Four.

Stella POV.

"What do we have next?" I groaned to my friend, I didn't want to look at my schedule, and I was in a bad mood, Mr James had ruined my hopes and dreams of having a nice day at school.

"Can I see your schedule?" she asks and I hand it over, showing her my schedule, she looks through the whole thing, pointing to all the classes we're gonna be sharing, I was happy to have a friend finally.

"We got one more class before lunch, come on it's not the worst class ever," Calesti promises me with a smile on her face.

"Calesti," I say getting her attention, we're becoming friends, I hoped, having a friend makes things a lot better.

"Yeah?" she says with the same smile on her face.

"My brother is here in the school with us, I wanted to check on him," I tell her, telling his grades next, he's younger than us.

"Oh, they're having lunch right now, you two won't be meeting a lot, they keep us separated since the younger students and the older ones keep starting fights," Calesti answers me, so I won't be seeing my brother much, but I just hoped that he doesn't start any fight.

"Oh, okay, thank you," I say with a smile, we moved to our next class and we took a seat next to each other.

I noticed some new students walking in, Calesti was the only familiar face in this place, and I knew that I wasn't running, and I wasn't being watched by the mean teacher, everyone had their uniform on, but they wore it a lot differently than me, on them it looked cool, they had shorter skirts, rolled up sleeves, and jewelries on, I thought those wouldn't be allowed in here, but most of them wore them, the cool kids.

I avoided their eyes, I didn't want to be on their radar, and I saw Calesti doing the same, the class started and we paid attention to the teacher, now this teacher wasn't too bad, she was nice.

"Royals, if you mind paying me attention," she calls out, but I didn't know what she meant by royals, then it clicked, the cool kids, she called them royals, they even have cool names.

"We're paying attention, Miss Mia," one person says, but they didn't sound like they paid attention.

"Sure you are," Miss Mia says with an eye roll and goes back to her class.

The class ended after that, and we all got to leave, the cool kids left all together while me and Calesti left together, I wanted to ask her a bit more about the school and everyone in here, but I waited until we got to the cafeteria, we both got our lunches and took a seat, we sat on a table and I noticed how the tables were divided into clicks.

"Calesti, who are the royals?" I ask her.

"They are like real royals, and they sit there together," Calesti says, pointing to their table, it wasn't just the ones from our class, there were a lot of them, and they all looked like snobs.

"Are they like related or something?" I ask her, still looking at them, their table felt like the table that judges you, it felt like they were the origin of the eyes that felt like they were locked on me the whole time.

"No, you see the guy with blond hair?" she asks and I nod, there weren't many blonds in the group.

"Yeah," I say.

"He and the guy with black hair hate each other, I swear it feels like they live under the saying keep your friends close and keep your enemy closer," Calesti says and I looked at them with wide eyes, why would anyone do that?

"But why?" I ask her, if they hate each other why would they be friends?

"I don't know, sometimes you do what you gotta do, even if it's sitting with the enemy, anything for the greater good," she says with a shrug.

"What's the greater good here?" I ask her confused, I don't see the benefits, we're in school, what kind of danger would they be in?

"Oh, sweet Stella, how I wish I was as innocent as you," she says and I rolled my eyes at her.

"I know school is hard Calesti, but we'll survive," I assured her, we'll manage to survive the school and graduate eventually even if we have to go through things here.

"Yeah, I'm talking about school," Calesti says with another eye roll, it feels like I'm missing something.

The pressure from the eyes on me, it felt like I had someone's eyes on me and the pressure was too much, I wanted to get away from the eyes, I needed to get out of this place, it felt like I was suffocating in here.

"Calesti, I don't feel good," I say hyperventilating, I'm trying to get my breath under control, but I can't really breathe.

"Let's go out," she says holding my hand and dragging me out of the cafeteria, the eyes that were on me had a chock hold on me, and I fell down on my knees trying to breathe but was unable to.

"Stella, Stella, breathe, you need to breathe," Calesti was now yelling at me trying to get me to breathe, but the hold was there, until we were out of the cafeteria, away from everyone else, I finally breathed.

"I'm good," I lied, I wasn't good, I felt like my whole body was shaking due to the pain in my body.

"No, you're not, I should take you to the nurse's office," Calesti says helping me up, but I couldn't get up, I tried to, but couldn't.

"Hey, are you girls okay?" someone asks us, walking toward us, I lifted my head up and was met with the most beautiful eyes ever, grey, they were grey eyes, they were shining like silver, I couldn't move my eyes off their eyes.

