Don't cross the line

Lucas shook his head and let out a sigh.

"I don't think it's that simple, Lucas. She's scared and confused, and I don't blame her. That woman has been trying to ruin our relationship for months now, and I can see the toll it's taking on Sophia."

"I understand, but you can't give up. You love her, right? And she loves you too, I can see it in her eyes. You just have to give her time and be patient. She'll come around eventually," Stephen said reassuringly. Lucas nodded, feeling a bit better.

"Thanks, man. I appreciate it. I just don't want to lose her, you know? She's everything to me."

"I know, and you won't lose her. Trust me on this. Now, let's go get some drinks and take your mind off things for a while," Stephen said, smiling.

Lucas couldn't help but smile too. Maybe it was going to be okay after all.

"But wait, you're gonna drink with this hand? Aren't you feeling any pain?" Lucas asked concerned and Stephen chuckled.
