"Rubisviel?" the said girl walking out of the building turned around to see who had addressed her and saw her auburn-haired mage friend waving enthusiastically at her after seeing her face. A smile graced her lips as she waved back to her friend.
"Morning, Geneva." she greeted as the mage walked closer to her.
Geneva Violet Bellthorne is the second daughter of the Bellthorne House, one of the richest, most famous, noble families residing in the territory of the Macedonian Empire. Her family is well known for its perfume brand Violet Luxury and other chain brands. They are also well known for their superb fencing techniques that are unparalleled by the other families but Geneva decided to master wrestling, a very curious choice for a lady, and not swordsmanship plus magic. She even studied in the most famous magic school Rubelia Academy and graduated with flying colors.
Ruby didn't have the luxury to be formally educated in magic since only a fellow witch taught her the basics and the more complex once she learned on her own. Nevertheless, it ended with her as one of the most powerful witches in the Butterfly Coven.
"Good morning, what brings you here so early in the morning, darling?" greeted Geneva.
"Business. Heriette got bitten by a Lamia so Phoebus fetched me at 4 in the morning to heal her." The mage nudged her side giving her a teasing look.
"Did he give you a nice horseback ride?" Geneva teased moving her eyebrows up and down.
"Yes, he lifted me on his horse and then climbed behind me, I thought I was going to melt right then and there. His strong arms are wrapped around my waist and he placed his coat over my shoulders. I was blushing so hard Gen." Ruby giggled nudging her as well.
"Well, ain't my little bitchy witch flirting. So you're in base one which is a mysterious visit in the early morning." Gen said conspiratorially. "Base two is a cuddle, base three is a kiss, and home run is..." Geneva winked, making Ruby receive her message clearly.
"I don't play baseball but I'm ready to swing my hips to his bat and hit a home run." Ruby joked and Geneva joined with her giggling.
"Well, that's not impossible cuz you're the cutest witch in here. You two totally have chemistry. He's the mysterious cool guy with a tortured past while you're a little ball of sunshine that brightens up his life. Ohh my God! That's really a clique storyline!"
"That's a really nice thought but I think he likes Leanna and not me. I think he likes stern, tall, big-boobed ladies like her. I can't blame him because Leanna is really nice and cool and smart." Geneva suddenly grabbed her shoulders, immediately stopping her from walking and making her face her.
"Stop that! Don't underestimate yourself by comparing your totally adorable self to that fuschia haired bitch! You may not have big boob sets but you totally have legit ass-sets, which is sexier than Leanna's cuz of your impossibly small waistline. You're also funny, and smart, and sweet, and you make the best tea and coffee in the world that is completely inimitable. You totally rock, Rubabe. And Phoebus is blinder than a potato if he can't see that." Geneva squished the witch into her chest to comfort her which she returned gratefully.
"Thanks, Gen. You're really the best." mumbled Ruby as she unburied her face from her friend's bosom.
"I know. Come, I'll treat you to breakfast and let's catch up on the latest gossip." Geneva pulled away and took her friend's hand in hers.
Geneva took her to a cafe and allowed her to order anything she wants which is automatically blueberry cheesecake and a cup of chamomile tea. Geneva ordered macaroni soup for the both of them saying that a cheesecake with tea is not a substantial meal for the witch's developing body. She ordered some waffles with strawberries for herself as well as some coffee. They chatted while waiting for their meals.
"So, how's business so far? Anyone buying love potion again or is it the usual power potion?" Geneva started taking a sip of her coffee.
"The usual. Poison, beauty products, and blood mead for Marcel and Carmilla. Those two are my only real loyal patrons." Ruby answered looking down at her tea.
"Basically, uneventful. I wish someone would buy another love potion, the last time someone bought one was Shine on Clint but ended up putting it on Mirra the 'perfect elf' who saw a centaur instead and well you know how that ended." Geneva had a lewd smirk on her lips as she reminisce the said even.
"Good for her, I hate that bitch. Feeling all high and mighty because of her bow and being blessed by the "Moon Goddess". Serves her right for being such a whore. She totally humiliated herself by riding that large horse dong." added the mage
"Everybody secretly hates her except for some of the boys I guess, cause they like her loose boobs and flat ass." Ruby smirked. The mage laughed, covering her mouth.
"Oh, Gen. About the War of the 7 Chalices. Do you know if all of the participants are complete already since your mom oversees the whole event? Do you think maybe there's still a chance for me to join in?"
"Oh that thing. The heads of the magic council forced it to be stopped at the night of the summoning. They sealed the cups from manifesting in this world because they found out that the Greater Chalice was corrupted after Lucius used it to summon the 7 Demons of Hell. If one victor emerged to take it, the seven cups will open up to drench the land in hell spawns, which they described to be catastrophic like pouring the hellfire into the world." explained the mage.
