Chapter 83 - Rose

“That concludes my questions.” Mr. Compton grumbled under the gaze of the judge and Adele, who had been the last person in the family to sit down to give her views and, as usual, had been able to make everyone respect her and listen to her orders, even Alphonse's attorney, who certainly didn't soon forget the day a lady that age told him to shut up and practically conducted the questioning itself.

“Now, I understand that Adele Vamcap seems to be the last member of the other part of the Vamcap family who was here today to testify.” Judge Roberts observed, as Adele returned to her seat next to Jullian, “I imagine that concludes the witnesses I brought, Ms. Vamcap?”

“Not really, your honor.” Andy turned to face the lawyers who were accompanying her and quickly one of them got up and practically ran out of the courtroom, leaving not only Rose confused, but everyone else who was present, especially Alphonse's lawyers, who looked n
