14. Massive shock.

The shock that went through the room was almost frightening. I felt as if the air had been sucked out of my lungs. My mother’s face paled, her eyes widening in disbelief. Luna Freya looked as if she’d been struck, her gaze darting between Dylan and me.

I struggled to process this revelation. The twins had my powers. How was that possible? My mind raced, trying to connect the dots, to understand what Dylan had just revealed to me.

As the shock of Dylan’s revelation settled over me, pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. The way they entered my dreams, their confidence, as if they knew things others didn’t... Even their hesitation when I had asked them about it before. I had assumed it was some gift from Freya, but how wrong I’d been.

My eyes widened as the full realization hit me. They had my powers. All this time, they’d had my powers and never said a word. A mix of emotions washed over me – anger at their deception, yet a glimmer of hope knowing my powers weren’t truly gone.
