CHAPTER FIVE

LILLIAN'S POV

I'm driving to the location where Tami and her brother are suppose to meet me, sunflower by post malone ft swae-lee, blasting through the radio speakers. I can't believe I'm actually doing this, despite my calm exterior I'm really freaking out right now. I mean there are so many ways in which this could go wrong but still Tami has been there for me whenever i need her no questions asked so i owe her this much at least. I continue to my destination following the gps.

Everything has already been set up for Isaac to come stay with me we spent the entire week planning out our strategy and going over what should be done. Isaac is going to be picked up by a bus owned by the camp at 7:00, its now 6:00. Tami hired a few guys to grab Isaac on his way to the camp making it look like a kidnapping and then she'll pick him up and bring him to where I'm going. Not wanting me to be in too deep incase things went sideways, i didn't meet the guys she hired nor do i know the location she'll meet them, which is totally fine by me. All i know is she'll pick issac up and bring him to me.

I reach my destination noting its quite a ways from the main road since i had to turn off the road unto a path that led to a small cabin in the middle of the woods. Taking out the key Tami gave me i opened the door to the cabin, the inside did not share the rugged look the outside has. I step inside taking a look around the small but cozy cabin. After looking around some, satisfying my paranoia that no one was inside i hung my coat up and took a seat on one of the sofas.

Pulling my phone out i sent Tami a text telling her I've arrived, she responded with a simple ok. It was now around six thirty so i had some time before they'd get here. I plugged my earphones in listening to music to pass the time.

I must have fell asleep because i sat up in fright when i hear the loudness of my phone's ringtone. Picking it up i see Tami's number on the screen, i quickly answered

"Hello"

"Cia it's me we're on our way to meet you now"

"Why do you sound so breathless like you just ran a marathon?" I question

"Because i feel like i just did. Listen things didn't go exactly as planned so-"

"What do you mean didn't go exactly as planned?"

"I'll explain everything when i get there just keep an eye out on your surroundings and remember the safe word I'll use at the door"

"Ok, just be careful" i tell her

"I will see you soon" she says before ending the call

I release a sigh placing the phone down beside me. What the hell does she mean by things didn't go as planned. I really hope her parents didn't catch on to us, oh gosh what did i get myself into. I spent so many years in captivity i refuse to go to jail.

About an hour later i hear footsteps coming from the back of the cabin, i wasn't sure if it was Tami or not since i tried calling her back and received no answer, luckily i hadn't opened any windows and i parked my car in the small garage like building out back hiding it from view like Tami told me to so hopefully no one will know I'm here. Nevertheless i slowly made my way to the kitchen picking up a knife, i knew how to fight a little enough to defend myself but that also depends on who or what my opponent is.

Gripping the knife securely i went back to the open space where the living room and dining room was. Down the hall was a small closet, i quietly made my way in there incase whoever is outside decides to come in. My heart was pounding like it wanted to jump out my chest and my breathing was uneven. I tried to stay as calm as possible trying to prepare myself for a fight. A few minutes pass by and i hear three rapid knocks on the front door, it took a few seconds for me to realize that was the first signal Tami and i decided on then i heard her voice yell

"Jellybeans"

I sighed in relief when i heard that and quickly made my way from the closet and towards the front door. Still a bit cautious i slowly open the door to reveal Tami and who i presumed to be her brother issac.

"Oh thank God it's you" i sigh opening the door wider

"Who else did you think it would be" she chuckled

"I don't know you sounded weird on the phone and when i tried calling back you weren't answering"

"Sorry about that i was a bit distracted"

"That's cool am just glad your safe"

I close the door quickly when she and issac came in with a small bag on his shoulders.

"Hi you must be issac, I'm Acacia but you can call me Cia" i say extending my arm

He took my hand hesitantly giving it a small shake.

"So I'll be living with you?" He asks

"Yes, you'll be staying with me, don't worry Tami and i already sorted everything out regarding your stay. You'll be posing as my younger brother from the US"

"Oh"

"So Tami what happened when you called earlier"

"Oh right. As i was saying things didn't go quite as planned there were way more people in the bus that we expected including my parents. We can't stay here long because i have no idea if they managed to follow us despite my efforts to loose them"

"So what are we gonna do now?"

"You and Isaac are gonna go in your car, I expect my mom will be calling me any moment now to tell me what happened so i have to act like i was at home. They'll probably want me to meet them and i know they'll be searching everywhere to find issac so i probably won't be able to meet you guys until a few days has pass"

As Tami tells me all these things i can feel my hands shaking in fear, this is not what i thought would be happening when i requested a week off to help her with this.

"...Cia! Cia did you hear what i said"

"Huh what?"

"I said you guys are gonna have to leave now"

"Ok" i say picking up my purse and pulling on my coat

"I'll go get the car"

I step outside looking around to see if anyone was around then i sprinted to the building out back and quickly got the car. When i drove back to the front of the cabin i heard Tami and Isaac talking.

