Challenge

"Good morning, Sir!" People around me said at the same time, but I couldn't open my mouth. I can't even move my whole body, I feel like I enter a tiger’s den without knowing.

Why is it still like this, does fate want to play with me?!

Am I just dreaming or is it him, I can see that he called me thirty thousand! But what, he's not the CEO I saw when I applied... Maybe he's just a bodyguard, but he doesn't have anyone else with him.

I want to pull my hair, I feel like I'm going crazy.

"You can go and do your things, it's not even time for work yet. Enjoy some coffee first.” He sweetly smiled at everyone but faded when he looked at me again. He grinned again and went to the elevator, only then I breathed a sigh of relief.

"To all new employees, please come to the third floor. Look at the meeting room no.3 in the right corner, Thank you!” The voice of a woman from the speaker echoed in the surroundings, other employees who were also newly hired crowded the elevator.

There are a few who already know each other, there are a few who are starting to find a friend. While I'm just quiet on the side, I hope I’m like everyone who is a sociable person.

As expected, a woman was waiting for us inside the meeting room. If you look closely, she seems to be younger than me, I can't help but glance at everyone. They seem to be younger than me...

"As you can see, the new CEO arrived. We have no time to inform the newbies about it, the former CEO got hospitalized and decided to sign the legalization to transfer the handling of the company to his son, some might hear it already in the news." The woman looks at us.

A few of us nodded while others said they read it on the internet, I can't answer... What was I doing last night...? I was just with the new CEO and did stupid things!

I want to cry, what happened to me in this job?!

"Excuse me, if I'm not mistaken you are the new secretary, right?" The woman asks causing everyone to look at me.

A forced smile was all I could do and nodded, she looked at me from head to toe and looked back at my face again. She couldn't hide the grimace on her lips, it was obvious that she didn't like what she was seeing.

"Okay, others can go to the respective station except you." She pointed her finger at me, "We just need to talk about something for a while."

As she said, the others left and went to their respective departments, "is there anything else I should know?" I asked and clenched my hands tightly because of nervousness.

"Not really, it's just that... Look at your dress, did you even put an effort to iron it and your face and hair; Your job is secretary of the CEO of JNH company and you should be aware that you need to look presentable all the time.” The tone of her voice was a bit annoyed.

I want to explain that I ironed my clothes and fixed them, the powers that be just couldn't handle it because of the keep but I stopped myself, even if I say that she probably won't understand that.

"I'm sorry, I will do my best next time." I bowed as a sign that I accepted my mistake.

I heard the sound of her tongue, "Next time, tsk, you haven't even started, you're already using that word. Go ahead, go and fix yourself, Sir is waiting for you in the office." She said and was the first to leave the meeting room.

First, it was at home, now this.

I can't help being disappointed in myself, what goes wrong?

Why does it seem like everywhere I go there is something wrong? Destiny doesn't agree with what I want to happen. I was already exhausted from being a positive person; how long should I pretend that everything was fine?

I don't know how to deal with my boss, firstly because of my appearance, secondly, because I'm not in the mood, and thirdly... Because of what happened last night!

Even though I had not been feeling well about everything since morning, I headed for the elevator again and hit the top floor where his office was, trying to calm my heartbeat because I was drowning in nervousness.

I was startled when the elevator rang and opened, I couldn't stop being amazed. Compared to the first floor, you wouldn't think it was an office, the view is relaxing.

"Finally, you are here." The sexy voice I heard that night once again echoed by my side.

I slowly turned my neck to him and immediately put on my business smile, "S-Sir, good morning."

A silly smile appeared at me but his gaze was so cold that he didn't like what he was seeing, "the world is too small, wow!" He sarcastically said.

"T-that's... I'm sorry Sir, I don't know what you mean." I said desperately not being able to look at him.

"Oh really?" He said in amazement and grabbed something from his pocket, a leather brown wallet. "So, I shouldn't thank you for this three thousand?" He took out the three thousand which was a bit crumpled and waved it in front of me.

"I-I really don't know what you mean..." I couldn't finish what I was going to say when he stepped closer to me.

"Aren't you enjoying my performance to the point you left three thousand as a tip for me? Why are you acting like that now?" He said seriously and stepped even closer to me.

I couldn't help but take a step back, afraid about what he would do. I opened my mouth but no words came out, I didn't know what to say.

"Tsk, fine if you will act like you don't know me. Let's see how long you can act like that," He bent down and put his mouth close to my ear, "my secretary."