"That's so terrible. I could have partaken in that blood bath for nothing. Now I have nowhere to start. What other shitty things could that shitty game have?" Ruby said in frustration.
"Well, you also need to make your familiar commit suicide after killing all the others to complete the sacrifice to the chalices so it's a terrible business. I'm sorry for introducing it to you in the first place. Cheer up, at least you didn't use your magic to summon something that's supposed to serve you that you gotta butcher afterward." Geneva grabbed her hand and rubbed circles on her knuckles to try and comfort her.
"About that. I think I did summon something. Or someone I'm not supposed to." Ruby mouthed shamefully.
Geneva looked around, trying to check if someone was listening in their conversation but when she found no one particularly interested to eavesdrop, she turned back to her friend and leaned closer to speak in a hushed voice.
"How is that possible? They sealed the chalices. Anyway what might his or her name be and class affinity? We need to figure something out because if one slips out it might allow the chalices to manifest and cause havoc." Geneva whispered frantically.
"I don't think that he's involved in the Chalice War. Personally, he doesn't know anything about it because I think he's a demon I summoned or freed from the 13 Circles."
"What?!" exclaimed the mage nearly spilling her tea. A waitress came to their table to lay down their orders and both of them stayed silent waiting for her to finish to continue with their conversation.
When the waitress finished unloading their meals from her tray, the two friends thanked her and proceeded with their stories. "I drew the circle four days ago and did the ritual but halfway through the spell the circle I drew started changing. It turned violet and the symbols I drew changed into something sinister. After the chant, I got thrown against the wall and when I opened up my eyes there he was, a demon straight out of hell. With no memories of his pasts." Ruby narrated looking sorrowful at her hands.
"Oh my God, did he hurt you?"
"No, he was just very rude but he didn't touch a strand of my hair or did anything bad, but he did steal one casket of my elf blood mead. He left the same night after I made him dinner and gave him a map to check the Abyss." Ruby reassured smiling at her friend before taking a sip of her macaroni soup.
"Good to hear. Do you know where he is now?" Geneva inquired, taking a spoon and digging in as well on her soup.
"Well, he came back today at four o'clock and said that he's going to stay in my place for a while. He said that we're bound together because I somehow managed to create a master-servant spell on him and thank the stars I'm the master."
"Well good for you but if he does something bad or acts in a way that you seriously disapprove of like, sexual harassment or anything, give me a call and we'll bust his ass together, okay? Demons are very dangerous even at this age." Geneva said worriedly to her friend.
"What do you call him by the way?"
"I gave him a name. Dyrus Aleister Aspartheon. I think he's a demon way back from the Great War that got blasted down to the 13 Circles or something. He said that he got drenched in the waters of Styx forgetting everything about his past so I told him to go back to Pandora's Chasm where he might remember something from his past but he returned this morning and declared that he's staying with me. So now I don't have a way to break my curse and a useless demon that's going to get me killed if the ministry finds out about him." Ruby puffed her cheek in frustration, looking completely like a child throwing a tantrum.
"It's going to be all right. I'll help you figure something out to finally free you from that curse, and once we do I'm going to take you on a trip down south where they have the best beaches. We're gonna have a spa party in Lapu-Lapu's place and makeover at the Enchanted Forest where we can bitch around elves. Yeah?"
"Of course. I love you so much Geneva, you're the best best friend ever." The witch smiled in reassurance.
"I always got you, Ruby."
The sun rose above the horizon in the gentle comforting warmth of the morning. The birds perched on the tree branches sang songs of the day's glory while wild butterflies flutter playfully in the garden where myriads of flowers unfold their gorgeous petals to showcase to the world. Ruby's eyes slowly opened due to the sunlight passing through her window, rousing her from another wonderful dream with the prince whose face she can't remember. The witch sat up from her bed and checked the time from her bedside clock and saw that
Leanna Venice sat inside a cafe watching the people pass by outside the window. Her phone vibrated in her hand signaling a new text and she instantly opened it to see if it was from the person she was just thinking about. She closed her eyes for a bit, debating whether or not to still check it out if it was really from him or just a spam text from the service provider. She sighed before checking the message, curiosity finally getting to her."Hey sis, since ur out mind buying me and Heriette a piece of cake? Love u"
"Ugghh, do I really have to carry all these bags? Can't you take a few of them since most of them are yours?" Aleister complained before sitting on the bench."I basically paid for all of these and aren't you a strong and powerful demon? Also, the heavier ones are your sneakers." Ruby argued joining him on the bench.
