Book I Complete!
Hello faithful readers. How do you do? I have been incognito for a while due to some hardware issues with my computer but I have found a way around that thanks to God. I am sorry for letting you all down and hope that wouldn't happen again. Now that I have that out of the way, there is an announcement to make.
I am here to inform you that Book 1 of Hunters: The Prequel - Hunter Hunted - is over. And Book 2 begins today!Book 2 explores the gaps left behind jn Book 1 and hopes to set the stage for Mane's return to the True Universe. And this means our little Supreme would have to bear with the Dreamscape Universe for a little while more.So enjoy the first chapter of Book 2: War. I wish you the very best. Mane was unaware of Ancestor Origin’s – nay, the Origin King’s – resurrection. The old man was like a leech and it seemed that killing him wasn’t enough. Anyway, it wasn’t the young Supreme’s current concern. Right now, sleep was far more important. He slept peacefully, like a man worn out after a long and tiring trip. But to be fair, he had experienced much in the last hour or two So his slumber made sense.Crystal was almost at Amalgamation by now. The journey should have been much shorter, but the new topography of the land made traversing it much more difficult. For there were craters everywhere. Mane had no idea how long he slept. But he knew that it was a long slumber. For the Supreme was accompanied throughout his rest. Mane dreamt of many things. He dreamt of Zandor, his home. During that period of time, the young Supreme remained in the same bed, constantly under the care and protection of the same people each and every day. Mane’s leap was daring, yet when one considered that he was a Body Wielding Noble, it seemed like humility to leap from a tower that didn’t reach past the confines of the atmosphere. The wind pressure alone should have been enough to ruffle his clothes, yet Mane’s attire remained as it was. His clothes defied the laws of physics and moved freely in the wind, almost like Mane was taking a casual stroll through the neighborhood.Down below, the mouths of many of the workers were agape in shock. She sighed painfully when she saw how much damage the land had accrued. And though this wasn’t the land of her people, it didn’t mean that she couldn’t sympathize with the Elementals. For though the land of the Ancients had faced its own share of devastation, it couldn’t compare with what she was seeing here.“Being close to the source of the destruction surely didn’t help,” the old lady sighed and lightly tapped her cane on to the ground. Like a seasoned weaver Mane moved his arms around and intricately dictated the paths of every earth granule in his presence. And they obliged his call. Every single person, from young to old and old to even older, marveled at what they saw and were amazed by the power of the young Supreme. Mane floated freely in the air. With his mastery of wind, he didn’t have to put much effort into achieving weightlessness. As he breezed past, every single grain of sand and piece of broken earth – every single slab – he dislodged in his battle with Shiva was uprooted and put back into place.
