4. Naked View.

I tried to be as quiet as possible sneaking out of the pack house before dawn. If my mother realized I had slipped out, she’d surely put a stop to my little adventure. But the beautiful lake I had discovered called to me.

The grounds were completely still and silent as I tiptoed across them in the early morning darkness. The pack warriors could rest easy with their families now, thanks to Freya’s protective shields around across every pack territory. No one would be out to see me considering it was 4:56am in the morning and the sun wouldn't set until 5:30am.

I followed the narrow stream, its gently splashing the only sound breaking the silence. Reaching the treeline, I could barely make out the glassy surface of the lake through the branches. I picked up my pace.

When I finally stepped into the little clearing, the lake seemed to glow even in the pre-dawn light. The water was like glass, perfectly mirroring the pinks and oranges starting to spread across the sky as the sun peeked over
