CHAPTER 3

LUNA 

"So, what you mean to say is that there's a rose giving gift happening in our school and it means that the person... I mean, any wolf who will received one meaning, they are in trouble?..." 

Astrielle's face fell as I quench her curiousity about the red rose. 

"That's amazing!.... 대박! (wow!) Awesome!..." 

She can't stop giggling like a child who encountered a magic show for the first time.

"It actually appeared maybe a month after you transferred in our school,  last year." Carline recalled. 

"Really?..." Astrielle asked.

Both Carline and I look at each other then look our focus shifted to Astrielle. We scrutinizes her face,

"Are you involved with this?..." I tried to caught her but she just laughed out loud.

"Do you think my brother will let me do such child plays? Hahahaha he will just let me harvest roses from our farm and sell it in the market  instead of giving it away..." She laugh, again.

She is having trouble putting her seatbelt out of happiness. 

"Freaking seatbelt problems with me..." She shrug her shoulders and look at me feeling frustrated and later, to Carline.

Carline scratches her right ear and helps out our struggling friend,

"Look at you... Still a baby for not knowing how to put on her seatbelt... same thing with one who can't even protect herself from those who are bad mouthing her."

I just look at the window not minding what Carline's words about me.

"You can speak, Korean, Astrielle?..." Carline added.

"Oh, I just heard it from a Korean pup that visited in Casablanca before... hahaha..." Astrielle can't stop laughing because of the issue about the red rose.

"And you look like our concerned  mother... Mommy, Carline... yie!" I teased my friend.

"Tssskkk!... and now you are happy? Minutes ago, you look like a drench chick who is separated from her mother. Don't bother your lost gown. It's ugly anyways... I also talk with the tailor about the new design for you..." Carline gave me a left eye wink.

"You didn't forget my team, right?..." I tried to remind her before it's too late and to lighten the topic because the red rose goblin might target me and my friends we will not stop talking about him. 

The goblin's presence brings advantage to weak pups like me so it's a blessing for me and for the wicked wolves, it's their arch nemesis. The universe indeed is working its own arranging things into its right place. 

"Of course, my memory is still intact and how would I ever forget about it..." Carline meaningfully said and look at me through the review mirror at the front middle top of the car. 

"Let's go home, already... This day is so stressful... I wanted to go for a massage at the Loudor's or maybe New Castle?..." Astrielle can't seem to decide which place she will go to.

"Loudor's a place for us, New Castle will be from Monday onwards so that Wynzlette can also come..." It's Carline who suggested where we will go.

"Okay! your wish, Miss Leonel is my command..." Astrielle rev the ending and we headed to Loudor's.

It's just 10 minutes from the house and near the middle of the woods. We can only go using a pathway because there's no concrete way going through the forest. 

"Let's drop Mom's gown at the house first..." I don't want to get worried about my mother's outfit. 

The one who stole my gown is surely watching me until now. 

"Bueno, let's go..." - Astrielle.

"Gracias, Señorita...." - Me.

"You learned, Spanish?..." - Carline.

My friend look at me,

"Do you wanna work with me and the elders in transcribing our books? Please? It's so boring that I'm just the only young one at work. Be the one writing, atleast?... pretty please?..." she even tried to convince me,

"You will handsomely be rewarded. You can even take my salary. I just need someone to accompany me and keeping me awake... I need someone who can I talk with and someone who can understand me not someone who always tells me to finish transcribing a book in a day. I can ask the elders for me to bring home the work and then, we can work at home or even to your house, instead... Please, Wynzlette..."

"You have been busy transcribing since last year, why did you just ask help from me, now?..." I grouchy said to kid her.

Her face becomes so sour,

"You were too busy avoiding me for almost a year already..." She pouted.

"Don't blame me... If it's okay with the elders then let's do it at home." 

"There's no turning back... I will tell them tomorrow morning." She is happy that is doing stupid dance move. 

She even turn on the stereo and sing with the singer even though her voice is not so good?

Astrielle start singing and Carline stops. She clap her hands and I clap mine too.

"Wow! How come that you are hiding such a powerful voice and amazing talent, Astrielle?" Carline complain.

"Yeah, you should atleast joined the musical club in school, before..." I also uttered. 

Her voice is amazing... just a pure talent.

"We are here..." Astrielle parked the car infront of the house.

I unbuckle my seatbelt. Carline also unbuckle hers and she comes out then open the door for me.

"Thank you..."

The three of us walk going to house. I put Mom's gown inside her room and we go to the kitchen. I arrange the groceries that I buy before we finally go home.

I prepare an apple juice and egg sandwich. We rest for half an hour at home and decided to just run going to Loudor's.

"Let's go from the back door..." I informed the two. 

"We are like sneaking out of the house... We aren't restricted, right?..." Astrielle asked, nonchalantly.