"Hey, Theo, I don't think she's well," Calesti answers for me, and I turn my eyes from his silver ones to her, just to glare at her.

"Hey, pretty girl what's wrong?" Theo the new guy asks and I looked at him, I looked at more than just his eyes, I could see his blond hair, I could see the smile he had on his face and the way he was looking at me, I don't think I have ever had a crush this quickly on anyone, but I just did.

"I'm...I'm okay," I answer Theo.

"I think I should take her to the nurse's office," Calesti says.

"You should Cici, she looks too pale, maybe I can help you with that," Theo offers.

"No, we're fine," I assure him, but I didn't want him to leave, I couldn't just tell him so, instead I'm good looking at him from afar.

"Let me help you first," he says standing on one side of mine, while Calesti stood on the other side, they both helped me walk toward the nurse's office, it wasn't that long of a walk, and we did walk toward the same part of the school that I'm not supposed to be in.

"If you need help, call me Cici," he says calling her the same nickname again, I don't know why I was so jealous of him calling her a nickname, I shouldn't mind that they were friends, I didn't know the guy, why am I feeling anything toward him?

"Okay," she agrees with him, we were in the nurse's office now, and Calesti told them about my shocking episode.

"Take a seat," the nurse says, and I do, she checks on me, and makes sure that I can breathe, she asks if I have asthma or something else, but I am fine, I assure her that I am.

"Stay here for a bit, if you're feeling all good, you can go back to class," the nurse says after discovering that I'm fine, except for being a bit pale, with a rapid heartbeat.

"Can I stay?" Calesti asks her.

"Sure," the nurse agrees.

"Are you feeling any better?" Calesti asks me.

"Who's Theo?" I asked her instead, I was feeling a lot better.

"He's one of the royals, but he's one of the nicer ones," she assures me.

"I didn't see him with the royals," I say, I didn't have a good look at them, but I remember the ones in the class, and I didn't see him.

"You didn't look, there are many royals, not just one," Calesti says with an eye roll.

"Sorry," I say feeling ashamed for talking badly to her, she's my new friend and I should be nice to her.

"It's okay, I know the first day is hard," she says with a sigh.

"I'm feeling okay, we should get back to class," I say, I was able to breathe again.

"Nah, we should stay and try to skip as much of the class as possible," Calesti whispers to me and I nod agreeing with her.

"Okay," I say out loud.

"I know Theo from outside of the school, we're neighbours, and we grew up together, he's a nice guy," she says and I nod.

"Calesti, I don't understand why they are called royals yet," I say since we're skipping classes and the royals have been the topic of the day.

"They are kind of royals, they have some royal blood in them," she answers me, I didn't know much about this country maybe they really are royals, but what do I know?

"Girls, are you two breathing fine?" the nurse comes back and asks us checking on us.

"We are, but I think we should stay here for a bit more," Cici says giving the nurse some puppies eyes.

"I think you two are fine, get going," she says writing us a late slip.

"Fine, but if we die from lack of oxygen, it's on you," Calesti says to the nurse.

"You won't die," the nurse assures her.

We went back to our classes, and we took a seat together, I looked around the class and noticed that there were royals in the class, I looked at the girl in the class, she looked different, the uniform was shorter, the makeup was stronger and the way she carried herself, I think I saw her on the royals table earlier.

"Calesti, question," I whisper to her as we leave the class and move to our next one.

"Yeah?" she answer me.

"That girl..." I say pointing to the seat where that girl was sitting.

"Yes, she's one of the royals," she answers me.

"I did a good job," I say happily.

"You did," Calesti says with a chuckle.

The next class was boring, but this was school, no one expected the school to be interesting, not the whole time and the teachers didn't pay much attention to the fact that I was a new student, they didn't care really about me, and I was glad not to get any special attention, I didn't want the special attention really.

"You need to pass by the office," the teacher told me during our last class.

"Okay," I agree with them, Calesti wasn't with me this time, instead I had to walk there alone.

I made it to the office and saw that Finn my little brother was there too, we checked with the secretary, she had our files, and she made sure that we went to every class we had, once she was done, she told us that it's okay for us to leave.

"Do you know where the bus is?" I asked Finn as we left.

"My friends told me that a lot of them take the bus, so it shouldn't be too hard," Finn answers me.

"Do you know where home is?" I ask him next and he laughs, none of us knew where our home was.

"Let's go discover," I say just glad to get out of the school, the suffocating feeling was killing me.

"I'll text mom too," Finn says going through his phone.
