“Strange fellow” one of the new entries commented as he dusted himself. The other who was just getting up agreed with his partner’s assessment, “Yes”. They could feel the energy of the young boy. It was only at the 6th level of the above-mortal realm; yet he had dealt with profound realmers and even killed them. Although they were mostly unharmed by the earth mines, they felt the power of the sneaky little trap. If they were a bit slower to protect themselves or even a few levels weaker, they would have been done in. “Don’t underestimate him” one of the men warned. The other only nodded his head in response. There was no way he would underestimate someone who was so tricky.
There was no visible change around Abe after he activated his glow, but that was only on the outside. He could feel his connection to the earth elements grow stronger than it was before. They felt like family. It was almost as if he could pull them
Dust covered the previously clear battlefield. Nothing was as obvious as it was before. The two profound wielders couldn’t see each other; they could only feel their presence by listening to the rhythm of their breathing. They closed their eyes for the previously vital organ was a mere burden under the current circumstances. With their eyes closed and their senses heightened to the utmost, they slowly parted ways, each one choosing a different path with impressive coordination. This was amazing to witness because although they both had their eyes closed, they understood what needed to be done. They had clearly been partners for much longer.Abe sat with his eyes closed as he slowly gathered inner energy. His glow had been deactivated, and he was using this time to recover some of his strength. He was injured. And his injury had reduced his battle ability to about 75%.“They have separated” Abe analysed as he sat within the dusty dome. The best way to
Abe gasped for breath loudly. He was exhausted. The sneak attack had stolen much of his inner energy and aggravated his wounds. But even under such conditions he didn’t dare blink his eyes. There was one more enemy left – a dreaded fire wielder. The man looked at Abe with a chilling stare as he held onto the corpse of his friend. By now Abe was very aware that the two were more than just work partners. They shared a bond that the previous group did not.“This cannot be good for me” the young Prince lamented when the fire wielder’s gaze looked onto his. There was fury in those eyes. Unhidden, unbridled fury that threatened to consume him. “What else did he expect? It’s not like I could wait calmly for them to kill me.” Abe murmured with tired eyes.“Rest well, old friend. I’m bringing the culprit to you. You would be able to consume his soul when he arrives in the realm of the dead.” The fire wielder grim
*Bam**Bam**Bam**Bam**Bam**Bam*The furious fire wielder kept pounding away on the charred flesh of the fallen prince. Abe’s body had stopped showing any signs of life, yet the angry fire wielder wasn’t done venting his frustrations. The armor that once shielded the prized body of the Western Empire’s Prince had long withdrawn and returned to its dormant form as a harmless bracelet. Since Abe wasn’t feeding it any inner energy, their bargain was ended. Due to its surrender, Abe’s body was no longer protected from the fiery flames that had long threatened to consume him. His body was burnt beyond recognition and any who knew the young boy – his father included – would be hard pressed to identify him.“Hah-hah-hah-hah” the enemy wielder panted as he finally ceased his maniacal abuse of a corpse. He took one last look at the boy who had taken the life of his friend and set the boy
*Bam**Bam**Bam**Bam**Bam*The sounds that resounded were akin to the constant beating of a drum. However it wasn’t a drum that was being beaten, but a man. The fire wielder coughed up blood as he was sent flying into the dome for the nth time. As for how many times he had been smacked against the earth structure, he didn’t know. But he was certain that he had hit every single area of the dome. He had several broken ribs, and his body was harboring several internal injuries. Although he was severely injured, his vision hadn’t failed him yet. He watched as the culprit for his misery walked leisurely towards him. His thigh bones had been broken in the recent barrage. He landed on his legs from an impressive height and unfortunately didn’t have any inner energy to cushion his landing. He could only kneel in pain as Abe approached him.“I should have killed you earlier” the fallen fire wielder remarked when
Mane dashed towards the direction he could feel the incoming auras from. Abelard was annoyed with his friend, but he wasn’t far behind either. Both of them left blurs as their small figures rushed towards the new threat.“Isn’t it an overkill to send so many of us after an unknown enemy” a black haired man asked whilst running through the huge forest. Behind him were 25 profound wielders with the least of them in the late stages of the profound realm. He himself was an earth wielder at the peak of the early stages – he was a 3rd stage earth realmer. However, he wasn’t the only earth realmer here. There were to others who were earth wielders as well. And one of these wielders was at the peak of the earth realm!“It is because the enemy is unknown that so many of us have been sent. We have already lost five profound wielders. This time Master wants complete success, which is why we are here” A brown