After Gallen left Ruby didn't miss the sad look on Leanna's face as she watched him leave. She soon noticed tears pouring out of her eyes. The witch couldn't think of an insult to throw at her because she herself knew what it was like to see the man that you love happy with someone else. How he seemed happier with her more than he ever did with you and it makes you feel inadequate and pathetic. The feeling is crushing and it makes you feel hollow and empty like a pretty shell abandoned by the beach, being repeatedly hit by the harsh waves that slowly break you down and bury you under the rough sand deeper and deeper and deeper unless you pull yourself together and be just like the waves trying to destroy you. Waves are relentless and resilient regardless of
"Remind me again where we're going. I've been flying for hours now. My wings are aching and I'm carrying all these dirty clothes which I should tell you is not very heavy. Not heavy at all." Aleister complained floating beside Ruby who only carried a nice basket filled with food.
Aleister had settled himself on a nice natural jacuzzi, the water bubbling warm around him relaxing his tense muscles while he watched the water sprites expertly do their laundry. Although it seemed unlikely, he wanted to have the witch relax with him in this therapeutic bath since she had always seemed disturbed and worried. The demon never missed the tired look on the witch's face and finally knowing the gist of her story he couldn't really judge her for always looking despondent and snobbish and mean all the time but he learned to tolerate it.Ever since he came into this world through her summoning, Aleister had always felt something odd about the witch, something unnatural. He felt oddly familiar with her like they knew each other for so long but every time he remembers something it would instantly disappear like being woken from a dream and completely forgetting all about it. Numerous nights he laid awake beside her in her bed feeling her skin, her touch
It was nine in the morning, the sun is high in the heavens radiating its still bearable warmth into the world while the birds and the other children of the forest continue about with their day of hunting, gathering, and surviving the ever so unpredictable ways of the wild. A rabbit ran inside its burrow just in time to evade the sharp talons of a very hungry eagle while a mother bird flew back to her nest to feed her newly hatched young. The bluebird regurgitated the contents of her stomach and fed them to her children who chirped happily. The tree they were in suddenly vibrated like a bear had just collided against the trunk. The vibration suddenly turned to shaking, making the nest fall off the branch. The little chicks cry to their mother for help but she as well didn't know what to do to save all her children. Just as they were a few feet from impact to the ground a benevolent hand had luckily caught them."Aleister can you please be mindful of
While the two fighters were chatting Manticat had broken in a fight with the squirrel. That hideous rodent had scratched him on his beautiful face and Manticat can't help but be thirsty for his blood. He chased that blasted acorn-loving pest into the forest and swung his scythe at him in a desperate attempt to kill him. The pest ran into the forest like the coward that he is but Manticat wouldn't let his prey get away unscathed. He will make his mother proud and offer her the heart of his enemy. Ruby will be pleased with his achievement.
"I didn't expect that you would be this weak, Neherra. Where's that spunk you've been boasting off for centuries? It's no wonder that even my young daughter could kill you. It's her fate after all and your destiny is to be killed by her hands that's why you've been trying so hard to kill her. But you know what, witch queen? I'll never let you lay a single hand on my daughter." Cadmus declared in a menacing and authoritative voice as he stood in front of the bowed demon queen. The fierce battle that raged between them ended with Cadmus as the obvious winner while Neherra gasped for her breath below his feet. "Then why don't you just kill me and get things over with! Or do you not have the balls to kill me, you spineless dragon!" Neherra screamed as she glared at him fiercely.