"Aha! It's just that, we are feeling like detectives so we will not be using the front door but the back door. It's where our wolves happiness..." Carline inspect herself and walk towards the backdoor.

Astrielle and I followed. I locked the door and we turn into our wolf form. Astrielle is a white she-wolf, while Carline is gray. Mine is a black with blue eyes. 

Wynzie is so happy that she is awaken again.

"I thought that you will not let me run for few days again, Wynzlette..." She is complaining about me not going into run.

I rolled my eyes. 

Astrielle started to run. Carline follows and I am the last one to run. We meet some members of the pack but they didn't bother that we have a wolf that isn't belong to the pack. They might already smell her from afar even when we are still at home. 

Loudor's is just 10 kilometers away from home that's why were able to arrived at the arch of the famous spa for more than just 10 minutes run. 

We turned into our human form again and we are greeted by the ever regal Divine Loudor. The daughter of the owner. She is a senior and now studying in Vallente.

"Welcome, welcome my juniors... how have you been? What makes you visit our humble spa. Are you stress? Hmmmmmmnnn, let me guess... Something happened earlier..." Divine put her forefinger on her head, weighing our reactions.

"Are you a fortune teller, Miss Divine? I thought you are taking Law... It's your mother who is our Seer elder..." Carline ends what Miss Divine is thinking. 

Astrielle cough and Miss Divine cleared her throat.

"You are really so bold cutting off my imagination, Miss Carline Leonel... If only you aren't Ranjan's cousin..." she blubbers enough to spill about herself having some sort of interest to Carline's cousin.

"Oh... I'm the one who caught you..." Carline whistles and let Miss Divine sit on the couch. 

Astrielle and I settled infront of Miss Divine. We are smiling towards her while Carline is whispering something to her. The two blocked me and Astrielle so we can't read and hear what they are talking about.

"It's unfair... You two are having secrets infront of me..." I pouted and pointing my left and right forefingers.

Miss Divine nodded and she stands up.

"Don't worry, Miss Divine here and I talked that today, we will be their VIP clients because, you..." 

Carline stop talking and went to my back and hug me,

",you should relax for your coming birthday party..." she finished her sentence.

"Let's get you, attended, Young ladies..." 

Miss Divine call one of their servants and she lead us to the top floor of their building. We occupied one room but with three rooms inside. There are already workers who instructed what should we do. They told us to undress so we did and then they gave us towels to cover ourselves as we cleaned our feet and go to the room that we choose. I went to the last room that's facing the north side. 

A woman told me to lay down on the bed with my stomach not the back. She started putting some oil on my back and when she already massage my back I almost fell asleep because of the relaxation that it brings.

I didn't restrain myself from dosing off then a bad dream pops up again,

"You think that you are that powerful to be the Luna?..." 

I can recognize the voice it's Queenie and we are at one of the comfort room of the school. I don't know why I end up with her.

Everytime she step forward, I step back ward.

"Queenie... what are you doing? I didn't do anything to you..." 

She is still coming to me and the she holds my hair so tightly that I feel like the roots are pulled out. 

"Please let me go..." I beg Queenie but she just tightly hold my hair.

"I said let me go!..." My eyes turned blue and then suddenly I am holding her by the neck and then I started struggling her.

Wynzie is laughing and cheering me up. She is taking over my body but it's impossible... I never so her this livid. 

Queenie is patting my hands and she is fighting back but I just hold her more tightly until a voice called me.

"You will kill her... Relax yourself... Don't turn into a monster because of a lowly rank wolf. You are more than that..." 

I loosen my hold to Queenie and she rushing to the door that she forgot to locked. Her accomplice also went with her away. I was left alone. I wash my hand and look at the mirror. I tried to reach the voice who distracted me but I couldn't reach him. 

"Just who are you?..." I whispered and go out of the comfort room.

I heard a loud thud and one of Queenie's friend is lying down the hallway, almost not breathing while looking at me.

"Cursed!... You are cursed..." She whispered and pointed me.

My eyes got wide and I cover my mouth. Wolves are coming towards us and they are saying any bad things about me. 

I woke up almost gasping for air.

I turned to the lady who is massaging me,

"Can I please have a glass of water?..." I politely requested.

She is generous enough to extend me a glass of water. I drink and then rested my head I saw my hands and there's a little trace of scratches but isn't deep. 

I wonder when did I get it then when I remember what I dreamed of about earlier. I almost want to rush home and sleep. Until the massage was finished and even my manicure and pedicure. I am so indulge to what happened in my dream.

What is the meaning of this? Why did I had  scratches my from dream? How in the world did it happened? 

"Wynzlette?... are you listening? You've been acting so fuzzy like the sky this morning..." Carline cut me off from the bubble I created.

"I'm sorry I was just so overwhelmed by the massage that I feel so sleepy..." I reasoned out just for her not to interrogate me further. 