"Are you sure about this tam you'll be in huge trouble if mom and dad finds out about this"

"I'll be fine Isaac just go with Cia"

"Do you trust her?" He asks

"With my life, no need to worry she'll protect you and I'll come see you in a few days ok"

"Ok just be careful i don't know what I'd do if i lost you"

"You won't loose me I'll be fine" she says pulling him into a hug

They hug for a few minutes before Tami pulls away and walks him to the car. Issac opens the door getting in the back seat which is a great idea incase his parents are anywhere along the road. Tami comes to the drivers side

"I don't know how i can ever repay you for this Cia" she tells me

"You can repay me by being safe"

"I will i promise" she says giving me a hug

"That's all i need, your my best friend and the most important person in my life tam please keep yourself safe and don't worry about Isaac I'll take care of him"

"I know you will and thank you again i really appreciate this"

"No worries"

We say our final goodbyes and i start the drive back down the path i took to come here. I quickly make my way back onto the main road driving briskly towards my apartment.

"You ok back there" i ask Isaac

"Yeah am good" i look in the mirror to see him laying down on the seat

I continue to drive in silence before it became too deafening and i decided to turn the radio on. Music pumps through the radio speakers and i quietly sing along driving down the road. I glance out the window for a second when i see something blur pass me. Thinking it's nothing i ignore it and continue driving, a couple seconds i see the figure again, it looked like something running in the woods that bordered the road.

Suddenly issac sits up with a worried look on his face, he looks behind him and them back at me before saying

"Acacia speed up"

"What?"

"Speed up now the fastest speed the car is able to go"

Sensing the worry in his voice i do as he says pressing on the gas pedal as i sped down the road. The next thing i see scares the living daylights out of me and i almost lost control of the car, a giant wolf is running beside us. I quickly regain my grip on the steering wheel and pressed harder on the gas speeding up.

"Y-you saw that right?" I say to issac

"Yes i did"

"Ok" i sighed glad it wasn't my imagination

I know for a certain that wolf isn't normal infact i know exactly what it is i just didn't think I'd be seeing one ever again and why did hell is it running so open in the day time?

Before i could answer my mental questions the wolf appears again and this time he has company. The both of them taking a side of the car flanking us. I looked over at one of them eyes wide as saucers, he growls at me as if telling me to stop the car but i only drive faster. It too increases its speed and the next thing i know the wolf bangs himself into the side of the car. The car swerves and i quickly grab a hold of it but the wolf on the other side slams himself against the car as well. We swerve again and this time i wasn't able to control the car resulting in us running off the road and crashing into a tree.

My face collides with the airbag and luckily i was wearing my seat belt so i wasn't injured just shaken up.

"Isaac you ok" i groaned turning to look at him

"Yeah i hit my head but I'll be fine" he replies

"What the hell just happened"

"I'll explain everything but as for now we need to go it's not safe here especially for you"

"You mean because were being chased by werewolves"

"Wha- how did you- Tami told you?" He asks

"No she didn't but lets just day I'm woke to the whole supernatural society"

"How? Humans aren't suppose to know about us"

"We'll go over the rules some other time cause they found us" i say pointing towards the wolves surrounding us

Issac and i quickly get out the car as the wolves corner us on all sides. I see Isaac goes down on all fours and in a few seconds there's a huge brown wolf where issac was. He takes a defensive stance in front me snarling at our attackers as they close in on us.

Grabbing my purse i pull out a can of pepper spray holding it up at the wolves, issac gives me a 'really' look. They stop advancing as the one in front shifts and before me now stands a very naked man.

"Hand over the boy and no one gets hurt" the man says

"Who are you"

"Someone you shouldn't cross little human. Now hand the boy over and we won't hurt you"

"You do know this is kidnapping right"

Not that what I'm doing is any different

"This has nothing to do with you or your kind so step away from the pup now"

"No"

"You have no idea what you're getting yourself into" he tries to reason but i can tell he's getting angry

"Listen here wolfy i may be a human who isn't suppose to know about werewolves but i do ok and i know what you guys want to do with issac and I'm not letting it happen"

Shock crosses his face for a second before its replaced by a sinister grin

"I see you know about us"

"And i see your an ass" i retort

"Listen here missy i have neither the time nor the patience to deal with you so move or die" he snarls

"Make me mutt"

He growls when i call him a mutt and charges at me. I scream at issac to run before i grab a piece of metal from the car wreck puncturing my pepper spray canister and the substance inside releases in gas form. My pepper spray isn't the normal one you pick up at the store it's my own special concoction designed to work against wolves and humans alike.

After releasing the mixture of wolvesbane and mistletoe that i had in the canister i hauled ass out of there taking advantage of the small window i created. I caught up to issac who was a good distance away waiting on me back in his human form.

"What did you do?" He asks

"I slowed them down for a bit but we have to go now"

"We can't go back to your apartment they'll find us and we have no car" he says

"Your right what are we gonna do?"

