Red Rose moved with the momentum of bulldozer, mowing down any and everything that stood in her path. In less than three minutes, she had taken care of five ore Blood Golems, bringing her winning streak up to eight. While it was true that the Blood Golems technically possessed the strength of a Barbarian Ancestor, they did not have the battle experience or skill to use that kind of strength to its utmost. This may be because they were controlled by a Necromancer who knew nothing about close combat techniques, but they really were poor at utilizing their strength. This made it much easier to handle them than Red Rose had initially thought it would be. For if they truly could utilize all the power at their disposal, she would have had a much harder time handling their attacks.Unfortunately for the Barbarian Primogenitor, while it was true that they did not have the battle power of the Barbarian Ancestors, the Blood Golems had a structure similar to that of a high-grade mineral used to
The two Blood Golems that had been destroyed healed rapidly, displaying regenerative abilities that even gods would envy. In less than a couple of seconds, even the one that had been blown into tiny little pieces by the wind cube was fully restored and rushing towards Red Rose. It pulled back its large arm and without any hesitation, struck a powerful blow towards the Barbarian Primogenitor.Red Rose’s eyes flashed coldly as the Blood Golem flew towards her. The attack pattern of the creature was simple and easy to evade, and even in her current condition, it would not be a problem to get away from its clutches; however, when she tried to move, she realized that there was something holding on to her. Rolling her eyes downwards, she saw the reason for her immobilization. When the wind cube had exploded upon her, Red Rose had borrowed the momentum of the attack to crush the core of the impregnable golem she had trapped beneath her feet. Unfortunately, what seemed like a good idea then,
Blood Golems were annoying enemies to handle. This was especially true because they were born of the dark hands of necromancy; however, everything had a flaw, and there was nothing that was of this world that did not have a weakness. The Blood Golems were no different.Just by seeing them regenerating once, Red Rose was able to discern their mechanism of regeneration. When the two Blood Golems had been destroyed, the Barbarian Primogenitor realized something. The bodies of the crushed Blood Golems didn’t simply come together. While both were destroyed differently, the way they regenerated was the same. For the one that had been destroyed by the wind cube, it had been reduced to minute fragments that could have easily been carried by the wind; yet it was still able to resurrect. What had regenerated first was its core, and the pieces that made it a living Undead came together around the core to give it life once more. The second had been destroyed by Red Rose herself, but it had healed
“Did I mess with him a bit too much?” Red Rose wondered as small beads of sweat filled her forehead. She sported a wry smile as she watched the Blood Golems fragment into chunks of rock and blood and merge into one whole. Before her eyes, a large Blood Golem that was over 8 meters tall was formed! While it was much larger than the others, its size was not the only thing that had changed. The aura it exuded was strong and noteworthy. Red Rose could feel her spine tingling when she locked gazes with that thing, and even without throwing any blows, she was sure that this thing was stronger than her – and it was stronger by quite a margin. As if that was not enough, Village Head Samoa was watching her with hungry eyes in the distance. He was certainly still a threat.“Do you want to concede now or you’d rather I tear you from limb to limb first. Either way, I would still have you as my subject before the sun sets.” Chief Priest Kaka was arrogant in his declaration, but he had every right
The Blood King moved swiftly. Although it was several meters tall, it moved with the speed of a wind wielder at the peak of his process. In one simple leap, it was before Destiny and Red Rose, its sword arm swinging towards the two in a sweeping move that sought to take both out at the same time!*Whoooo*The wind pressure generated by the sword slash was akin to the forceful howl of a raging tornado. The winds tore at the ground and created several lacerations in the earth. The wind was so strong that a house would have been uprooted quite easily if it stood in its path; yet neither Destiny nor Red Rose was moved by the strong wind. Though the debris stung their eyes, those orbs remained opened and focused, their gazes fixed onto the sword that sought their lives. The two stood silently, unperturbed by the noise that drowned everything and crushed drums of the ear. It was not until the powerful blade was only a meter away from them that they moved.*Boom*The two moved at the same ti
Destiny moved at a speed that was difficult to follow. His feet were as deft as the boots of the wind itself, and even one famous for his speed like Hermes of the 2nd Heaven would have been surprised by what he was seeing. Even though he was not using any inner energy, with his outer energy alone, he had strengthened his physical body to the extent that running at such high speeds did not cause any detriment to him. The only one who was affected by his speed was his enemy. If this were any other foe, Destiny’s speed would have already settled the contest, but his foe was a creature that was neither dead nor alive. The Blood King was faster and stronger than the Blood Golems that came before it, and its movements were akin to that of a rampaging beast that was present everywhere. Such was its speed that while it was that large, it was difficult to tell where exactly it was because it could show up at any place. Due to this, it was more than able to keep up with Destiny; it was faster t
The Blood King was sent flying backwards by the powerful strike, its formerly compact chest sporting a new crack where Destiny had struck it. Unlike when it was sent flying the first time, its retreat was not as lengthy, for it recovered quickly enough to save itself the embarrassment of running a few kilometres to get back; however, its owner was unhappy with its performance.Looking at the new injury on the Blood King’s chest, Chief Priest Kaka could not help but frown in annoyance. While the Blood King’s regenerative abilities meant that the crack would disappear in no time – and it actually had in the few seconds that it took to replant its feet upon the surface of the earth once more – the fact that something that had been summoned with most of his power was getting knocked around like a ragdoll left a bitter taste in the Necromancer’s mouth. While he acknowledged that the Bood King was this unreliable because he as the owner had to little combat experience to pass over to the cr
*BOOM*Like a cannon ball splintering the mast of a large ship, Red Rose crashed into her opponent with the strength of a million mammoths. So brutal was her charge that the sky quaked and space itself feared for its continued existence. Her breath shook the world as she was engulfed in the delight of war, and her aura served as the crown that displayed her majesty. Her rival was no slouch either. His fists were as solid as hers although he was no Barbarian, and while he did rely on the strength of the earth elements to achieve this, it mattered not. That was his talent and right, just as it was Red Rose’s talent and right to apply her mind and body to battle – even if it meant doing something other Barbarians did not know how to do.Yes, the arrogant barbarian, one who belonged to a manmade race which disdained the use of techniques and focused on applying only themselves to battle, used a technique herself. A race that was considered too dull to study the complexities involved manip