"Then we should go home already so that you can rest or we'll take a nap at your house. We will do a bbq party later so that I will show Doctor Lavender how talented I am when it comes to grilling..." 

Carline's statement hides another meaning. I know that she wants me to tell her what's inside my head.

"I'm not just feeling well..." I honestly told the two.

I feel weak as I woke up from the dream. I feel like it drains my energy too much. I massage my head to wake myself up. 

"Let's go home Wynzlette... You look so pale as a coupon bond..." Astrielle helps me to get a water. 

I drink what she handled me,

"Thank you so much..." 

Few minutes I feel better already.

"You're going home, already?..." Miss Divine ask.

"Yes, Wynzlette needs to rest..." It's, Astrielle who explains.

"We should talk more about my cousin, next time Miss Divine. Don't worry... I like you as a cousin-in-law..." Carline wave her hands

"You turn into your wolf form already while you still have the energy..."

I nod to Astrielle and obey her command. When Wynzie take over. I feel a little bit relax.

My two friends waits for me as I run slowly. Even Wynzie is a little bit weak. I really don't have any idea as why this is happening to me. 

I didn't do anything. I just throttle Queenie in my dream... 

As we approach the house I turn into my human self but I feel so week already that I nearly landed on the floor if only Astrielle didn't catch me. 

Carline open the back door and lead me to my room. She lay me down the bed.

"How are you feeling?... What's happening to you?..." Her voice can't hide her worries.

I hold her hand,

”I'm fine, don't worry... I just got exhausted from today's events..."

"No, I will call your Mom to check up on you..."

I confirmed that I just need a rest and there's no need to call my mother. The hospital needs her and many wolves need her there. I can handle myself.

"Please, I don't want Mom to be worried about me. Besides, I wasn't able to go to her today..."

I forget that I need to go to the hospital because of what happened this morning. 

Carline inspect me and her eyes focused on my hands that's full of scratches.

I hide my hands from her and avoid her gaze.

Astrielle handle me a glass of water that she get downstairs. I feel so much better after I drink the water she gave me. I can feel the lemon and honey with the water but I think that it has magic that my strength is replenished again. 

Carline isn't convinced enough and ask about my scratches.

"Where did you get your scratches, Wynzlette?..."

I play the air inside my mouth and pop it out. I don't know what to tell her. 

I get it through my dream? 

It came as a result of choking Queenie in my dream? 

I really don't know the answer too... 

"I don't know... I just saw it..." I tried to gave her a reason. 

I really saw it and don't know why it happened too. 

"Tsk!... you always hurt yourself... Don't move just yet..." She stop me because I want to get up from the bed.

Astrielle nodded too when I look at her,

"Listen to elders..." She seconded. 

"What can I do?... I'm a patient... So great being a patient a day before your birthday!" I exclaim.

"You did it yourself... We don't even know why did you suddenly almost die after getting a massage... I will leave a review to Loudor's page that they made you almost die..." She even joke at the end.

"I'm just kidding... I meant no harm to my future cousin-in-law..." 

The two leave me alone in my room for me to rest as they ready the ingredients. Carline said that she invited her cousins to join us. 

I hope that the two of my friends will closed their mouth once mother arrive. I really don't want to give her a headache because of unexplainable thing. 

I let out a long long sigh and tried to take a nap. 

I alarm my phone after one hour. It might be enough for me to fully recover before my Mom gets home but I guess I only made myself more weaker. 

A sudden memory pops up...

It's a one Friday evening and my Mom is still at the hospital. I smell someone that's watching from afar. Maybe 2 miles away. They are a group of wolves and they are smiling while looking at me as I look at my window. 

"She should have hide you better... She doesn't really care if we will find you... She failed her promise... She only care about herself and abandon us... Are you feeling happy? We will be back... We will watch you... Remember, we will come for you... not now but you will know it's us from a glance..." 

An epsilon speak after,

"Luna... No... our... Alpha... We will come for you..."

I saw a sudden splash of blood. Lots and lots of bloods. The group suddenly falling down one after the other.

"Always remember us... We will come for you..."

The epsilon was beheaded after spitting the words and a voice suddenly laugh out loud and look at me. 

How come the person in cloak know that I'm looking at the group? I am far away from him. I am inside my room...

"I will be the one who will look for you... and I will  you, like your poor father and mother... just wait for me..." 

I saw a smile from the person wearing a black cloak who killed the group of wolves.

"Mother!...." I scream and woke up.

What the fudge! 

Why did that memory suddenly appears? I am so young back then. I touch my heart as a pain runs through. 

"My father? My mother?..." I whispered confusedly.

I cover my mouth while looking to the picture on my side table. 

It's a picture of me and my mother. We are smiling together while looking at the camera. 

My door suddenly opened and Astrielle and Carline are catching their breath. 

"What happened?..." Carline walk and hug me. 

I just sob because I don't know what to tell her. I don't want to tell them until I will hear the truth from my mom.
