Elena's phone rang again, and she let out a hiss of irritation before reluctantly answering the call.

"You should know when to call, Maxwell. You just interrupted my plan," she snapped into the phone.

"I'm sorry, Elena," Maxwell replied, his voice dry and emotionless. Elena's anger was still palpable as she demanded.

"Why did you call?" Maxwell seemed unfazed by her attitude.

"The only problem I have with you is your anger issue. I called to check on how your plan is going," he responded calmly. Elena's frustration reached a boiling point.

"The plan you interrupted or which one?" she yelled into the phone. Her voice was strained, and there was an underlying tone of desperation as she tried to keep her emotions in check.

Actually, I called to give you a new plan," Maxwell said, ignoring Elena's outburst. Elena listened intently, although she was already planning to decline.