In less than a minute, the 25 profound wielders were reduced to less than ten men, and Mane and Abelard didn’t even look exhausted. They breezed their way through the battlefield as though it was an amusement park and felt no pity for their enemies. But Mane had his brows furrowed. After he killed another wielder, he flung his sword towards an approaching profound wielder and ended the man’s life. However once he flung his sword, he ducked to avoid the sneaky blow that was heading his way. He leapt backwards and sent his elbow crashing into the midsection of the shadowy figure that thought it could reap some benefits from the chaotic battlefield. He then held the arm of the assassin and pried the strange looking dagger out of his hand. He expressionlessly stabbed the dagger into the man’s shoulder and then held him by the neck.“You should wait your turn” he stated coldly and threw the assassin deeper into the forest. The unfortunate man struck s
Mane calmly walked towards the peak 9th stage earth wielder. He didn’t look tense at all. It wasn’t because he had the ability to easily take on peak earth wielders, but because the man he was facing didn’t have the battle prowess of a true peak stage earth wielder. He didn’t even need to use spirit scan on the man. He could easily tell from the fluctuations of energy the man was giving that although he had a large pool of inner energy, his true battle prowess was merely at the peak of the 6th stage of the earth realm. If he was a Celestial, Mane wouldn’t be confident in taking him on. But he was a merely a Zandorian who had gotten his hands on power he didn’t understand. As Mane drew closer to his opponent, he Abe’s figure brushed past him in a blur and descended mightily upon the 3rd stage earth wielder. Just when the leader (the 9th stage earth wielder) was about to intercept Abe’s charge,
“True Hubris” Abe finally activated his only breath. His opponent was tricky. Although Abe was stronger, the man he was facing had good reflexes. Abe wasn’t sure how, but the man seemed to be capable of predicting his moves. Although Abe had landed a few good blows and avoided most of his opponent’s attacks, he was getting frustrated. He reckoned that Mane was done by now. If his captain wasn’t done yet, Abe was confident the blond boy would finish soon. He didn’t want to be outdone.Once he activated his breath his eyes became brighter. They were filled with pride and the dignity of a ruler. Other than that, there was no observable change. Many people wouldn’t even have noticed the change in Abe’s eyes. But the man Abe was facing wasn’t an ‘average’ person. He was able to discern what many wouldn’t.Abe disappeared from the man’s view, reappearing right behind him. The man’s expression
“This…is amazing,” Mane’s eyes widened as he took in the sight before him.The young Supreme was seated on Roxanne. The beautiful dark horse had been granted the power of flight by Crystal who had no trouble casting a flight Lease on the lovely beast. While this was not a permanent condition, it would last hours, and that was thanks to Crystal’s expert command over Chaos. Any other person would have been able to cast this Lease for just under a few minutes. Mane was no exception to this. Even if his power was not sealed, he would not be able to use this Lease to liberally. If this Lease was that practical, it would have been popularized.Next to him, Professors Stern and Stanley, and Dean Desmond had smile plastered on their faces as they watched the Supreme’s gobsmacked reaction to the impressive sight before him. Behind the professors were the students, both old and new. While the older students, Kahn, Frost, Bel, and Maia were floating on their own, the new students had to be envel
“What a brilliant welcome,” Poseidon slowly moved towards the teenage looking Zeus and Atlas with a broad smile on his face. The god of the waves floated elegantly upon a bident, his eyes briefly scanning Atlas before finding his brother’s immature figure.“You have grown weak, brother,” Poseidon chuckled as he slowly flew towards his brother.Atlas, who had been on guard since Poseidon’s appearance, frowned upon seeing the god of the waves getting closer to a much weaker Zeus. His figure flashed as he appeared before Zeus, shielding him from the gaze of his own blood brother. “You have fallen low brother. Now, you require the protection of a titan? Hilarious.” Poseidon mocked as he locked eyes with the delicate looking Atlas. “Of course I have fallen. Not only was I betrayed by my own son, but I also almost died. What did you expect will happen when one who is considered as part of the big three of Olympus approaches a fallen god?” Zeus did not mind his brother’s comments.Instead
Days passed and soon it was time for Mane to leave the planet of the Celestial Emperor. Well, he wasn’t the only one leaving. It was time for the professors to return to their academies with their students – both old and new. In front of the portal that could transport them back to their academies, Mane stood with his friends as they bid each other goodbye. Well, something close to that at least. To give them some privacy, the other professors had gone on ahead with the students, standing a few tens of meters away from the Silver Wolves.“Our great Supreme, our captain and leader, the Unbended is finally leaving us. Whatever are we to do?” Abe waved his hands theatrically as he feigned sadness and pain. His words caused Selina and the twins to snicker. Only Aegeus snorted before shooting Abe a deathly stare. As for Mane, he could only smile wryly at Abe’s comments. He didn’t know when it had started since he had been away for so long in the Dreamscape, but Abe had become more easy goi