It was a dreadful night. The blood moon that bathed the world with a crimson light seemed like it was mimicking the carnage of the land down below. Even the light of the billions of stars in the sky couldn't dispel the malevolent aura that seemed to emanate from the corrupt moon that appears to be watching the world like a condescending eye. Fear and panic reverberated across the atmosphere as death and destruction devoured the light of hope. If an outsider would take a look at the world they would say that it was hell and not the world of mortals. The chaos was especially prevalent in the Splendor Palace where the rich and powerful were supposed to be safe and enjoying a party of their own. Now their careless merriment has turned into despair with no way of escape but a small force of brave fighters are doing their best to fight back against the forces of darkness that ascended from hell. Injured and broken, bleeding and battered, the brave her
"What the hell are you doing? You've been drawing there since we finished making love. Aren't you going to get some rest?" Althreya mumbled groggily as she sat up in his extravagant golden bed wrapped only in the exquisite fur and linens from unknown exotic lands. Her fine bare body dented the soft mattress of the bed while streaks of sunlight haloed her cascading locks. To the man who sat drawing over his varnished table, Althreya looked like a goddess of beauty regardless of her disheveled appearance."I am merely indulging my fancy. If you've missed me that much even though we've spent five days and nights fucking our hearts out, then I would say that you are already in love with me. Well, no one can blame you for that. None can resist my charms anyways." joked Cadmus, making Althreya roll her eyes in annoyance."You fuck harder than you fight." retorted Althreya as she gathered the clothing her gracious host had provided only
A new dawn has arrived and in its wake, a new king is crowned. The proud Kingdom of Camelot had collapsed, the Knights of the Round Table had perished with it, and a new empire rose from its soils born from its people. The new empire is named Neo-Macedonia, ruled by Aurelius Parabellum II, grandson of Augustus Parabellum. Althreya Pendragon, the last queen of Camelot, and her most loyal knights fled from the ruins of Camelot and chose to live a simpler life in the northern region. She returned to the ancestral home of her mother in a small region called Colchester. Albeit being smaller and less grand than their former residence, Althreya and her knights led a life of hunting beasts and slaying down monsters and demons to protect their new home. With the blessing of the Holy Sword Excalibur, the former queen and her chosen knights were able to maintain their youthful prime years never
"My father?!!" Ruby exclaimed in bewilderment. She can't believe the words this man just uttered. Surely he must be bluffing. It's impossible! How can he be her father? Her mother never mentioned anything about him regardless of how many times she begged for the truth. Althreya would always refuse and say that she has work to do that's why she gave up on the topic. Now this man, this stranger from nowhere, comes up to her and tells her he's her father. How the hell is she supposed to feel about it? Anyway, there's also the possibility of an ulterior motive behind his introduction. He might actually be evil or something, so he drew her away from her friends before kidnapping her or murdering her. The only way to find out if he's telling the truth is to see if he really knew her mother so might as well play a little game. "What's mommy's favorite color?" "Blue." Well, that's correct but it was prett
Ruby stepped out of her carriage and gazed upon the proud edifice that housed the most powerful family in the length and breadth of the realm. The brightest lights illuminated the walls of the silver towers highlighting their magnificent architecture and beauty. The gardens are curated to perfection where the hedges are all trimmed and decorated with ribbons and fairy lights. Pixies frolic around while the fairies presented their elegant waltz in the air. The beautiful jewel-covered nymphs used their powers to make the water dance in the little canals and fountains, enchanting everyone as they entered. There are myriads of curiosities and experiences waiting to be discovered and it was just the entrance, what more could the insides hold. The sheer diversity and individuality of everything and everyone contributed to the radiance and majesty of the party making everything become more magical as you go deeper into the castle.
Aurelius sat her on his lap before wrapping his arms around her waist while their lips caress each other with passion and sorrow. Ruby removed his coat and unbuttoned his shirt to expose his strong muscles where sweat dripped down his skin that glistened like ivory. The maiden allowed her hand to explore the tenderness of his beautifully built figure and appreciated the well-defined lines that traced the broadness of his chest and the lengths of his arms.Aurelius pulled down her strap to expose her ample bosom and began caressing her soft delicate mounds that perfectly fit his palms. He teased, squeezed, and twisted her buds to allow her core to lubricate faster as his tongue traced the line on her jaw up to her ears making Ruby moan with pleasure and arousal. The maiden retrieved his slumbering python from the comforts of his pants and roused it with the gentle kisses of her fingertips. Aurelius also inserted his fingers inside her panties to tease her c
The chilling cold hugged her body in its comforting embrace as the water wiped away her tear into non-existence. Silence reigned and darkness engulfed her body as the water muted the world yet it did little to console her heart and wipe away the sorrow which lingers in her chest after finding out about Caspian's demise. Ruby didn't last long in the water as she finally decided to rise to the surface and cleanse her body. She sat herself on top of a boulder and took out a potion which she used to massage her hair with. She allowed it to settle on her locks before focusing on scrubbing the dirt and grime on her body as well as the blood of the demon who pretended to be her friend. She decided to redirect her mind into a different topic than Caspian's death. Sadness and sorrow will do a leader no good. A paragon abandons
Caspian and Ezekiel stood there and remained silent waiting for her to speak. Ruby slumped on the chair never minding her posture and manners as the two joined her on the seats around the table. "You should really leash your cousin, Cassy. He's gone too ballsy speaking to our Ruby like that." Ezekiel spoke spitefully. "That fool is naturally like that. I'm sorry that he treated you that way, dear Ruby." Caspian apologized to the maiden who poured herself a glass of water before drinking tiredly from her golden cup. "It's okay. I'm numb to it. Let the dogs bark because they are mindless beasts. Caspian, I heard that you and your soldiers were ambushed on your way here. Are you well?" "Oh, yes. It was a tough battle and some were even able to drag me deep into the woods to separate me from my squad however no demon will amount to the might of a northern soldier. I sent them scrambling with one roar and a swing of a blade. No one can stop me
