...Sienna POV...I went home frustrated. I really don't know what I was expecting, but I guess I was hoping to see the Reaper when I was there. I can't explain my inner desire to cross paths with him again. He had this sort of aura that I found myself drawn to. The only place I knew where to find him was at the fight club. So to find out from Ace that it was unlikely to see him again, I felt a bit deflated. However, a thought came to mind. Something Ace had said began to ring loud in my mind. If I can't find the Reaper myself, then I'll have him come to me. From what I did know, the Reaper owned the fight club, and Ace seemed to be the one that managed it. But what would draw the Reaper out? I began to pace my room when it suddenly dawned on me. I would smoke him out. I was certain that Ace would've already told the Reaper of my sudden appearance. Any security breach like that would warrant a call to the boss. So what if there were a few more isolated events?I surpassed a laugh as
"Care to explain where you were?" Zander asks, getting straight to the point."I don't know what you mean." I state, hoping to end this conversation. I walk over to my dresser, grab a pair of pyjamas, and put the shirt on over my towel. I then pull the pants up from under my towel. Once I'm fully clothed, I pull the towel away and walk back to my bathroom to hang it up."Sienna. Stop. We're being serious. Where were you?" Kieran asks, walking over to me."I don't have to tell you anything." I state a bit too firmly. I didn't realize how much the Reaper's lack of appearance had gotten to me. I was taking my frustrations out on my brothers, and they didn't deserve that."You're right. You don't have to tell us. We just wish you would. We just want what's best for you." Zander replies, coming over to sit down next to me. I look him in the eye and see the concern coming from him. I look away, unable to stay under his gaze. I can see he truly means well, but the more I look at him, the gui
...ACE POV...I was beyond frustrated. I had spent the entire day setting up the new security system Hunter had requested. I was a boxer, not a tech nerd. I didn't know a single thing about any of this. But Hunter wanted it, so I had no choice but to oblige. This is why I spent the day verifying their qualifications while also performing background checks and security checks on each member assigned to set up the system. We couldn't have just anyone enter the premises. It was a paperwork nightmare that Hunter had so kindly slapped me with. I knew he was getting back at me for Sienna. He was pissed that she had managed to enter the premises without him knowing. But mostly, I think he was worried about her. He never confirmed it, but he neither denied it. It was clear as day that he took a liking to her. No one else would ever get away with challenging him and live to tell the tale. I had to admit, I was upset, as I had set my eyes on Sienna first. I had hoped that I could work on getti
...HUNTER POV...The plane had just landed in New York when I got the call from Ace."Ace, what is it now? Do you know what time it is?" I ask, annoyed that he's calling me right now.It had only been a few hours since we last talked, and everything was going well. He was going on about the new top-of-the-line security system he had installed. We would know right away if someone tried to enter without authorization."I just want it on the record that I did everything I could and don't want to die." Ace started, making me even more annoyed."Whether you live or die is yet to be determined. I better not hear something I won't like." I say, knowing he would understand the underlying threat. When the line remains silent, I curse myself knowing that whatever Ace has to say is going to be nothing but bad news."Spit it out. I don't have all night. What happened?" I ask, demanding answers."It was Sienna." Ace began, making the storm inside me increase in fortitude."What about her?" I grit
...Sienna POV...Just like the night before, I found myself fighting against the twins. In just a short few days, I had already improved. I found myself better at anticipating their movements while also learning how to apply more impact to each of my punches. This time I was fighting Zander as Kieran watched over us, commenting on areas of improvement. I found myself excited for tonight. Even though the fighters were all sub-par at best, I enjoyed the challenge. I wasn't familiar with their fighting styles, so it felt more real than sparring against my brothers. They had trained me, so I knew how they moved. But with a stranger, their moves were unique to them. Going against them helped me to become a better fighter, as I was getting good at learning each of their styles. I mostly found that tactical skill was never their forte. Rather, they all seemed to use strength as their weapon. While this wasn't a bad thing, it wasn't a good thing either, as it meant that, like my fight agains
I parked in the same place as last night. I grabbed my tablet, looking over the surveillance footage. I had set up a hack last night when I was here, so I could easily get in tonight. I knew I couldn't play around with the power, so instead, I decided to be a bit more creative. I could see from the feeds that there were a lot more security guards here tonight. Ace really upped his game. Too bad for him that security is my family name, so there was no such thing as an unbeatable system. I hope Hunter doesn't take out his aggression on Ace. He really is a good guy. In a way, he reminds me of the fun uncle. The family member that tries hard to never have to discipline anyone while being the one we all go to when we want to do something fun. So seeing him being all commanding and authoritative only puts a smile on my face. I know he's trying hard. It just doesn't work on me.I grab some footage from the internet of someone trying to break into a building. I then edited the footage to make
...Hunter POV...I heard from Silvio that there appeared to be an attempted break-in. Thankfully from our security feeds, we were able to find out about it right away. Most of my guards had responded to the break-in, as they weren't needed on the other floors. Silvio had shown me how to use the equipment, so I was able to watch as my men cornered the burglar. However, something seemed out of place. As the burglar was directly in front of them, however, none of my men seemed to be making an effort to capture him.I furrowed my brows in confusion as I watched the man disappear altogether."¿Qué en el mundo?" What in the world? I said out loud to no one in particular. Suddenly a loud announcement caught my attention. I figured it was the announcer informing us of the next fight. I looked out the window from my office to see non-other than Sienna standing there proudly. "¿Cómo lo hizo?" How did she do it? Wondering how she managed to sneak in once again without any of my men noticing. No
...Sienna POV...I continued to go in and out of consciousness as we made our way to our destination. I knew I should be worried about being carried away by a stranger. But for whatever reason, I wasn't. I felt safe in his arms. A feeling I knew I shouldn't have from someone I barely know, but I couldn't deny the way my body reacted to him. I knew from those around that the Reaper was bad news. No one is given the reputation of a Reaper for good reasons. And yet, here I was, relaxed as ever, knowing that he would take care of me.The car slowed, and I saw the familiar house appear in the distance. This must be his house. I never really got the chance to ask before, as I was too focused on getting out of there. My eyes began to flutter closed as the car came to a stop. I felt the Reaper cradle me closer to his chest, allowing my head to lean against his heart. I felt myself drift asleep from the soothing sound of his heartbeat. I woke up shortly after in an unfamiliar room. This wasn'
