors had gone on ahead with the students, standing a few tens of meters away from the Silver Wolves.“Our great Supreme, our captain and leader, the Unbended is finally leaving us. Whatever are we to do?” Abe waved his hands theatrically as he feigned sadness and pain. His words caused Selina and the twins to snicker. Only Aegeus snorted before shooting Abe a deathly stare. As for Mane, he could only smile wryly at Abe’s comments. He didn’t know when it had started since he had been away for so long in the Dreamscape, but Abe had become more easy goi

It took a week for Godking to complete its assignment and soon, Mane was back on Planet Celestial. Walking through the streets of the capital, he noticed that he was receiving a lot of stares. While it wasn’t unusual for people to stare at him given his appearance and his ethereal aura, that was only on Zandor. One could argue that it was because he didn’t look like a Celestial, but that was not accurate either. Since Celestials opened their homes to others who craved entry into the God Academies, they had welcomed several different species into their home world. Mane wasn’t not out of place in this new era, meaning there were definitely staring for another reason.“You have become very popular, young Supreme,” Professor Stern who was walking next to Mane chuckled and said.“Hahaha! The recordings that were taken of you should have spread everywhere by now. Even those who were unable to attend the event know who you are!” Professor Stanley laughed heartily while striking the young Sup

“You are still eating, even after all that happened?” Hildegarde frowned and said. She was looking at the boy who had forcefully taken her with him when he was returning to his realm with a disapproving gaze. They had escaped that world that had been prepared as his burial place. As though it had never happened, they had returned to the exact spot he had been teleported from – the kitchen. Hildegarde was confused about his current reaction.Seeing him biting onto his tuna sandwich caused her eyebrows to lift in frustration. It was the very same meal that Mane had made and had barely taken a bite of when he was transported to another world. And yes, that was not a dream; it had really happened. She couldn’t understand how the Supreme could be so calm after coming out of a life-or-death situation.“What would you have me do then? Toss it into the trashcan? That would be a waste of food.” Mane answered nonchalantly as he wiped some fish from his cheek.“That…” Hildegarde searched for wor

There were many things that could not be understood in this world, regardless of the amount of logic that one’s mind could process at any given moment, there were things that befuddled even the most brilliant minds. One of such brilliant minds – no, two of these – was staring into the sky full of stars with a torn expression on his face. This man – nay, this god – was the trickster and master shapeshifter, Loki. But he wasn’t alone.“What are you thinking about?”“Many things.”“The great Loki has more than one troubling issue? This is interesting. Odin would have laughed at the absurdity of such a statement; but looking at your expression, it seems to be true.”“It is arrogance to assume that one can solve all one’s problems with one’s mind alone. Why do you think I sought you?”“Isn’t it greater arrogance to presume that two would be enough?”“But its not just two is it? One is the mind of Odin and the other is the mind that Odin sought.”“You say you aren’t arrogant, but you do not

“There really is no one impressive here,” Dragon King Bast stated as his sword sliced through a Noble as easily as cutting through tofu.“I knew he said he will make sure this place is left almost unguarded, but this is incredible,” Captain Hafiz muttered as he watched the disciplined legion of warriors beelining into their path. While he spoke calmly, his rioting aura and the violence being radiated in his eyes showed his eagerness for war.
