An old man whose steps were aided by the crooked staff that held his right arm high, walked slowly onto the scene He was wearing a large kimono that was a mixture of green and white clouds, and his eyes were filled with wisdom. He had a gentle smile on his face, and his demeanour was that of a friendly neighbourhood uncle. Next to him was a peculiar looking man with piercings all over his body. If the former was a man who caused one to feel at peace by merely being there, the latter was one whose presence caused one to be unsettled and fearful. In a way, each one cancelled the effect of the other! These two were Old Fan and Chief Doctor Kaka! They who had disappeared o’er so long ago, much to Mane’s confusion and Hildegarde’s worry, had reappeared! And behind them were Village Head Samoa and his guards! They weren’t the only ones present however, for every single villager that had gone missing was here with them! It didn’t matter if it was the old women who sold fruits and vegetables

“You have placed the entire world in danger,” Asherah snarled as her other eyes went dim. She slumped to the ground helplessly, finding the pain of failing right when success was at the door, quite unbearable. She had been so close. In fact, she had actually succeeded. What she did not expect was that Old Fan and the others would appear at the end and undo all her hard work. “Don’t worry. You aren’t going to die. We need you alive so that our king can deal with you as he sees fit, betrayer.” Chief Doctor Kaka smiled broadly and approached Asherah. Then just like he did for Pazuzu, he consumed the lives of some of the Wind Demons and healed those seemingly irreparable damages that Asherah had accrued. “As our former queen, you cannot just go around dying on your own. You ought to stay alive, so that you can watch our king return to the world in power and in splendour.” Chief Doctor Kaka cackled like a mad man. Pathfinder’s response to his Ancestor’s command was immediate action. His body dispersed into mist and coalesced in the middle of the Wind Demons. His eyes, as red as Magma his son’s, pierced through the bodies of the first few Wind Demons that met his gaze, and they froze in their tracks. This wasn’t due to fear, for these Wind Demons had been present even before Pathfinder was born, and they had fought against actual gods and kept their lives. No, this was the power of oppression. This was the power contained within the gaze of a man who regarded life as a mere tool to be used and discarded when its purpose was no longer grandiose. Pathfinder dashed forward at a speed that could not be followed by the human eye. He moved like an articulator truck, flattening everything in his path. Two Wind Demons that stood in his way faced his wrath although they were not the reason for it, and their head were wrung cleanly off their necks and tossed aside with the disdain of a rich man towards the slums. The three Wind Demons that had captured Pathfinder’s attention, and whose attention he too had captured, merely watched his charge without a change in their expressions. With a massive boom and a loud blast that could only be matched by the deafening yet chaotic sound of a nuclear missile, an axe as large as – if not larger than – Pathfinder, appeared in his hand. The axe was as red as the crimson of his eyes, and its blade dripped with blood as though it was a conduit for a bloody stream. In battle, momentum was very important. For it was momentum that birthed morale, and morale birthed courage while instilling fear in the heart of opponents. While for certain enemies, instilling fear was impossible, the effect of an increased morale could not be negated. People did things that they would not have done otherwise when they were chockfull of courage and emptied of fear. They took risks they would not even think about on a normal day. Wind Demons were foes that did not know fear. They who had served underneath the banner of the Wind Demon King had fought against the strongest of beings Cree had to offer. Pathfinder was not enough to bring them to their knees in fear; however, that did not matter when the person in question had lost all inhibitions due to the momentum he had built up. The smile on Pathfinder’s face and the fire that he was surprisingly able to control, had put him in a great spot, and he was brimming with confidence right now.*Boom*Pathfinder dashed forw

“Insane B*st*rd” the female Wind Demon cursed silently. She saw through his intentions as swiftly as a hare bolted from the arms of a predator. She could not help but be surprised by Pathfinder’s decision, given that this was not something that the normal person would do – or even try to attempt for that matter.“Barbarians are indeed as crazy as they say they are,” she mumbled silently as he eyes glowed bright green. The elements of wind baptised her in their love, causing the cloak that she had summoned from the strength of these very same elements to shimmer brighter than it had all this while. Surprisingly, even after seeing through Pathfinder’s intentions, she did not retreat.