"Maybe i should just go with them then they won't hurt you"

"No! I promised your sister I'd keep you safe and that's exactly what i plan on doing"

"How can you keep me safe you can't fight werewolves"

"True but i do have a few tricks but first we need to get as far away from them as possible"

"I may know somewhere"

"Where"

"It's another pack that's close to here but I'm an outsider and you're a human i don't know if they'll take us in"

"Good point wolves are very territorial"

"You seem to know a lot about us"

"Trust me it wasn't willingly"

"We don't know if this alpha will take us in but we have to try because we cant stay here"

"Ok I'll shift and you get on my back it'll be much faster this way" he tells me

Issac shifts to his wolf form and i carefully get on his back, i hold on to a few patches of his fur being careful not to grip too tight just enough to secure myself. When i was secured he took off at full speed dashing through the woods. The trees pass by us in a blur as issac sprints towards this pack he told me about. I'm really worried because if what Evans told me is true about alpha's hating when outsiders come on their land then there is a ninety percent chance we're gonna die.

Issac continues to run, jumping over fallen branches and dodging obstacles in our way. I hear sounds and i look behind us, i nearly have a heart attack when i see around three of the wolves from earlier chasing us.

"Issac please tell me we're almost there" i say. He gives me a nod with his big wolf head and i reply

"Good because they're after us again and this time I have nothing to stop them"

At this issac pushes himself going even faster than before but despite his speed the wolves are still catching up to us. They get closer and closer til they were close enough to be snapping at my heel. Issac is going as fast as he can but i know he's tired because his speed is slowly decreasing.

"I know your tired issac but they're gaining on us" i yell

I feel him speed up a bit i look ahead of us to see what looks like the top of a building in the distance making me wonder if we've reached the pack he was talking about. As Isaac came closer i see around seven wolves appear in front of us but issac keeps running, the ones chasing us close behind.

The wolves before us took on defensive stances growling threateningly in an effort to stop us, issac however doesn't pay them any attention as he pushes forward with all his strength breaking the line they formed and passing on to their land. He didn't get far however because he collapsed immediately after from exhaustion.

The wolves run up to us growling, the killer looks in their eyes told me this is where I'm going to die. Pulling my self up from under Issac's unconscious form I raise my hand up in surrender.

"Wait please we mean no harm" i say as the wolves gather around me, i also noticed that the ones chasing us had turned back

One of the wolves went behind a tree and shifted, he pulls on a shorts and steps back out glaring at me.

"Who are you?" He asks in a terrifying tone which reminded me why i was so scared of their kind

"I-I'm lil- i mean my name is Acacia and this is my brother Isaac"

He looks at me suspiciously before he sniffs the air, his eyes turned dark with anger as he says

"Lies your a human you can't be related to this pup"

"I- i was adopted by his parents" i say thinking up a quick lie

"Hmm" the man grunts still watching my every move

"What are you doing here, and why were you being chased"

"Our parents were rogues, they left their pack when their alpha refused to accept me and we've been living in neutral areas for all of our lives but four years ago our parents were killed and we've been hunted ever since"

I mentally applaud myself for thinking of such a lie on the spot but then again its nothing new since these are things i had to do growing up under Evans rules. Just like I'd been taught many years ago i kept my breathing even and kept calm so my heart rate is steady so they couldn't pick up on my lie. The man continued to assess me with his cold glare then i saw his eyes got cloudy signalling he was mind linking some one probably their alpha.

"You might be telling the truth or you're just a really good liar however some of my men will take your brother to the infirmary while i take you to see our alpha" he tells me

I nod my head in agreement after all what else could i do, they don't know me and they have every right not to trust me and it's not like i trust them either. Besides, issac and i need them to keep us safe for the time being, hopefully Isaac doesn't wake up before i see their alpha because if they question him which they most likely will it's over for both of us.

Another man walked up to us picking Isaac who was still in his wolf form, up off the ground and placed him on another wolf's back before both of them walk off. The man who's name i still don't know ordered me up and while i didn't like his tone i did as he command. They placed some sort of bag or sack over my head so i couldn't see where i was going before they led me to their alpha They're smart i have to hand it to them.

We walked for i don't even know how long, i presume they led me in circles a few times before actually taking me where we're suppose to go. We continued walking for a bit when i heard what sounded like a car driving up towards us, the car stops and i hear the door open and close before a familiar voice hits my ears.

"Hey Travis what's going on" the person asks

No it couldn't be him, i think its been too long and me being in a place like this makes me think of them and that's why my mind is playing tricks on me

"Hey, this girl here trespassed on our land"

"So why do you have her head covered you should have sent her back"

"I would've except she came here on the back of a wolf and she knows about our kind, apparently the wolf boy is her brother. They were running from some other wolves but they turned back when the two crossed over"

"What!?" The person says in surprise

"I suspect there's more than she's letting on so I'm bringing her to the Alpha"

"I see, can i see who it is?"

"No problem" Travis says pulling the sack off my head

When my eyes landed on the person i knew then and there my mind was not playing tricks on me. I couldn't believe it after all these years i couldn't believe he was standing in front of me.

"Jermaine" i gasp

"Lilly?" He says equally as shocked as i am
