Allie's POV I shook a bit but braved up to proceed with what I'm doing. It was time to add the salt, I shuffled among the ingredients and found out it was not among them. I carefully checked the drawers but I couldn't find the big jar of salt. I climbed a stool and inspected the cupboard one after the other except the one Aaron was backing. I am sure I kept it with other sealed seasonings. He must have misplaced it somewhere. I thought about biting on my fingers. I stared at Aaron caressing my hands nervously on the counter. "Aaron," I called, nibbling on my lips. "I need to check that cabinet behind you. Your meal wouldn't be tasty without salt" I continued, filling him with the prerogative of that salt in his food. "Come and take it, woman, I'm not stopping you," he said plainly, his head still on in its bowed position. Does his neck not hurt? "Yes, you are stopping me" I grumbled, and grunted tremendously, swabbing my leg impatiently. He raises his head gazing at me innocen
Allie's POV Friday evening: I was edgy, anxious and committed to dressing to impress my date partner, Austin. I sought Layla's aid and we went out dress shopping on Wednesday which was coincidentally our day off. I also purchased a new make-up set, handbag and heels. I still have second thoughts about the black extra gown Aaron got me or the ones I bought. I didn't show Layla the gown though. Basically, she came to the mansion which lent us the opportunity to have our ladies' time. All the time we were inside, I was inwardly praying that Aaron doesn't show up. Everything is set, I'm only waiting for the morning to rise. I missed my Austin a lot and I will do anything to go on this date. Happiness mixed with nervousness. My phone rings, and the caption on the screen shows Mum. I hurriedly picked up the call as it had been a while since we chitchatted. "Hi, Mum""Allie, My hubby just recovered!" she exclaimed joyously. The best news ever. "Oh my! Thank God!" I screamed happily.
Allie's Pov My cheeks flushed in a shade of red at Aaron's outburst. I gazed at Richard to observe his reaction to the situation at hand, but his emotions seemed to be clueless as his facade was overshadowed by an undescribed expression. I chose to be mute after vowing to get back at Aaron later. I am not letting this one slide away. Pervert. ***** We parked at the restaurant's car junction. A uniform-clothed man approached us and led us inside. I was more amazed by the inner construction. My admiration was cut short when I sighted Austin in his sitting position at the far end of the building. Apparently, there were no other customers which means he had rented out the whole place. I waved back at him, to acknowledge him of my arrival. "Hi," I greeted, settling myself on the chair. "Hi, how was your drive here? You are used to the journey anyways," he said warmly, slightly shrugging his shoulders as his eyes glowed from his bright smile. "It was great. Aside from that, my re
Allie's POVI gazed at him sceptically. I had wished but didn't predict it sooner. I wasn't as bewildered as I had visualized. My dream is to be his. It was coming true. My mind was pleading and screaming to play hard to get, to mention to him to give me some time to think. But my reply slips out of my tongue unknowingly. "I will be your girlfriend"I breathed in relief and I felt washed by the feeling that I was now taken. I was Austin's. Not that I hadn't dated in my twenty-five years on earth. I had gone on a date thrice but it was more of wanting not to be left out in the squad of couples. This was the first relationship I would say I looked up to. I wanted, I wished for. Although, it felt like something was missing. He brought out a love necklace from a box. He stood up two steps closer, he unclasped the chain on my neck and replaced it with his. He strained his neck and smooched my opened chest where the pendant lies. My heart swells at his romantic gesture. "It's a couple

Allie's POV There was an unusual awkward muteness after Aaron left. I exhaustively supervised Mrs Smith as she tries to use body language to denote a message to her husband whose mind comes off to be in his own realm. "Congratulations, Allie," Mr Smith said profoundly. He consciously inflates his eyes to meet mine with a soft smile. "To be honest, I had invariably hoped you would admit things like this to us. It kinda elaborates how habitable you are around us." he divulged, gaping at me passionately. His words warmth my heart, but his expression earlier was far unpredictable for this to be his trepidation. I skimmed at him intensely, he definitely has a hidden reason. He glanced back at me, eyebrows stretched in query for my response to his statement. When he detected I wasn't trying to let out any reply, he said, "Allie, I. sincerely desire happy life for you. Although, I was kinda worried during your teenage years and premature twenties. '' he hung back, but his sta
Allie's POV "I will be with Aaron," Mrs Smith says, leaving me to dwell in anticipation for the sudden private dialogue. "Allie, " he called."You don't need to continue with the deal anymore" he announced, resting his back on the comforting chair. "Why?" I asked, obviously dissatisfied by the declaration. Even though it would be a weight relief, I have a misconception about this. Why all of a sudden when I think I can have hope? I'm comfortable with Aaron now I guess, and the one I could lure him to date if possible is set. "Because you now have your responsibility upon your own life Allie. I had brought it up because I thought you were the right one to push him up to it. I should have considered your personal life too. Let's cut it here" he briefed me on his reasons without me asking. Like seriously? because I'm now dating doesn't hold me to be against my task. This is ridiculous. "What if I say I want to proceed with the deal? I'm not complaining. You lay it down
Allie's POV Aaron race dangerously, risking through every tiny space among the cars on the road. It went on for minutes until my body couldn't take the rough path. "Aaron!" I hollered, at the top of my voice, breathing heavily at the same time trying to secure my regular tempo of breathing. He turned over to the side of the road immediately, staring at me in an expression which is close to concern "Are you alright?" he requested, stretching a spare bottled water to me. I stared at him weirdly still not competent to voice out. I gape at the surrounding, God knows the place looks odd. Apart from the sounds from the few cars passing on the road, it was silent until the cops car and two motorbikes parked at our back. "Damn…" he cursed, punching the steering wheel. "Just stay in the car" he ordered, removing his seat belt. "I could be of help." I protested, gearing to come out too."Those motorbikes are paparazzi. You know what I mean, don't you? Just stay. I will
