Chapter 2

Lara stepped out of the bathroom after bathing. Janet was already dressed in a skimpy pink gown that barely covered her buttọcks.

Lara asked, "Are you going out tonight?"

Janet responded, "Yes, what else would I be doing, sleeping?"

Janet laughed, but Lara frowned and sat on the bed, admiring the silk bedspread.

Janet said, "That's your dress on the bed. Madam asked me to lend you some clothes, as you're going out with me tonight."

Lara frowned, "Going out where? I'm not going anywhere with you."

Janet ignored Lara and applied her makeup by the mirror.

Janet said, "I don't have time to argue, Lara. You nag a lot."

Lara replied, "You caused all this. Drinking garri in the village is better than doing nonsense here."

Madam Alora knocked and entered the room. She saw Lara seated on the bed and Janet dressed in a short pink gown. She looked at Lara and asked, "Why are you still seated? Stand up and dress quickly."

Lara frowned, stood up, and opened her bag. Madam Alora watched as Lara brought out a torn pant.

Madam Alora gasped, "What is that nonsense?!"

Lara shuddered and asked, "Me? My pant?"

Madam Alora replied, "Yes, you! You can't wear that torn pant and bra out. You're going out with a billionaire, not some cheap client. Janet!"

Janet responded, "Yes, madam."

Madam Alora said, "Give her one of your pants and buy her new clothes and pants tomorrow."

Janet replied, "Okay, madam."

Lara frowned as Janet brought out a transparent, tiny pant.

Lara gasped, "What's this? I can't wear this."

Madam Alora stared in disbelief. She knew she had a lot to do for Lara, even though she was cute, her locality was too much.

Madam Alora yelled, "Shut your mouth and put it on! Did you even brush your teeth? You want to meet my client in that torn pant?"

Madam Alora picked up the torn pant with two fingers, raised it, and said, "Look at the pant you want to wear. It has holes and has been sewn. I can't believe a beautiful lady like you would wear this."

Madam Alora sniffed the pant, threw it on the floor, picked up Janet's pant, and raised it.

Madam Alora said, "This is what beautiful ladies should wear. Classic pant that will bring out your sèxy shape, not some dirty pant."

Lara frowned, not liking the pant, and replied, "What's anyone's business with my pant? It's under my clothes."

Madam Alora replied, "Enough! Put this on."

Lara frowned, took the pant, turned around, and wore it. The pant hugged her buttọcks tightly, making them stick out.

Madam Alora said, "Now this is what we call pant. Janet, let me see the gown. Does she need a bra?"

Janet picked up the short red gown and handed it to Madam Alora.

Madam Alora said, "Perfect! Put this on! You don't need that torn bra."

Lara frowned, not understanding why she had to dress so provocatively. She refused to accept the gown.

Madam Alora asked, "Are you wearing it or not? Or do you want me to call Jack? I'll throw you outside, and you can find your way back to your village. I don't care."

Lara frowned and finally took the red gown and wore it.

Lara was sad and had no option. She cursed Janet in her mind as she wore the gown, which hugged her body tightly and accentuated her brẹasts.

Madam Alora said, "Perfect! Now you're good to go. Brush your teeth properly, so you don't irritate my client with mouth odor. Janet, meet me for dinner before you leave. You're going to Billionaire Mike Ernest's new house. I've already contacted him and told him about Lara, so take her and bring her back safely."

Janet responded, "Okay, madam. But why didn't Mike send his car?"

Madam Alora said, "You know Mike. He only wants massage. He'll like Lara, and her payment will be triple."

Janet responded, "Okay, ma."

Janet stared at Lara as soon as Madam Alora left. She saw Lara sobbing again and said, "I'm sorry."

Lara responded, "Don't touch me! You want to take me to a man's house, and you can't lend me money to go back to the village?"

Janet frowned and said, "He's not just any guy. His father is a billionaire, and he's the sole heir to Ernest Hotel and Suites. Their hotel is one of the biggest here, and he has other entertainment houses. You'll like him. He's handsome, dark-skinned, every lady's dream."

Lara yelled, "Shut up, Janet! I hate you! You're not my friend anymore. I can't breathe in this tight dress."

Janet apologized, "I'm sorry."

Lara responded, "Just leave me alone. Where's the brush and toothpaste since your madam said I should brush my teeth? I wonder if I'm going to be close enough for him to smell my mouth first."

Janet smiled, brought out a new brush, put paste on it, and called Lara.

Janet said, "Lara, here it is, be quick."

Lara walked to the bathroom, snatched the toothbrush, and started brushing her teeth.

Lara had naturally white teeth. Madam Alora had insulted her, claiming she had mouth odor.

Lara frowned and wanted to deal with Madam Alora. She wouldn't be used to make money from men.

After brushing, Lara walked out and didn't see Janet.

Lara sighed and reflected on her life as she stared at her reflection in the mirror.

Lara was beautiful, cute, and everything a man would want. She blamed her mother for their suffering, for marrying an older man.

Her mother knew her father had a wife and three kids, but she had an affair with him, resulting in her family chasing her away. Many young men wanted to marry her mother, but she rejected them for an older man.

Lara wondered what her mother saw in her father.

She affirmed to herself not to have anything to do with any guy until she was ready for marriage.

Even as a young adult, Lara hadn't taken any relationship seriously. She only wanted a bachelor to marry her, not a mere relationship. But because of her mother's story, some women didn't want their sons to marry her, fearing she might dump them for an older man.