It took a week for Godking to complete its assignment and soon, Mane was back on Planet Celestial. Walking through the streets of the capital, he noticed that he was receiving a lot of stares. While it wasn’t unusual for people to stare at him given his appearance and his ethereal aura, that was only on Zandor. One could argue that it was because he didn’t look like a Celestial, but that was not accurate either. Since Celestials opened their homes to others who craved entry into the God Academies, they had welcomed several different species into their home world. Mane wasn’t not out of place in this new era, meaning there were definitely staring for another reason.“You have become very popular, young Supreme,” Professor Stern who was walking next to Mane chuckled and said.“Hahaha! The recordings that were taken of you should have spread everywhere by now. Even those who were unable to attend the event know who you are!” Professor Stanley laughed heartily while striking the young Sup
“You are still eating, even after all that happened?” Hildegarde frowned and said. She was looking at the boy who had forcefully taken her with him when he was returning to his realm with a disapproving gaze. They had escaped that world that had been prepared as his burial place. As though it had never happened, they had returned to the exact spot he had been teleported from – the kitchen. Hildegarde was confused about his current reaction.Seeing him biting onto his tuna sandwich caused her eyebrows to lift in frustration. It was the very same meal that Mane had made and had barely taken a bite of when he was transported to another world. And yes, that was not a dream; it had really happened. She couldn’t understand how the Supreme could be so calm after coming out of a life-or-death situation.“What would you have me do then? Toss it into the trashcan? That would be a waste of food.” Mane answered nonchalantly as he wiped some fish from his cheek.“That…” Hildegarde searched for wor
There were many things that could not be understood in this world, regardless of the amount of logic that one’s mind could process at any given moment, there were things that befuddled even the most brilliant minds. One of such brilliant minds – no, two of these – was staring into the sky full of stars with a torn expression on his face. This man – nay, this god – was the trickster and master shapeshifter, Loki. But he wasn’t alone.“What are you thinking about?”“Many things.”“The great Loki has more than one troubling issue? This is interesting. Odin would have laughed at the absurdity of such a statement; but looking at your expression, it seems to be true.”“It is arrogance to assume that one can solve all one’s problems with one’s mind alone. Why do you think I sought you?”“Isn’t it greater arrogance to presume that two would be enough?”“But its not just two is it? One is the mind of Odin and the other is the mind that Odin sought.”“You say you aren’t arrogant, but you do not
He moved quickly, his feet gliding across the floor soundlessly as he reached the Earth Realmer’s unguarded back. He opened his mouth and spat out a dagger, sending it flying towards the neck of his enemy. Before he was spotted by one of the Profound Realmers, his dagger had already pierced the Earth Realmer’s neck, and the latter was grasping at his neck furiously, almost like he could seal the hole and return his blood to his body by doing so.“Intru-“*Puchi*Dan swiftly waved his hands, changing the direction of his dagger and sending it flying into the neck of the Profound Realmer who had tried to sell him out. As he did so he was already sweeping his foot towards the abdomen of another enemy.*Boom*The stunned guard was sent flying into the wall and coughing up blood before he could fully understand what was going on. By this time, the last guard had finally caught up. He dashed towards Dan quickly, drawing his sword in the process. Without any hesitation he swung his blade at
“There really is no one impressive here,” Dragon King Bast stated as his sword sliced through a Noble as easily as cutting through tofu.“I knew he said he will make sure this place is left almost unguarded, but this is incredible,” Captain Hafiz muttered as he watched the disciplined legion of warriors beelining into their path. While he spoke calmly, his rioting aura and the violence being radiated in his eyes showed his eagerness for war. He was not the only one expressing such deathly intent. Every member of the Sun Squad was ready to go wild, their eyes gleaming just as dangerously as their captain.“Why are you people talking so much. Let’s fight!” Monkey King Hanuman roared out and jumped towards the approaching legion. While the others were a bit taken aback that there were none of the Skies here to face them, Monkey King Hanuman didn’t care about that. Last he remembered, several of the Skies had died on his planet, leaving only the strongest behind. Since Loki said he would
Back in the Dreamscape Universe, there was a war raging. While it wasn’t overt, citizens in every world could feel that the drums of war had been brought out. They had not been embroiled in chaos yet, but they knew that soon the drum beaters will strike down, announcing the start of another war, and this world would fall into disorder again. The one who stood at the centre of this war were preparing in their own right. Within the camp of ‘good’, Loki, Ananse, and Zica, gathered allies. So far they had attracted the likes of the Barbarian Primogenitor, Red Rose, and some of the Barbarian Ancestors. Destiny and Pathfinder were here along with a few other unknown ancestors. As if that wasn’t enough, the Barbarian Lord, Magma, and his Flames, had also escaped the confines of their home to join this war. They weren’t the only ones that had stepped up though. The Elementals had not hesitated to send their best as well. Ancestor Spector had arrived with a few other ancestors from Amalgamatio
